Yours for the Asking 1936 Comedy/Romance George Raft, Delores Costello Barrymore and Ida Lupino.

Casino operator Johnny Lamb (George Raft) hires down-on-her-luck socialite Lucille Sutton (Delores Costello Barrymore) as his casino hostess, in order to help her and to improve casino income. But Lamb's pals fear he may follow Lucille onto the straight-and-narrow path, which would not be good for business. So they hire Gert Malloy (Ida Lupino) and Dictionary McKinney (Reginald Owen), a pair of con-artists, to manipulate Johnny back off the path of righteousness.

If anyone bothers to scratch below the surface, this film will reward you. It zeros in on the indefinables of love, their deceptions and their victories. Both actresses bring the best to their roles. The comedic element cheapens their success.

There are two sides , if raft was at Warner Brothers in his early years , based on his star making performance in Scarface, he might have been cast in early gangster movies like Robinson and Cagney, Paramount signed him and he was able to have more versatile parts playing lots of romantic leads but with a tough guy personality. Not a killer type. He went to Warner in the late 1930s and played in tough guy roles. He was as it turned out known for this.
