Yeah, it's fucking horse shit. Lots of people don't go for extras until they're done with the whole game. There's no way to know you'd have to do the whole thing over and in order, to have it work the way it's listed. It's a massive oversight and terrible game design. Just like the whole fucking DeathStroke mission.

Actually anything at the final offer wouldnt work for me. Had to do like ten times GCPD at NG + just to get one of the challenges of doing specific takedowns and stuff. Just annoying. Keeping my fingers crossed for a way better batman title with arkham knight (i do trust in rocksteady).
Rank 6 is the game breaker. It's so specifically built that you can only do it in 1 room. If you miss that room, you will not get the other challenges.
Hey man i need your help. I accidentaly broke the walls during the first encounter with joker (without getting the thropy) the walls respawn during deadshot's mission?
True... I don't remember this in the two previous episodes: you could always wait the end of the game, beat the final boss, and then unlock and gather all that you previously missed...
I really wish they would have reloaded the bad guys in these predator rooms like in Arkham City. They always spawned back After awhile, now theyre gone when we need them lol.
I only got to rank 5 the first time through, rank 9 the second time through. I'm finally at 13 now trying to get the last 2 before the game ends . This order crap is stupid as hell. I have really been disappointed by this game. Other than the story itself and the crime scene thing which I thought was a cool add. Ive pretty much hated this game everything about it

@@0verend Maybe because this game was developed by WB Montreal and not Rocksteady, so they might not know how to respawn the gunmen in. Still, it's weird that WB Montreal managed to replicate everything about the Arkham series EXCEPT for the respawning mechanic...
For anybody having trouble with rank 7 go to the industrial district. A little north of the steel mill there's a roof with some enemies without guns. Defeat them without doing any takedowns to get it.

I MUST give yiu my thanks as well, i'm currently redoing Origins, except this time on my PS3 instead of my 360 as I am merely "renting" Origins, Asylum and City to kill some time as I do not intend on keeping those three for my PS3 since I already have them for my 360 after all and as such I really must thank you for your info since I am well aware these days that Origins is a LOT more restrictive than City is and as such one screwed up one-time only per run Pred room can REALLY fuck up the WN list if one intends to try and do all 15 on the normal mode of course so again, MANY thanks for this invaluable tip, know that it is VERY much appreciated, seriously. ^^
For all that struggle in rank 7 go to any roof, especially around Sionis' Mill, find any NPCs hanging around there with clubs and just beat them up. Do not use any takedown. Just beat them up and watch yourself rank up
I use beatdowns and it says I can use gadgets but it doesn't track. So I don't use gadgets and only beatdowns and it doesn't track maybe I need to restart my ps3
I just got Worst Nightmare 7 after several unsuccessful tries. Maybe this will work for others. Go to Penguin's Ship(Final Offer) and find the Sniper in the crow's nest tower. Don't disturb any of the other guys on the ship. Sneak up behind the Sniper and use your batclaw(I think this is key) to pull him towards you. When I did that he lost his gun, but didn't actually leave his position. I then immediately did a cape-stun beatdown and when I knocked him out I got credit for a full predator encounter and Rank 7 even though all the other guards were untouched. Try it a few times because it doesn't always count the one Sniper as a full pred-encounter.
For the "no detective vison/not being seen" challenge, you can do it during the Firefly mission on the bridge. There's an outdoor corridor with 3 snipers along it, and 3 vantage points. 3 silent takedowns, super easy.
This game came out 5 years ago. For Batman Day this year 2019 I pledged to beat this Worst Nightmare track and compete my Dark Knight challenges. Finally did it today. If this helps anyone. You can do challenges 8-15 in the I am the Night mode easily before copperhead
If I do I am the night mode or a new game plus will it keep my Dark Knight progress? I only have worst nightmare left to do and I’m golden. If it starts me over from scratch then that’s no Bueno.

Rank 14 can easily be done in the GCPD predator room. Immediately after entering the room, grapple to the gargolye on the left and do an inverted takedown on the cop. Swing back to the original gargolye and wait for 3 cops to come check what is going on. Do the same trick down here (i.e. remote claw one cop into another) then quickly attach the nearby propane tank to the remaining officer. If it doesn't reset, automatically restart. Rank 15 is easily done on the Final Offer's deck in the open world. Do something to get the enemies moving (i.e. remote controlled batarang, smoke bomb, loud takedown on one of the enemies). Once you see enemies next to railings on opposite sides (doesn't even have to be opposite sides, even someone on the bridge will work), use the remote claw on them. Best part is that this is done in the open world. Hence, as long as you manage to reach Rank 14 in story/new-plus modes, this is easy to achieve.
This is the way. But don’t do an inverted takedown wait until he’s near the tank and do a stun and beat down. More guys come over. Easier to do the gas thing.
I had to go through 3 times and then I died on I am the night mode so I quit and traded in the game. I hated this game but that was the cherry on top. I mean everyone who plays thw Batman games always goes through them at least twice so I don't know why they did it that way

actually nightmare mode was a blessing compared to the "i am the night mode" if you die the game resets and you have to start from the very beginning! this is particularly awful with how bad the control response is!

Stefano Bertacchi it means you have to clear out a predator room in 'story mode' by knocking out the thugs using punches. definitely not easy, but it can be done.

Great method, thanks! To people looking for extra help: It may take a couple tries, for me, once one of the guys glitched up upon colliding with the rail and went into rubber band mode (happens a lot in this buggy game) and another attempt a 2nd guy appeared out of no where making this method impossible. It's also really easy on Hard Times upon entering Blackgate.
You can actually do all of these within a single playthrough (I just completed it on Normal). Your options of where you need to perform them may become more limited, but it saves you the trouble of starting the game again in NG+. Note that the reward you get for completing all the challenges (Dark Knight skin) will already have all the damage you accumulated on your normal suit (slashes, shattered armour etc) but the cowl & cape will be new. So that sucks.
You can actually complete rank 9 and 10 on the same predator encounter in the gcpd building, do all the takedowns and just make sure your not spotted while doing it
11:30 i feel so dumb. This whole time i thought the hanging ledge takedown was when your hanging and pulled them over the ledge. No wonder i wasn’t getting the rank🤦🏿♂️😂

Well shit, looks like rank 6 is impossible because I exploded both walls during the first encounter with Joker. Fuck this stupid ranked bullshit. For fuck's sake, Arkham City didn't make this rookie mistake; there's no excuse for it here. Who the hell thought this was a good idea?
For number 3 they don't all have to be Silent Takedowns. You just can't be seen. Inverted Takedowns, Floor Grate Takedowns, and other such immediate takedowns are allowed. Now you can't do something like Drop Attack from a high place and then knock them out (the guy you dropped on technically sees you before finishing him off). Just make sure your takedowns are the instant type and you get into hiding before anyone has a chance to actually see you.
Its impossible to finish the game because i am the night can be replayed at all time if you die. And i completed the dark knight path in i am the night
So, I've beaten all three game modes but still have a few more predator room challenges to do. Are there anymore in the game, or am I just up Shit Creek?
Looks like you're shit outta luck. Luckily, I don't think that there is an achievement for 100% completion, so you can start a new save, and do all of them over. It sucks, but if you want the achievement, it might be the only way.
MrE10000g So after some digging, I found out you simply have to die in IATN mode, then it resets that game, even after you've completed it. It still sucks that I have to even do that; just allow predator rooms to respawn so players don't have to go through crap like this.
Watching this video made me hate the game more because it took me a long ass time to finish these challenges and because the game glitched out I got stuck at 99% completion

Pretty sure Rank 7 is glitched. I did it the exact same way as you did, and got nothing. Did it in a predator room (as in, inside with gun carrying enemies) and still got nothing. I even tried it using ONLY beatdowns, and still nothing!
Advice to all in rank 7. The sniper glitch is possible. Make sure that the guy, stand in the rail before he fall. Slowly hit him with strike punches till you push him to stand in the rail.

Hey everyone, want to have all the time in the world to complete the Worst Nightmare tree? All you have to do is start the I Am The Night Mode and play through the first act of the game to take down predator rooms. THEN...LET YOURSELF DIE. Why? Because the tree is shared between all your games. Then all you have to do is start over and repeat the game until you finish the tree. That way you can take on the tree in easier Predator rooms and not worry about losing so much progress. (assuming you're doing it just for the costume) Otherwise I suggest you beat the IATN mode first to get the Achievement/Trophy (so it won't be such a waste) and then kill your game on purpose. The idea being that you can have an unlimited number of games to play through so that you can unlock everything you need to. I agree, tackling the tree in order is a pretty bad decision on the part of Montreal, especially when you can only complete these objectives in game, but this is the only loophole to this system I've figured out so, hope it helps.

Rank 7 is so broken I’m actually laughing so hard. I did it 3 times and it didn’t count it so I was mad. Then one time out of nowhere I did a combat encounter and it said I completed rank 7 for no reason whatsoever. I couldn’t stop laughing after that because I spent 2 hours trying to do it and it didn’t work so I quit. Then it just gave me it. It was hilarious! 😂
Honestly guys, if you find yourself with no predator challenges left on "I am the Knight" mode and you haven't finished these, the best option is to die and restart. Sure, you'll have to do the story all over but "I am the Knight mode" doesn't count towards the game completion and you'll be able to get the Worst Knightmare challenges.
I'm not sure if you are going to read this but I want to thank you a lot for making this video and helping me complete the dark knight challenges I never really managed to complete these when I was younger but I replayed it on Christmas and finished it yesterday. Anyway I wish you the best!
I don't know wtf they were thinking... The game is broken beyond belief, the battle system is frustrating, the grappel is pissin me off, at the most obvious spots the grappel just won't work, but 500 miles away it does! Iv'e gotten trophies that I'm not supposed to have, the copperhead fight crashed and she vanished and I could just leave the room without beating her. It's a good game but all glitches is really bustin my balls
@@C3lestialSt4r me too I played the Game on PS3 and I don't remember any game breaking bug. Probably the PC Port was ass and that was it, but that also happened in Arkham Knight.
If there is anyone here in 2020 (almost 2021) and wondering the same thing, the Rank 8 can be done by combining Silent takedowns and Inverted takedowns, especially useful in New Game + where there are multiple enemies with protection per room.

You can't. The game was intentionally designed to stop respawning predator encounters so that it forces you to play a New Game+ if you didn't do good planning on your first playthrough for the Dark Knight challenges.
259 it's weird though because sometimes I will get the worst nightmare challenges while doing free roam, even after finishing the game. But there are some challenges that basically force you to do NG+ or I am the Night.
unfortunately if you finish all 3 stories without completing the nightmare challenges I don't think you'll have a chance to do a lot of them. I know some you'll be able to do in free roam but some you have to do them in the story which is a flaw I will agree there.

Only this time, I aimed to cover all of the Worst Nightmare ones first, while doing the others. The others can be done in roaming time, both Shadow Vigilante and Gotham Protector, whilst some, if not all, of the WN ones need to be done inside the game play. I tried the Predator Encounter With No Takedowns one of WN on top of the GCPD and The Final Offer, all foes on beatdowns, TWICE over, and still got nowhere. Then I did it in the Drugs Lab in the Steel Mill.

Tip: you can do both rank 14 and 15 in the GCPD. Do 14 in combat in the room where the cops are beating up hobos. And do 15 in the predator room, (send a sonic batarang to the place with the glass, a guy should go over, and another guy will walk up the stairs. Wait a sec before you do it though.)
I know that it‘s annoying to start new game plus, JUST to be able to complete this but I think that one thing is more annoying than that. The sonic batarang is useless outside of missions. Whenever you want to use it on some random rooftop, it‘ll only cause those visible waves and its sound. The sonic batarang is already bad enough, since it can‘t knock multiple people in the same area out. Once you knocked someone out with it, you can‘t even throw another one. The fact that it recharges very slowly sucks as well but that doesn‘t really matter for me.
Okay yeah you just have no idea about how useful it is, and even less so about how the description specifies it only works on enemies with heartbeat monitors. And of course it only knocks out 1 thug per room. Shit would be OP otherwise The problem is that you clearly are not playing predator encounters as intended

@@crangejo I am not, knocking out thug in one hit without risk is truly useful, but I used to spam this thing to complete stage 6 of the worst nightmare, mainly to drag enemies to the vents. I did this stage during predator section after Batman met Joker for the first time.
@@kacperaskawski3461 yeah that's my point, the Shock insta KO is a very useful tool on its own, but even without it the Sonic Batarang is fantastic as it makes any set up you may want to do, possible, as the enemy WILL be there, isolated. You should make the most use out of it before detonating one

Good news is if you manage to complete everything on your normal playthrough you can just make a copy of that game save and continually start on new game plus. Then you'll never have to do this again
Worst nightmare 7 isnt working for me. I have tried the final offer and the steel mill predator sequences using only the beatdown to kill everyone. Does it matter if I get hit?
When I did what the Unseen challenge said on the penguin ship (Final offer) the game was like it didn’t even count. But I learned that you basically only have *ONE* *chance*, no restarts. Also I never knew you had to use the sonic batarang 3 times in the challenge, looks like I’m restarting again.
9:06 If you fail at rank 6 "takedown variation" make sure you really takedown an enemy with the explosive gel. To be sure, you need to put the gel on the opposite side of wall. The wall has to hit the enemy, not the gel directly.
Is it possible to do Rank 8 in the predator room right after you get out of the elevator in the Royal Hotel in New Game +? I'm having extreme difficulty doing that right now.

one thing that I think he didn't told you... you can aim the remote claw and then hold the middle mouse button to target the the exact thug you want to glue together, then wait for the 3th one to bring the tank. On controller I believe is holding B, but yeah here's the tip!. rank 14 was driving me crazy! but I found this out on my own, hope it help ya.

***** Question. I know 100% means completing everything in story mode and nabbing all the medals in the challenge maps, but when I look at my Statistics from the main menu there are two rows (one for Story and one for Story+). Do I have to 100% both modes? Because that would be a load of ass.
seventhirtytwo I found out that you need to complete Story Mode, New Game + and "I Am Night" mode all 100%. Though, the side missions, the upgrades and the Dark Knight system all carry over to your other modes so all you need to do is complete the story and do the Crime Scene missions (not sure about Anarky symbols nor Challenge maps).
To be honest, I always hated The Dark Knight System in Arkham Origins that I had trouble with because it had the Sonar Batarang that needed to be unlocked by completing it and other things too. So I used a Debug menu to max out The Worst Nightmare and I don't have to worry about it. 😁

Man, I'm reading the top comments and people were seriously pissed at this system when the game came out lol. I understand though- its implementation is bizarre. Unless you're making a focused effort to get the predator challenges done as soon as they're available, then you'll quickly run out of opportunities on your current playthrough. That mission involving the explosive wall KO is where this system goes to die for most people, as there are only two maps in the whole story where you can do that (and one is at the very end of the game). The reward is also really poor. It's just a palette swap of the base suit that doesn't really look better than the original. I don't hate it though... what actually kills it for me is that it's glitched. In the story mode it retains the gradual battle damage on the body only, which ends up looking ridiculous with a perpetually clean cape and cowl. According to a dev the suit wasn't supposed to get any battle damage at all and that it would be patched, but that never happened lol An easy fix for the progression issues, I think, would have just been to make the Dark Knight objectives completable though challenge mode. Hell, in Origins the challenge mode is integrated into the main game from the Batcave, so it would have made sense! Weird that it didn't work out that way.
I know right? it's crazy to see how unhappy people were with this game when it came out, then over the years it grew on people and now it's basically a meme that Origins is "underrated"

Its technical jank and obvious reliance on Arkham CIty's foundation easily gave off the impression of it just being "a worse Arkham CIty", which people were especially unhappy with given the pedigree of the previous two games. But yeah, discourse over Arkham Origins has seemed to soften up over the years. It helps that it is now far removed from the circumstances of its launch, of which majorly shaped how the game was perceived at the time. More people have come out to express their appreciation of what the game does well and how it stands out from the other games in the series. A lot of people that were kids and teenagers at the time, and thus played the game with less cynical eyes, are also now grown-up and part of the discussion. Me, I first played the game unpatched on a PS3 and it was an uneven experience to say the least lol. I recently revisited it on PC and enjoyed it much, much more than I remembered.
If the Sonic Batarang isn’t working, go to the Steel Mill or to the Penguins boat. Those are the best places to get Predator Dark Knight Challenges. Also, if they Sonic Batarang doesn’t work in the city, just go to those two areas. It will work there.
I don't know if I merely did something wrong, but I just can't finish the Rank 7 up on GCPD roof. I did it several times and no rank would pop up even as I did not use any takedowns and almost step by step copied what was done in the video. (Thou I play PC and the video seems to be some other platform, perhaps that has something to do with it.) However, I found this link, steamcommunity.com/app/209000/discussions/0/648811126524202130/ and it worked in one try. It will save the predator room inside the Steel Mill for Rank 8 (or possibly higher if rank 8 or higher does work on GCPD roof).
I really like all Batman Arkham Videos, and I do not mean to insult or be rude. I just did not get rank 7 at GCPD roof and don't want other players to waste time fighting to get it. (Perhaps a patch will later make it work or it is merely a PC problem, but anyway...)
I did not, but I used the trick in the link and got around it that way. Since I started to gather the rank early on, I still had options to choose from by rank 7. Thanks for asking.
This is only my presumption, but it may be a PC problem that either will be patched or not. Seeing as the game is already getting buried by newer entries and their interest to fix patches was slow from the start, they will not fix this, as it is not a game stopping glitch.
I got it while solving the Coventry Fire case. The killer is on the back deck of The Final Offer in a combat encounter, but since it's in the edge of a Predator zone, it popped rank 7 for me.
I hate these damn things. Can't tell you how many times I'd do exactly what it said and not get credit for it and it saves right after the encounters so most times you're just fucked -_-

Easily the biggest flaw in Arkham Origins, is that if you aren't actively trying to complete these, you can't go back and get them.

I only got to rank 5 the first time through, rank 9 the second time through. I'm finally at 13 now trying to get the last 2 before the game ends . This order crap is stupid as hell. I have really been disappointed by this game. Other than the story itself and the crime scene thing which I thought was a cool add. Ive pretty much hated this game everything about it
I hope I'm not the only person who thinks that rank system sucks. I mean, why the hell aren't there more predator rooms to do this shit in? In Arkham City you can return to a predator room and there will be thugs inside, but *NOT IN THIS GAME.* *OHH, NO.* See, that would be too easy, that would make the game convenient. But now they want players to get confused and frustrated... and want to stop playing it.

More fun so players aren't micro-managing challenges alongside gameplay? Anything other than being forced to do something when they might not want to just so they can get the completion percentage?

For anybody having trouble with rank 7 go to the industrial district. A little north of the steel mill there's a roof with some enemies without guns. Defeat them without doing any takedowns to get it.

I MUST give yiu my thanks as well, i'm currently redoing Origins, except this time on my PS3 instead of my 360 as I am merely "renting" Origins, Asylum and City to kill some time as I do not intend on keeping those three for my PS3 since I already have them for my 360 after all and as such I really must thank you for your info since I am well aware these days that Origins is a LOT more restrictive than City is and as such one screwed up one-time only per run Pred room can REALLY fuck up the WN list if one intends to try and do all 15 on the normal mode of course so again, MANY thanks for this invaluable tip, know that it is VERY much appreciated, seriously. ^^

For all that struggle in rank 7 go to any roof, especially around Sionis' Mill, find any NPCs hanging around there with clubs and just beat them up. Do not use any takedown. Just beat them up and watch yourself rank up

I just got Worst Nightmare 7 after several unsuccessful tries. Maybe this will work for others.
Go to Penguin's Ship(Final Offer) and find the Sniper in the crow's nest tower. Don't disturb any of the other guys on the ship. Sneak up behind the Sniper and use your batclaw(I think this is key) to pull him towards you. When I did that he lost his gun, but didn't actually leave his position. I then immediately did a cape-stun beatdown and when I knocked him out I got credit for a full predator encounter and Rank 7 even though all the other guards were untouched. Try it a few times because it doesn't always count the one Sniper as a full pred-encounter.
I just noticed that's exactly what the player does in the above video, I just never took notice of the use of the batclaw on the Sniper before.
I just did EXACTLY what you said and I can confirm this works! Just used batclaw to pull of his sniper away and used beatdown and got it! ;D

For the "no detective vison/not being seen" challenge, you can do it during the Firefly mission on the bridge. There's an outdoor corridor with 3 snipers along it, and 3 vantage points. 3 silent takedowns, super easy.

This game came out 5 years ago. For Batman Day this year 2019 I pledged to beat this Worst Nightmare track and compete my Dark Knight challenges. Finally did it today.
If this helps anyone. You can do challenges 8-15 in the I am the Night mode easily before copperhead

If I do I am the night mode or a new game plus will it keep my Dark Knight progress? I only have worst nightmare left to do and I’m golden. If it starts me over from scratch then that’s no Bueno.

You can in fact do challenges 1-15 in a single new game (NOT NG+ or I am the night modes) if you know what you're doing.

After 5 years I finally made it. Thank you so much for all your videos, I couldn't have done it without them. You are without a doubt the best Batman
Rank 14 can easily be done in the GCPD predator room. Immediately after entering the room, grapple to the gargolye on the left and do an inverted takedown on the cop. Swing back to the original gargolye and wait for 3 cops to come check what is going on. Do the same trick down here (i.e. remote claw one cop into another) then quickly attach the nearby propane tank to the remaining officer. If it doesn't reset, automatically restart.
Rank 15 is easily done on the Final Offer's deck in the open world. Do something to get the enemies moving (i.e. remote controlled batarang, smoke bomb, loud takedown on one of the enemies). Once you see enemies next to railings on opposite sides (doesn't even have to be opposite sides, even someone on the bridge will work), use the remote claw on them. Best part is that this is done in the open world. Hence, as long as you manage to reach Rank 14 in story/new-plus modes, this is easy to achieve.
This is the way. But don’t do an inverted takedown wait until he’s near the tank and do a stun and beat down. More guys come over. Easier to do the gas thing.

I had to go through 3 times and then I died on I am the night mode so I quit and traded in the game. I hated this game but that was the cherry on top. I mean everyone who plays thw Batman games always goes through them at least twice so I don't know why they did it that way

Great method, thanks! To people looking for extra help: It may take a couple tries, for me, once one of the guys glitched up upon colliding with the rail and went into rubber band mode (happens a lot in this buggy game) and another attempt a 2nd guy appeared out of no where making this method impossible.
It's also really easy on Hard Times upon entering Blackgate.
You can actually do all of these within a single playthrough (I just completed it on Normal). Your options of where you need to perform them may become more limited, but it saves you the trouble of starting the game again in NG+. Note that the reward you get for completing all the challenges (Dark Knight skin) will already have all the damage you accumulated on your normal suit (slashes, shattered armour etc) but the cowl & cape will be new. So that sucks.
You can actually complete rank 9 and 10 on the same predator encounter in the gcpd building, do all the takedowns and just make sure your not spotted while doing it

You can do Rank 6 in the bank right after meeting joker the first time, BEFORE the Deadshot bank level.

+Van-Hieu Vo Blackgate Prison does, you can do Rank 6 there.
However, it is close towards the end of the game.
For number 3 they don't all have to be Silent Takedowns. You just can't be seen. Inverted Takedowns, Floor Grate Takedowns, and other such immediate takedowns are allowed. Now you can't do something like Drop Attack from a high place and then knock them out (the guy you dropped on technically sees you before finishing him off). Just make sure your takedowns are the instant type and you get into hiding before anyone has a chance to actually see you.
It will gonna be literal "worst nightmare" if you finish the game without doing this stupid challenge. Nice work arkham origins...

Looks like you're shit outta luck. Luckily, I don't think that there is an achievement for 100% completion, so you can start a new save, and do all of them over. It sucks, but if you want the achievement, it might be the only way.

MrE10000g So after some digging, I found out you simply have to die in IATN mode, then it resets that game, even after you've completed it.
It still sucks that I have to even do that; just allow predator rooms to respawn so players don't have to go through crap like this.

Pretty sure Rank 7 is glitched. I did it the exact same way as you did, and got nothing. Did it in a predator room (as in, inside with gun carrying enemies) and still got nothing.

Just go to the rooftop across from the final offer (before they carry guns) and beat the crap out of them. Works every time lol

The sniper glitch is possible.
Make sure that the guy, stand in the rail before he fall. Slowly hit him with strike punches till you push him to stand in the rail.

Hey everyone, want to have all the time in the world to complete the Worst Nightmare tree?
All you have to do is start the I Am The Night Mode and play through the first act of the game to take down predator rooms. THEN...LET YOURSELF DIE. Why? Because the tree is shared between all your games. Then all you have to do is start over and repeat the game until you finish the tree. That way you can take on the tree in easier Predator rooms and not worry about losing so much progress. (assuming you're doing it just for the costume)
Otherwise I suggest you beat the IATN mode first to get the Achievement/Trophy (so it won't be such a waste) and then kill your game on purpose. The idea being that you can have an unlimited number of games to play through so that you can unlock everything you need to.
I agree, tackling the tree in order is a pretty bad decision on the part of Montreal, especially when you can only complete these objectives in game, but this is the only loophole to this system I've figured out so, hope it helps.

Rank 7 is so broken I’m actually laughing so hard. I did it 3 times and it didn’t count it so I was mad. Then one time out of nowhere I did a combat encounter and it said I completed rank 7 for no reason whatsoever. I couldn’t stop laughing after that because I spent 2 hours trying to do it and it didn’t work so I quit. Then it just gave me it. It was hilarious! 😂

Honestly guys, if you find yourself with no predator challenges left on "I am the Knight" mode and you haven't finished these, the best option is to die and restart. Sure, you'll have to do the story all over but "I am the Knight mode" doesn't count towards the game completion and you'll be able to get the Worst Knightmare challenges.
I'm not sure if you are going to read this but I want to thank you a lot for making this video and helping me complete the dark knight challenges I never really managed to complete these when I was younger but I replayed it on Christmas and finished it yesterday. Anyway I wish you the best!

If there is anyone here in 2020 (almost 2021) and wondering the same thing, the Rank 8 can be done by combining Silent takedowns and Inverted takedowns, especially useful in New Game + where there are multiple enemies with protection per room.

You can't. The game was intentionally designed to stop respawning predator encounters so that it forces you to play a New Game+ if you didn't do good planning on your first playthrough for the Dark Knight challenges.
259 it's weird though because sometimes I will get the worst nightmare challenges while doing free roam, even after finishing the game. But there are some challenges that basically force you to do NG+ or I am the Night.

unfortunately if you finish all 3 stories without completing the nightmare challenges I don't think you'll have a chance to do a lot of them. I know some you'll be able to do in free roam but some you have to do them in the story which is a flaw I will agree there.

Only this time, I aimed to cover all of the Worst Nightmare ones first, while doing the others. The others can be done in roaming time, both Shadow Vigilante and Gotham Protector, whilst some, if not all, of the WN ones need to be done inside the game play. I tried the Predator Encounter With No Takedowns one of WN on top of the GCPD and The Final Offer, all foes on beatdowns, TWICE over, and still got nowhere. Then I did it in the Drugs Lab in the Steel Mill.

Tip: you can do both rank 14 and 15 in the GCPD. Do 14 in combat in the room where the cops are beating up hobos. And do 15 in the predator room, (send a sonic batarang to the place with the glass, a guy should go over, and another guy will walk up the stairs. Wait a sec before you do it though.)

I know that it‘s annoying to start new game plus, JUST to be able to complete this but I think that one thing is more annoying than that. The sonic batarang is useless outside of missions. Whenever you want to use it on some random rooftop, it‘ll only cause those visible waves and its sound.
The sonic batarang is already bad enough, since it can‘t knock multiple people in the same area out. Once you knocked someone out with it, you can‘t even throw another one. The fact that it recharges very slowly sucks as well but that doesn‘t really matter for me.
Okay yeah you just have no idea about how useful it is, and even less so about how the description specifies it only works on enemies with heartbeat monitors.
And of course it only knocks out 1 thug per room. Shit would be OP otherwise

@@crangejo I am not, knocking out thug in one hit without risk is truly useful, but I used to spam this thing to complete stage 6 of the worst nightmare, mainly to drag enemies to the vents. I did this stage during predator section after Batman met Joker for the first time.
@@kacperaskawski3461 yeah that's my point, the Shock insta KO is a very useful tool on its own, but even without it the Sonic Batarang is fantastic as it makes any set up you may want to do, possible, as the enemy WILL be there, isolated.

Good news is if you manage to complete everything on your normal playthrough you can just make a copy of that game save and continually start on new game plus. Then you'll never have to do this again

When I did what the Unseen challenge said on the penguin ship (Final offer) the game was like it didn’t even count. But I learned that you basically only have *ONE* *chance*, no restarts. Also I never knew you had to use the sonic batarang 3 times in the challenge, looks like I’m restarting again.

9:06 If you fail at rank 6 "takedown variation" make sure you really takedown an enemy with the explosive gel. To be sure, you need to put the gel on the opposite side of wall. The wall has to hit the enemy, not the gel directly.
Is it possible to do Rank 8 in the predator room right after you get out of the elevator in the Royal Hotel in New Game +? I'm having extreme difficulty doing that right now.

Lol yeah I did that about two months ago. It just takes a LOT of patience. I literally just pulled everybody over the edge using my Batclaw.
one thing that I think he didn't told you... you can aim the remote claw and then hold the middle mouse button to target the the exact thug you want to glue together, then wait for the 3th one to bring the tank. On controller I believe is holding B, but yeah here's the tip!. rank 14 was driving me crazy! but I found this out on my own, hope it help ya.

***** Question. I know 100% means completing everything in story mode and nabbing all the medals in the challenge maps, but when I look at my Statistics from the main menu there are two rows (one for Story and one for Story+). Do I have to 100% both modes?

seventhirtytwo I found out that you need to complete Story Mode, New Game + and "I Am Night" mode all 100%. Though, the side missions, the upgrades and the Dark Knight system all carry over to your other modes so all you need to do is complete the story and do the Crime Scene missions (not sure about Anarky symbols nor Challenge maps).
Anarky symbols and the other hidden collectible are carried over.

I was clad to finish every challenge with the exception of 2 worst nightmare challenges. Clad these videos exist.
To be honest, I always hated The Dark Knight System in Arkham Origins that I had trouble with because it had the Sonar Batarang that needed to be unlocked by completing it and other things too. So I used a Debug menu to max out The Worst Nightmare and I don't have to worry about it. 😁

Man, I'm reading the top comments and people were seriously pissed at this system when the game came out lol. I understand though- its implementation is bizarre. Unless you're making a focused effort to get the predator challenges done as soon as they're available, then you'll quickly run out of opportunities on your current playthrough. That mission involving the explosive wall KO is where this system goes to die for most people, as there are only two maps in the whole story where you can do that (and one is at the very end of the game).
The reward is also really poor. It's just a palette swap of the base suit that doesn't really look better than the original. I don't hate it though... what actually kills it for me is that it's glitched. In the story mode it retains the gradual battle damage on the body only, which ends up looking ridiculous with a perpetually clean cape and cowl. According to a dev the suit wasn't supposed to get any battle damage at all and that it would be patched, but that never happened lol
An easy fix for the progression issues, I think, would have just been to make the Dark Knight objectives completable though challenge mode. Hell, in Origins the challenge mode is integrated into the main game from the Batcave, so it would have made sense! Weird that it didn't work out that way.
I know right? it's crazy to see how unhappy people were with this game when it came out, then over the years it grew on people and now it's basically a meme that Origins is "underrated"
@@arnaeus7448 Yeah, the game got a lot of crap at launch. Its technical jank and obvious reliance on Arkham CIty's foundation easily gave off the impression of it just being "a worse Arkham CIty", which people were especially unhappy with given the pedigree of the previous two games.
But yeah, discourse over Arkham Origins has seemed to soften up over the years. It helps that it is now far removed from the circumstances of its launch, of which majorly shaped how the game was perceived at the time. More people have come out to express their appreciation of what the game does well and how it stands out from the other games in the series. A lot of people that were kids and teenagers at the time, and thus played the game with less cynical eyes, are also now grown-up and part of the discussion.
Me, I first played the game unpatched on a PS3 and it was an uneven experience to say the least lol. I recently revisited it on PC and enjoyed it much, much more than I remembered.

If the Sonic Batarang isn’t working, go to the Steel Mill or to the Penguins boat. Those are the best places to get Predator Dark Knight Challenges. Also, if they Sonic Batarang doesn’t work in the city, just go to those two areas. It will work there.

I don't know if I merely did something wrong, but I just can't finish the Rank 7 up on GCPD roof. I did it several times and no rank would pop up even as I did not use any takedowns and almost step by step copied what was done in the video. (Thou I play PC and the video seems to be some other platform, perhaps that has something to do with it.)
However, I found this link, steamcommunity.com/app/209000/discussions/0/648811126524202130/ and it worked in one try. It will save the predator room inside the Steel Mill for Rank 8 (or possibly higher if rank 8 or higher does work on GCPD roof).
I really like all Batman Arkham Videos, and I do not mean to insult or be rude. I just did not get rank 7 at GCPD roof and don't want other players to waste time fighting to get it. (Perhaps a patch will later make it work or it is merely a PC problem, but anyway...)
I did not, but I used the trick in the link and got around it that way. Since I started to gather the rank early on, I still had options to choose from by rank 7. Thanks for asking.
This is only my presumption, but it may be a PC problem that either will be patched or not. Seeing as the game is already getting buried by newer entries and their interest to fix patches was slow from the start, they will not fix this, as it is not a game stopping glitch.
I got it while solving the Coventry Fire case. The killer is on the back deck of The Final Offer in a combat encounter, but since it's in the edge of a Predator zone, it popped rank 7 for me.

Yeah I know during the time when I said this I was doing it on the wooden walls.
***** I figured out the only way to knock enemies out with it is using brick walls, because the wooden plank walls won't work.
+Mike Z theres no wooden walls, your target must be on the opposite side of where you sprayed it to knock them out.
I used up all 3 explosive ammo gels and it worked perfectly. In other words, use all 3 for any destructible wall.
They really took the fun out of this game with these challenges.
I hate these damn things. Can't tell you how many times I'd do exactly what it said and not get credit for it and it saves right after the encounters so most times you're just fucked -_-
Yea it won't give me rank 7, what the fuck man. I only use the cape stun and beatdown. Nothing.
