In both games in Arkham City, and Arkham Knight minus Asylum you can collect Riddler trophies during the main story, before going to Joker party, and fight Titan henchmen, Titan Joker, or you can collect trophies after the main story.
It actually is possible to apprehend Riddler before Completing Protocol 10, thanks to the extra 40 Catwoman challenges that do actually count to the normal challenge total. Without her though, you can't deal with Riddler until after completing the main campaign.
No, it’s impossible to complete Riddler before Protocol 10. I’ve done it before where I went over 400 during Protocol 10 and didn’t get the call from Oracle until immediately after the Credits. It’s impossible to have 400 before Protocol 10 because Clown Puncher had 372 at that point, and about 20 out of 40 are unreachable due to the Museum, Steel Mill, and Subway are all locked during Episode 2 (The only time you can get Catwoman collectibles before the deadline) along with a couple random trophies like the ones that require Bane and Nora’s side quests completed.
@@tobyjack1238 No it's not impossible, I've done it myself dozens of times lmao. You're right, the call doesn't trigger during P10 the way it normally would, however you can still get the call during Protocol 10 by entering and exiting a random building. (Not sure why It only triggers after entering and exiting certain buildings, might be unintentional.) Also, Catwoman can collect trophies during Episode 3, allowing her to get the trophies in the Muesum and Subway. (And of course the player can just complete Bane and Nora's side mission before starting Episode 3. Only the Steel Mill is completely inaccessible until post game.
Woah, what?! Entering a random building triggers it? Alright you really taught me something I didn’t know about my favorite game. I’ll definitely try it next time.
It's funny, because Asylum specifically implies this is the canon outcome. Asylum does not have a canon post-game. The fireworks are going off continuously if you come back after beating the game and all the NPC's either mention the fireworks or Ivy retreating, Batman wrapped everything up before dealing with Joker. I believe the earliest you can get everything is right after clearing out the Pump Stations and right before fighting Ivy. So presumably in canon Batman called the cops on his way to Ivy and Riddler's last call was right after beating her after picking up the last trophy, just before going to Joker's Party
(Knight is the only game with a post-game that is FULLY canon, we know Batman did everything and a few things after City of Fear albeit the exact order details vary a bit. City and Origins are vague, I think you can do everything pre-Final Boss, but it's also open to some things being cleaned up after, thug dialogue comments on Jokers death in City after all. If you want my headcanon Batman left Arkham City like, an hour or two after finishing up the main story, probably rescued Nora and captured Zsasz as there wasn't exactly time for that earlier, probably finished with Riddler too. And I think Origin's postgame may well be the next night, evening of the 25th/Morning of the 26th.)
The true way to defeat the Riddler is to ignore his goofy self. Made me smile often in Knight, thinking of him in his robot suit waiting under the floor for me to come find him. What a tool.
The Krank ko toy factory is a refference to an episode of The Batman 2004, the villain of the episode was an original villain named the toymaker, his real name was Krank, and the name of his company was called "Krank-co"
I've actually done this challenge before. During my last couple playthroughs. Seeing you take it up a notch though by using some tricks you learned from other challenge playthroughs taught me a thing or two. It's a pretty rewarding feeling to have so much done so early on. The experience points to unlock so many upgrades so early in the game is also pretty cool because you feel pretty overpowered right off the bat. Also, as I'm sure you already deduced and just didn't state in the video, the only reason it took so long for that third riddler room to open up despite you clearly having enough trophies is because you need the line launcher for the reminding rooms. Like I said you probably already knew that, you're a smart guy, but wanted to throw it out there regardless
I love how that's exactly how I played the games the first time. Doing the side quests that I can do first and then actually playing the IMMINENT THREAT of Protocol 10
It will never cease to amaze me how creative you and the other Arkham UA-camrs are. This game series ended almost 10 years ago and you guys are still coming up with new and exciting ways to Play these games. It's amazing and inspiring.
This is actually how I tend to play games. I go around doing as much side content as possible just to make sure none of it becomes inaccessible later. Especially on repeat playthroughs where I'm either aware of it or have a guide open. I had no idea this was a challenge type 😆 Great video, I'd love to see more like it!
Catwoman:"I would usually say "fashionably late as usual" but where have you been!? I've been dangling over this vat for 2 hours!" Batman carrying an armful of riddler trophies:"Don't ask."
I genuinely laughed so hard when you said “the very first objective the game gives us is to go save Catwoman from Two face in the courthouse. Buttttt…. We can’t do that… because riddler has so generously left… 130 COLLECTABLES FOR US TO GET.” 😂😂
Trying this myself, I accidentally got 131 before the courthouse. No clue where the extra one was, but I'll take it! Edit: I think it was behind the church.

Just played and finished Arkham City for the first time, and I'm glad there is someone out there who is doing these Riddler trophies/challenges, because I sure ain't! Good video btw
Well I used this video as a guide to collect all the trophies, I paused and rewound over and over and collected every trophy at the same time you did. I noticed I didn't have the subway trophy either and I thought I must have missed it when you got it. Then I let the video finish to the rug pull that it's not possible to get. Bravo, great video and I got to revisit Arkham City again. Thank you
Until these days I'm still trying to understand who had the "brilliant" idea of putting more than 200 trophies for us to collect on EVERY Batman Arkham game... Why would Rocksteady choose such an absurd number? I can understand Open World games like GTA, that gives you between 50 and 100 collectibles to go after, but 240 collectibles?! Are you kidding me? I only got all Riddler's trophies on Arkham Knight, since it's my favorite Arkham game, but I'm not doing it again anytime soon and I'm *certainly* not doing it on the other Arkham games.
Thank you so much dude. I forgot to change it to normal difficulty to try new game+. The fact that you managed to break down and detail what to do will a huge help when i replay it.

The goated Arkham UA-camr back at it again with another video. Personally, I've platinumed B:AA & B:AC twice, and the first time I got around to collecting trophies, around Arkham City, it was fun! I took my time and enjoyed myself for what it was. The second time around, i was exactly like this. Trying to collect every Riddler trophy as soon as it was available. (Not as dedicated as you, though). Watching this video was a blast, and has me thankful that there are people other than myself, that are completely addicted to this goated game series. Although the fact Rocksteady locked the final trophy behind game completion is something I didn't know. It really does show that they poured their hearts into this game, thinking of everything going in the Riddler trophies. Keep releasing more Arkham content brother, you make my day! Much Love! ❤ Ps. Was very glad to also hear more rare voice lines I have never heard before!
Batman getting so tired of Riddler’s crap that he goes for him first is funny to me, but I like going for Riddler before the raid segment in Arkham knight for the extra dialogues during it, and to see another villain locked up
This man literally put himself though torture and went out of his way to explain every last collectable in order just for our own entertainment. Nothing but RESPECT for ClownPuncher. :)
Once when I was playing arkham knight, I did this chalenge, but not only for riddler, I did every side quest the earlier they were unlocked, that was when I realized there is a lot of dialogue you can only hear before meeting Gordon, and a lot of bleake island is still locked
I tried it myself when I saw your video recommended to me, didn't watch it, I jumped straight into trying it myself . I got as far as protocol 10 but then I forgot to collect the ones only accessible with the Tyger codes 😢😅. 2 months later ,I finally watched your video . Great video ,really enjoyed it 👍👍👍.
Riddle diddle diddle! It's time for a riddle! What man would collect green question marks before I make myself known rather than save a cat? A bat-man?
You can also collect the trophy at 5:56 without the line launcher or boost gadgets by punching your way between each pressure plate. The animation for Batman attacking doesn't register as him touching the ground, for some reason, so you can just button mash your way between each plate to get the trophy. Found that one out after multiple hours of trying and failing to glide onto them right.
I usually play the Arkham games in this way that I try to complete all sidequests, including the riddler trophies, before I complete the main story. I have not done it so hardcore as you to collect before saving catwoman or go back to each location to gather riddler trophies when I unlock a new gadget. Otherwise I try to be in phase with all riddler trophies depending on what gadgets I have. Really cool video!!
Honestly dude i didn't even know like 90% of this stuff happened or existed so you forgetting a few things while remembering everything else is super impressive
Great video Clownpuncher! 132 is possible before saving Catwoman as the smokestack trophy and the one behind the church can be cheesed with precise gliding, grapnel canceling and dive bombing Edit: 133 is possible! Underneath the casino in Amusement, instead of needing the line launcher, punch your way off the platform and the bars won’t raise. Punch through the weak walls to collect your trophy! Edit #2: 134 is possible. Countering three projectiles is possible by first fighting near the Jezebel Jet Plaza entrance, where there are two crates that can be thrown (warning, there are armed henchman who WILL join the fight!!!), and a crate in the area where the TITAN container usually is in the Industrial District. If you’re still one short, talk to Bane and the TITAN container will spawn there, plus three henchmen back in the area to guard it.
at the same time some of these are like hacks though not intended by the developers so i would say his final one is good. 132 is logically possibly as I can recall, doing the three projectiles thing
39:32 This one Is possible to get with just gliding. I got it by stepping on the green pad, grappling up to a light post and gliding back through. If that doesn't work, try the line-cut method and hope you still get enough altitude to glide through.
I like to imagine Catwoman just dangling above the pool of acid for 2 hours while Batman is running around Arkham City looking for green glowing trophies
Now, imagine doing everything in this challenge and beating up every single thug the moment you are able to at the same time. That is pretty much what I do every time I boot up Arkham City. Did you know that, during the main campaign, when you beat up a thug; they won't respawn until you progress in the story. But only certain thugs, so if you beat up all of the thugs in the bowlery at the start of the game, for example, they won't respawn until you finish the steel mill.
I hope you do a video like this for Asylum, Origins, and Knight! Heck, with Asylum, Batman beating Riddler before defeating Joker is bassically what's cannon.
To put it simply for those from the pokemon side of youtube this is the professor oak challenge but anyone who knows what that is likely realized that right away making this comment pointless
I kinda wish there were fake crime scenes that riddler creates to test Batman’s detective skills and they weren’t based on side quests they are there to unlock riddler trophies.
The crazy thing is that this probably isn't too far off of the canon way that Batman would've done it. He does everything in City in one night, so he actually would be casually getting all of these trophies and riddles while making his way through the main story
Minus getting them during protocol 10 this is literally how I play the game lmaooo I find that it makes the post story gameplay just a little boring though cuz in my younger days id have hundreds of trophys to collect after beating the campaign But I literally just remember them all now Im cursed as much as Batman is in a way
I can't even imagine how long it took you to put the video together. Definitely longer than it took me to watch it. Thank you for your efforts! Your videos always make my days a little brighter. :D
So the riddler trophy under the bridge where the scarecrow mask is right? Normally you need ice grenades, but you can actually glide up under the bridge and there's a part of it on the side leading to jokers area that batman can grab onto. It is super janky but you can land there (will automaticallybe crouched), and then ease your way out till you are standing and you will be close enough to get at the very start of the game.
Call me weird but i actually enjoy riddler in Arkham city lol. Knights puzzles are really tedious and overuse the Batmobile so i was super frustrated by the end of the puzzles but in city the puzzles are simple brain teasers.

@@herbiestarford Collectibles spam is one of the most hated tropes ever in videogames, you mix that with Riddler's personality and that's probably why people hate him.
My bro is fuckin everywhere
"The Riddler is the last Villian you beat when going for hundred percent"
Rocksteady: Yep We MADE it that way!
Now we can definitively say that Arkham City is the best Arkham game. All of the others allow you to beat Riddler before completing the main campaign.
In both games in Arkham City, and Arkham Knight minus Asylum you can collect Riddler trophies during the main story, before going to Joker party, and fight Titan henchmen, Titan Joker, or you can collect trophies after the main story.
"Catwoman is captured by Two-Face? There's not a moment to lose! I must hurry!" -Batman, excited about having free time for once to collect trophies
You may have been stalling saving Catwoman from two face to get these trophies, but trust me, by Arkham Knight, Catwoman will thank you later!
It actually is possible to apprehend Riddler before Completing Protocol 10, thanks to the extra 40 Catwoman challenges that do actually count to the normal challenge total.
Without her though, you can't deal with Riddler until after completing the main campaign.
Yes
(Not sure why It only triggers after entering and exiting certain buildings, might be unintentional.)
Also, Catwoman can collect trophies during Episode 3, allowing her to get the trophies in the Muesum and Subway.
You know this is gonna be good when you're only saving Catwoman 20 minutes into the video
I knew what was coming at the end. I experienced that first hand on my last playthrough. I know your pain ClownPuncher, and I feel sorry for you.
This is a very effective strategy on the internet as well!
The Krank ko toy factory is a refference to an episode of The Batman 2004, the villain of the episode was an original villain named the toymaker, his real name was Krank, and the name of his company was called "Krank-co"
The Toymaker is also the son (or maybe father, I don't remember) of The Dollmaker, the villain voiced by Weird Al in the Batman VS Robin movie
Poor cat women. You gotta wonder how long she must've been dangling above a vat of acid
You know you’ve played too much Arkham City when you recognise every single trophy and physical challenge 😅
"Master Wayne, Hugo has launched protocol 10! Hundreds are dead you have to save the city!"
"Alfred I haven't gotten all riddler trophies yet."
It’s amazing how Batman in each game spent hours traveling all over the city in one night to send riddler to jail.
ClownPuncher collected Riddler trophies for our sins 🙏
I love how that's exactly how I played the games the first time. Doing the side quests that I can do first and then actually playing the IMMINENT THREAT of Protocol 10
*me watching an hour long video of batman collecting trophies* *
"mhm... thats how he would do it"
Developers: QUICK! The game is too short. Any ideas?
The Riddler: Guys, hear me out.
I had no idea this was a challenge type 😆
Great video, I'd love to see more like it!
Catwoman:"I would usually say "fashionably late as usual" but where have you been!? I've been dangling over this vat for 2 hours!"
Batman carrying an armful of riddler trophies:"Don't ask."
Like Dr. Strange dangling over the grand canyon for that same amount of time.
Meanwhile...
Loki: "...I HAVE BEEN FALLING...FOR THIRTY MINUTES!"
Riddler diserves a 400 hit combo for this one
I genuinely laughed so hard when you said “the very first objective the game gives us is to go save Catwoman from Two face in the courthouse. Buttttt…. We can’t do that… because riddler has so generously left… 130 COLLECTABLES FOR US TO GET.” 😂😂
Your challenges are literally insane...and I love it
Trying this myself, I accidentally got 131 before the courthouse. No clue where the extra one was, but I'll take it!
Edit: I think it was behind the church.
Batman: Arkham City but Aaron Cash owes Batman $20
I love that for like every unique perspective trophy the majority of the time is you showing a clip to show how finnicky it is to get
Batman when he found the guy who put the trophies around the city to torture him: STAR PLATINUM ZA WARUDO (punches a 10000000000 combo and continues time and punches again)
Thank you
You're crazy man, an almost hour long vid of doing all the riddler stuff first? You're the goat
I've always enjoyed playing in this fashion, haha. All sidequests before story. Cool video
I thought the Riddler challenges in Arkham Asylum were bad. Arkham City proved me wrong.
@@HakoTaco1 Fact!
At least riddler trophies have you actually doing something. Prototype has 250 orbs to collect and they are just....out there. Very boring.
@GamerGuy249 Still, I hate Riddler's trophies. As a matter of fact, I hate any collectibles that exceed the number of 100.
@grimreaper6060 I completely agree
Thank you so much dude. I forgot to change it to normal difficulty to try new game+. The fact that you managed to break down and detail what to do will a huge help when i replay it.
Reminds me of Pokémon’s Professor Oak Challenge where you register as many Pokémon as possible to your dex before attempting each gym.
If you ever want to do a professor oak challenge that's also miserable, do the challenge in one of the gamecube games (I dont remember which one)
@GamerGuy249 It's probably Pokémon Channel. The other Gamecube games i can think of are Colosseum/XD, Jirachi Bonus Disk, Snap, and Box (though the 2nd and 4th shouldn't be counted as games).
@@Kraiglyndor I didn't even think of channel. I was thinking either colloseum or XD (I don't remember which) since you can get the gen 2 starters by doing all 100 floors of the battle tower in one sitting 3 times.
As soon as you mentioned the line launcher at 4:20, I realized that I did the not comprehend that was an option for the trophy at 5:58. I spent *FOREVER* trying to get that one the way you did for this challenge
Much Love! ❤
Ps.
A bat-man?
The ultimate way to show riddler who the boss is💪💪💪
You can also collect the trophy at 5:56 without the line launcher or boost gadgets by punching your way between each pressure plate. The animation for Batman attacking doesn't register as him touching the ground, for some reason, so you can just button mash your way between each plate to get the trophy. Found that one out after multiple hours of trying and failing to glide onto them right.
Bane sees Batman bust in, do a quick look around, then grab a Riddler trophy and leave...
This is insanity! I love it! this is why your one of my favorite Arkham UA-camrs man
Funny thing is, this is EXACTLY how the Riddler would’ve wanted you to play this game 😂
This required so many Batman Arkham video Riddler trophy
Love your channel and scripts.
Batman: Oracle I need info on Pen-- IS THAT FUCKING RIDDLER TROPHY FUUUUUCK
Honestly dude i didn't even know like 90% of this stuff happened or existed so you forgetting a few things while remembering everything else is super impressive
Great video Clownpuncher! 132 is possible before saving Catwoman as the smokestack trophy and the one behind the church can be cheesed with precise gliding, grapnel canceling and dive bombing
Edit: 133 is possible!
I have no idea that I wanted a video like this and that it would be so satisfying to watch.
39:32 This one Is possible to get with just gliding. I got it by stepping on the green pad, grappling up to a light post and gliding back through. If that doesn't work, try the line-cut method and hope you still get enough altitude to glide through.
And the fact that you'll probably do this for all the arkham games... I'm subbed for a reason
Damn that sucks for enigma
I like to imagine Catwoman just dangling above the pool of acid for 2 hours while Batman is running around Arkham City looking for green glowing trophies
Now, imagine doing everything in this challenge and beating up every single thug the moment you are able to at the same time. That is pretty much what I do every time I boot up Arkham City. Did you know that, during the main campaign, when you beat up a thug; they won't respawn until you progress in the story. But only certain thugs, so if you beat up all of the thugs in the bowlery at the start of the game, for example, they won't respawn until you finish the steel mill.
never completed the riddler parts of any arkham game, I am having that experience vicariously through this video
I hope you do a video like this for Asylum, Origins, and Knight! Heck, with Asylum, Batman beating Riddler before defeating Joker is bassically what's cannon.
Meanwhile in Arkham Asylum, I watched Joker's Fireworks going off while hearing the Police storm Nygma's hideout
To put it simply for those from the pokemon side of youtube this is the professor oak challenge but anyone who knows what that is likely realized that right away making this comment pointless
You can grab the 45:35 throphy by just crouching and using quickfire batclaw, I always do that just to not come back all the way back there lol
I kinda wish there were fake crime scenes that riddler creates to test Batman’s detective skills and they weren’t based on side quests they are there to unlock riddler trophies.
A good chance to beat Arkham Origins to creative uses with detective mode.
That description tells me this is going to be a fantasic video
The crazy thing is that this probably isn't too far off of the canon way that Batman would've done it. He does everything in City in one night, so he actually would be casually getting all of these trophies and riddles while making his way through the main story
An hour long video on humiliating The Riddler from Arkham City? Yes, please!
Minus getting them during protocol 10 this is literally how I play the game lmaooo
I find that it makes the post story gameplay just a little boring though cuz in my younger days id have hundreds of trophys to collect after beating the campaign
But I literally just remember them all now
Im cursed as much as Batman is in a way
You earned your self a sub my guy the we’re supposed to save cat women but riddler left us 130!!! Collectibles to find was the best you have no idea
You can get all the trophies in knight before the final mission I did it in my most recent play though because I wanted to see what joker says
1:52 thank you for your hard work this is hilarious
Joker: alright, any moment now Batman is Gonna save catwoman and then I can shoot her so Batman can come get me. Any moment now. Where is Batman? R
joker: looks at watch an hour later. seriously where's the bat?
I can't even imagine how long it took you to put the video together. Definitely longer than it took me to watch it. Thank you for your efforts! Your videos always make my days a little brighter. :D
So the riddler trophy under the bridge where the scarecrow mask is right? Normally you need ice grenades, but you can actually glide up under the bridge and there's a part of it on the side leading to jokers area that batman can grab onto. It is super janky but you can land there (will automaticallybe crouched), and then ease your way out till you are standing and you will be close enough to get at the very start of the game.
Eddie must be happy you are giving him this much attention
Call me weird but i actually enjoy riddler in Arkham city lol. Knights puzzles are really tedious and overuse the Batmobile so i was super frustrated by the end of the puzzles but in city the puzzles are simple brain teasers.
Also the puzzle rooms in city are so much more fun than knights.

batman would lose against riddler if presented: "Riddle me this batman, gay son or thot daughter?"
He’d probably choose gay son
They’re both equally bad
I would chose thot daughter
@@Dctctx you can raise a gay son to be a good person. You’re fucked with a thot daughter
I think he would just beat the shit out of him instead
fun fact:the riddler trophy at 5:52 doesn't require you to actually glide over the fence you can actually use a line launcher tight rope and jump over the fence, although if you are doing a no damage run this won't work since it deals damage
