You couldn't be more wrong. Primarily an air superiority fighter, the F-22 outpaces the F-35 in all key performance parameters such as speed, rate of climb, maneuverability, range and service ceiling. Its superior thrust-to-weight ratio, combined with thrust vectoring capabilities also gives it a decisive edge in air-to-air combat scenarios.
The F-22 is an air superiority fighter, the F-35 is not. The F-22 has 2 engines and you can get home with one. The F-35 is a single engine and if it goes out then you are ejecting and swimming or walking home or headed to a POW camp.
The F-22 has a max speed of MACH 2.25 while the F-35 has a snail's pace max speed of MACH 1.6
The F-22 has a longer range than the F-35.
It's classified but the F-22 has a faster climb rate and higher ceiling than the F-35.
The F-22 has such extremely high tech that Congress has forbidden its sale to our allies meanwhile anyone can buy the F-35. The only thing redeeming about the F-35 is that they are cheap.
