But hear me out- Energon OP needs the update not because he’s a good design, but because I think this design team could salvage him by tweaking the proportions just enough to make him look more traditional in robot mode and cab mode. Throw in a more substantial trailer that can carry more than just the drones, and we’d have a Commander that utterly destroys its basis. *Animated Megatron* “BuT lUgNuT!” Oh, come on. Lugnut would work as a Leader if they used the budget right. Besides, after Armada Megs and OP, I think it’s time we make the Decepticon leader the certified big boy this go around. Make him big, give him his swords, and maybe even add Starscream’s severed head or a Titan Master version of the Headmaster. *Cyberverse Astrotrain* Because him BIG. Could easily be retooled into Spacewarp if Hasbro wants a second use out of the big lug. *IDW Scorponok* For those of us who don’t have the space for the Earthrise lad and also want a bit of stylization. *Overlord* Go full G1 toy with him (like Rodimus but not crap). Powermaster partners, base mode, little drone dude… everything he had there, he’ll have here. *Helex* Because him also BIG. Plus, he has retool potential as Grandus if Hasbro ever wants to redo the Battlestars gang. *Dai Atlas* Because he deserves better than being held together by plastic noodles (TR Overlord/Sky Shadow was nice; Legends Dai Atlas was no). Only release if Sonic Bomber and Roadfire are also available at the same time he is.
I personally think Animated Megatron and Dai Atlas could be leaders and I would honestly just make Helex a retool of Crumplezone given his robot mode shaping
The best part about if they do a Big Convoy, its an easy excuse for them to reuse the mold as a Beast Wars Ultra Magnus or Ultra Mammoth as like a Gen Selects or something.

The funny thing is, I was actually introduced to the Quetzalcoatlus thanks to the Kamen Rider Revice toy line featuring a Faiz Accel vistamp based on that animal.
And less likely to break due to clear plastic (seriously, I can't be the only one to have had Sea Clamp's pegs break off in Cicadacon's back) or GPS (both Silverbolt and Maximal Skywarp suffer from it and they're the glue that holds Magnaboss together) respectively.
What i wanna see is a retool of transmetal dragon megatron into beast machines megatron where the wings could form a coak, they could even retool the tail to look like the bundle of wires that kept him afloat. Also they could retool the head to give him that hannibal-esque mask
I’m surprised that Hasbro managed to fit a toy like this with as many play features as it does, while also adding some of their own, at the commander class price point. I’m willing to spend $90 on this guy.
@AmericaChavez710 Oof. I actually had to wait for commander class motor master to go on sale on Amazon. Eventually, I managed to get him for the standard $90 price, or I think it was even $20 cheaper than that. So, about $70-ish
@AmericaChavez710you can try getting him from Hasbro Pulse, they don't collect taxes so you won't have to pay taxes for him. Though the shipping might still make his price higher.
Those dinosaur modes are so much better than the old ones. What sticks out for me is how few gaps the beast modes have, especially on the Landsaur. The bot mode looks really good too with added stability over the original. I'm beyond hyped for this guy.
With the modern engineering, I bet they could give us a Big Convoy with good articulation, and a semi-movable beast mode. It's still going to be kibbly, for sure, since they'd probably retain his general silhouette.
I used to get confused with giganotosaurus, pronouncing it the same way as TJ did in the video, as "Giganto-Saurus" because if I'm not mistaken, it is the largest meat eating theropod we've ever discovered, reaffirming my incorrect pronounciation. However it's pronounced "Giga-nauto-saurus."
@@brettwood1351 One of the things making a true size comparison difficult is that we have far fewer fossils of Giganotosaurus than T-Rex, and the ones we do have are not very complete. That means that there's a lot more guesswork into its actual size than with T-Rex.
Giganotosaurus is a large charcharodontosaurid dinosaur that was initially toted as a predator larger than the Tyrannosaurus, but was recently revealed to be not much larger. It lived alongside and was dependent on large sauropod dinosaurs (long-necked plant eating dinosaurs) to survive. Quetzalcoatlus is a large azdarchid pterosaur that was one of the largest flying animals to have ever lived. That’s not to say that I’m opposed to Commander class though, with poseable mouthparts and antennae, and the sheer size I would pay commander class for him and the eventual Shockaract!
@@BugBoss1205 The thing is how the treads worked in the original toy. The design used the crab legs as the track, and the rubber treads were stored in the crab claws. I'm not sure where you'd be able to put solid fake treads on the design, while fitting in the legs and robot parts. Heck the original toy was a very kibbly boy, with the actual robot having a small body with huge crap parts hanging off of it.

Big Convoy makes the most sense, but I see something else that kind of makes as much sense for different reasons. What is that tusk actually belongs to the elephant component of Mangnboss? Yes, Big makes more sense to be opposite Magmatron because they are from the same source material, but the gimmick and design of Magnaboss makes him a good counterpart to Magmatron too. Three animals combining into one large robot. It would make their gimmick match better and would probably make them closer in size and complexity (helping to justify them as the same price point.) Like I said, it likely is Big Convoy, but I would love it if it were actually Magnaboss.
EVERY Transformer should come with effects pieces. I mean, they've been at constant war for millions of years. I should be able to make them look like they're firing their blasters or getting hit by lasers or whatever
I cannot wait for this guy! It looks so great! Back is a little too much junk, but it's not bringing down the figure, so I'll live I do wish they tooled it so you could change the head so the wings sat on his upper back, rather than behind the head. I know it's show accurate, but that's the one part of the design I always disliked, and having the option to change that would've been nice.
While I'm happy for everyone excited for this toy, I'm really dissapointed that this our commander class. Not only is it a character I just don't care about at all, I was really hoping they'd continue with giving us a combiner team each year since collecting all the Stunticons as they released to slowy form Menasor. Also because I really fucking want a new Bruticus.
I was sad we didn’t get any Studio Series reveals today, but I can wait a day for the panel on Saturday. It just was a bummer after Bmac had alluded to this being where we would see SS. Oh well though, I just am ready to see those figures 😂
with them making an armada title wave. i have no doubt that theyre going to make it compatible with armada megatron. which makes me REALLY hope the rumors for armada jet fire and overload to come round. PLEASE GIVE ME MAGNA JET OPTIMUS
if HASBRO is pulling obscure stuff out like this, the should DEFINETLY do a new Repaint of the LEGACY Transmetal II Megatron as CRYOTEK. I would gladly spend sixty to ninety dollars on a blue dragon boi :D
Also three fingers, a narrower build (So the Rex may still have beaten it in terms of mass, being much wider), had more giant Titanosaurs, and probably killed with a different method.
Personally, I like to call him Neo Primal just to reference the name of the series he came from. And I'm surprised they didn't do Galvatron first because Galvatron is Lio Convoy's enemy from Beast Wars II. Magmatron should have later so him and Big Convoy as the leaders from Neo could both be on toy shelves at the same time. It just feels a little weird that they're going out of order. I don't plan on getting Magmatron. I wish they had worked in individual robot modes for Landsaur, Seasaur, and Airsaur. It's the main reason why I never bought the original and it's all I really wanted for the update. I know it's not technically accurate as they never had individual robot modes before but neither did Battletrap and I loved that modern take when they gave his vehicle modes individual robot modes. I would get a Galvatron because I love that design. I'll get a Big Convoy/Neo Primal or whatever they end up renaming him to.
Elasmosaurus is basically a water version of a sauropod that eats meat the quetzoquatol or however its spelled is the size of a modern day giraffe and is terrifying looking and the giganotasaurus pronounced jig a note a sore us is a larger version of the tyrannosaurus type of therapod
Meh. I saw the original in the store and thought it looked realy stupid, and I still think he looks really stupid. You could pay me to take one, but it'd have to be at least USD $25. edit: No, wait, he's a commander class. $25 if I can throw it loose in a storage bin, $40 if you want me to find space for that huge-ass box indefinitely.
Although Hasbro's probably gonna rename Big Convoy to Mammoth Prime, I really hope they just call him Big Prime, that would be hysterical.

The sea dino is a plesiosaurus, If I'm correct.
You are making the rounds on Facebook groups TJ..lol like the group "Beast wars fans forever"
I’m gonna be in debt when this thing is available to purchase, but it’s worth it anyways
They confirmed that ER seeker armada thrust was just a gag and isn’t happening
I cannot wait for this guy! It looks so great! Back is a little too much junk, but it's not bringing down the figure, so I'll live
I do wish they tooled it so you could change the head so the wings sat on his upper back, rather than behind the head. I know it's show accurate, but that's the one part of the design I always disliked, and having the option to change that would've been nice.
its like beast wars version of overlord
It is a really impressive and good looking figure, but I've never seen Beast Wars Neo and I can't afford $90.
meanwhile we need more modern takes on Car Robots/RID2001.
If hasbro makes a new Big Convoy figure, I hope they just call him Big Prime
While I'm happy for everyone excited for this toy, I'm really dissapointed that this our commander class. Not only is it a character I just don't care about at all, I was really hoping they'd continue with giving us a combiner team each year since collecting all the Stunticons as they released to slowy form Menasor. Also because I really fucking want a new Bruticus.
Magmatron will be commander class and tidal wave titan class
I am praying over your sinus infection TJ🙏🏻.
I really want a re-release of spittor
They Give Us a Tease For Leader Class Beast Wars Neo/Beast Wars Neo Universe Big Convoy.
And Same Way Of Beast Wars II Galvatron as Leader Class Size.
I’m buying it
LORG TRIPLE DINO
I want transformers prime Megatron about as much as you want beast wars II Galvatron.
And you said that Magmatron would never get a new toy.
Magmatron means there's a chance of getting Magnaboss or Tripredacus.
That's how you say Quetzalcoatlus?
Big Convoy's American name should be Ultra Magmoth
They kind of remind me of power rangers zords .
The biggest problem hasbro has, is the loose joints and they keep getting worse
Gigantosaurs have longer arms
Also three fingers, a narrower build (So the Rex may still have beaten it in terms of mass, being much wider), had more giant Titanosaurs, and probably killed with a different method.
You’re shorter than I thought when I met you at TFCon.
I think Tidal Wave is going to be a very small Titan but over $200
Personally, I like to call him Neo Primal just to reference the name of the series he came from.
You ruined my life of saying that purple dinosaur is in a T-Rex
Elasmosaurus is basically a water version of a sauropod that eats meat the quetzoquatol or however its spelled is the size of a modern day giraffe and is terrifying looking and the giganotasaurus pronounced jig a note a sore us is a larger version of the tyrannosaurus type of therapod
Okay is this like a cybertronian name for it or is he mispronouncing "chimera"?
Ptera! Tricera! Tyranno: (Screech) Pu-To-Tyrannosaurus!
I kinda disagree with the whole if it’s on the box they’re gonna make it like I’m still waiting on whirl and polarclaw
The way he pronounced Quetzalcoatlus 💀
where pablo
I think the Elazimasaurus could’ve easily been called a plesiosaurus.
Well it is a Plesiosaur.
Actually Dude Tidel Wave Will Be a Titan Class Not a Commander Class.
It looks like a toy you'd find on a shelf in a Walgreens. It's awful.
