WOW!!!! That is awesome. Love how you put the electrical tape between the two terminals. I am doing this on my riding lawnmower. Putting in a 12v cigarette socket. Genius
this is exactly what i started doing in my house with a new fan over a radiator to try and measure the CFM ...i needed more hands and less sparking so started trying to hook up a fuse and inline switch from my house haha! thanks... im looking closely at how you wired the switch, mainly curious on the ground.
Hi I'm running a 12vdc to 5vdc 15w buck connector with 2 usbs from a 12v lesuire battery. Connected with a 12awg inline fuse wire fitted with a 3amp fuse. I'm powering a alarm panel 5v connected to one of the usbs. And the other connector to a 5v siren. The alarm panel has a jack splitter with 2 sirens connected via jack input. Working current of the panel less then 120ma. And jack siren output less then working current 500ma dc3v to dc12v the Jack siren is rated. The usb siren 5v 1A working current 150 to 200ma. The inline fuse wire is tepid warm from the battery but not hot is this normal. Then the rest of the cable is cold from the fuse out to the buck.
Thanks for the video! I need to add a 1amp inline fuse for my boat trolling motor heading puck. This is a simple solution and prevents me from having to buy a cheap option that is prone to fail.

Looked this up because I lost my fuse tap in the garage somewhere and was not trying to buy another 😂
This is genius! Thank you!
I looked at AutoZone and a fabbed version of this was 20-37 dollars... Couldn't believe it.
You can also use heat shrink on each spade terminal as well, or insulated terminals. The tape will eventually get brittle and peel away over time.
Good idea. FYI, they make insulated spade connectors.

That shit is genius! Finally, something useful!!
Just did this to replace a thermal fuse on a box fan, and it actually works
Man this is genius! Thanks for sharing your brain with us sir!
Thankyou Buddy
thank you so much i didnt realise.
Thank you. Easy, safe, cheap. We can have it all sometimes.
Really innovative thanks ❤

This is way easier than what I had in mind.
Thanks a lot sir.
Do you use a hot and a ground or hot and Neutral
A few wraps of tape around each spade connector before assembly would increase the insulation.
AWESOME!! Thank you Amigo!! So simple and cheap?? Love seeing excellent content like this.👍
Thank you
What size fuse fits standard 5.8mm spades

Just saved 15 bucks!
Bravo 👏 you taught me something today thx man
Thankyou
or just use weatherproof connectors .. easy to remove the fuse if is blown ;)
He's said after the tape it's easy to replace if blown.
YOU ARE THE MAN!!
AWESOME IDEA
Good stuff. Thanks
👍
