I have one in 177 , very pellet fussy , tried several, only found one that shot well, stoeger x-power 10.19 gr , polished trigger, red locktight on all screws, super loose grip and shoots great
Nice intro Moose, After trying to shoot my version of that rifle accurately, and trying at least 10 different pellets, I passed it on In the .177 version my baffle system actually break and flew out the end of the barrel during the first 1k shots fired. Crosman customer service was great in 2012 and sent a new one in under 10 days. I replaced it with the synthetic Trail in .22 caliber which I find easier to shoot and way more accurate!
@@abitoutside as you know I'm new to the PCP world and let me tell you I absolutely love them but sometimes you just need to grab a tin of pellets and a pellet gun and call it a day
Nice video moose ! I’ve had mine for sometime now it picks off crows real nice. It really shocked me that it kicked the way it does. Try putting a drop of light weight oil in the back little hole of the pellet ! Three times as normal loudness ! Thanks for your information about it god bless you also and stay safe!
I have the exact gun and I am having issues with accuracy. I am sure it is the way I am holding the rifle. I am shooting about 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups at 35 yards with JSB exact diablo pellets 10.34gr pellets. I am sure also I have not shot enough to break my barrel in according to some information I have gained from other break barrel shooters. I had a chinese Springer when I was a kid that I took a lot of small game with. I reckon I forgot how to shoot a break barrel accutately....
Nice ! I have the NP XL in .22 but I could never get the damn thing to shoot better then like 3" groups at 33 yards... it just was wild and never accurate enough for me so I hung it up and it's been sitting for like 5 years collecting dust.. I tried to shim the barrel hinge, every .22 pellet under the sun, and tried different scopes and mounts, polished the bore, I even yelled at it lol. It just always shot not that great of a group and eats scopes like a pit bull lol. Beast of a break barrel though for sure. Rips pellets at ridiculous fps though.
Aparently with a new trigger ( CharliDatuna GRT III or CBR depends of Benjamin model) you can get much better accuracy. The stock factory trigger is horrible an very heavy 6 or 7 pound pull.
I can't shoot break barrels worth a darn no matter how much I practiced. I just got a Benji Maximus and a China handpump for the close in garden defense and never looked back
I miss my Benjamin Trail XL .177 It shot gold gamo 5.4 @ 1,470fps I found the sonic crack pleasing not loud to me and @ 30 and under a goose pesting machine kills them one shot humane my .22 beeman has killed them to but not as ethical I moved on to PCP but I would have kept this one except it breaks scopes one after the other the s***** part is I would have perferd iron sights on it. Ide buy a gamo swarm magnum they are lighter and have iron sights but they are not quite as peppy as this one
gun is LOUD!! a good crack....even in .22 caliber....this shit is LOUD!! Its a very LONG rifle....and it IS heavy. I would choose my Diana Airking in .22 than this.

I wish I would have bought it in 22

I suck at shooting cheap break barrels myself.
@@abitoutside All the more reason to try really hard to suck less 🤣...maybe time to dust the old girl off and see if I still suck lol

agreed ....exactly my experience . such a shame too.
how good is it on scopes im looking at the 25cal one just want to know about how it would handel on the scopes if it would last long or not.
I use the cheap one it came with
Did it last?
They call it the scope destroyer for a reason, kicks like a mule!
Had one in 22cal. I liked it. It didn't like me. Not for everyone.

Me either, then I got the HW97k and that changed everything
I got the same gun in 25 cal but I don’t like it to heavy!!! I think about selling the gun

You shoot geese with airguns?

It sure is, heavy Projectiles help a ton to not break the sound barrier
What good is it not to show how it shoots..
It's an intro video, shooting videos are seperate.
