- Exfoliating is a way to remove the dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin-and it’s one of the best steps you can add to your skin care routine. This simple act removes any dead skin cells on the surface of your face, brightens your complexion, lets your serums and moisturizers absorb better, clears your pores and accelerates cell turnover.
We show you how to use the two main types of exfoliants-physical and chemical-along with some tips and tricks to get the most out of your exfoliating routine.

Beastin Out depends on your skin type, if you break out a lot and easily it’s best to exfoliate every night before bed
after cleansing and exfoliation dont forget to moisturise.. :)
Always!
And protect with suncreme 😊❤
What if a use a toner after I exfoliate and then moisturise? Is that fine?

I really appreciate how she got right to the point and gave all the helpful information. No annoying intros or promotions, just solid, helpful facts. Thank you!!
Agree, but talks too fast, hard to follow, but the caption is helpful. Thank you.
I am an esthetician and spa owner and this is probably one of the best videos I have seen. Nice work!
28yrs old I am and I've never exfoliated. However I've had the odd face mask on. I never get spots... But now I feel I need to go do it 😅

The BEST most informative video about skin I’ve ever watched. I have autistic symptoms and I’ve been looking for someone to explain all the basics clearly to help me learn. This stuff confuses me but you made it so simple and easy to understand. I’m subscribing immediately and going to look through all your other videos!
i had to rewatch the video because of the ambiguously soothing voice that almost put me to sleep
Very informative and straight to the point. Much appreciated!
I like to use wash-off masks to exfoliate. I am currently trying kora organics skincare. So far I'm loving it.
10/10 video, this video properly explains every type of way to exfoliate while keeping it short and simple, and makes every main point easy to understand 🫶🫶
REMEMBER TO EXFOLIATE!
Whether you shave, sugar, wax or epilate, not enough exfoliation to remove excess layers of skin can lead to ingrown hairs. There are two types: chemical exfoliation (AHA, BHAs) and physical exfoliation (beads, coffee scrubs, gloves, brushes). Exfoliators like the WIZKER brush have soft and firm bristles.
I’ve always liked your voice. Captivating :) this was helpful and to the point
simple and straightforward explanation
Thank you 👍🏼
I use a mitten for my body I love it. But what kind of products can I use for my body?
i just bought my first exfoliator and used it but wasnt sure if i made it right so i went to check afterwards. somehow did it right before watching this video so yeee

Can you tell me do we have any rating for Deep Exfoliation. I saw a product, it had 4 star out of 5 for Deep Exfoliation
Any recommendations for peel pads?
I've never exfoliated. Never used mask.
The only things I use is facewash, toner and moisturizer
Ye many of us don't need it.
But if you want to treat yourself sometime, try a clay mask. It just feels so good afterwards, even tho I don't really need it 😂
I have a 2 in 1 cleanser and toner, should I use it before or after exfoliating?
Okay but can you still use the facial scrub even with acne?
I have dry skin and I'm also older which exfoliating mask do you recommend tia😁
After cleansing and rinsing, do you want your skin to be wet to exfoliate ?
Straight 2 the point, most of us don't do under our face or neck . I been doing more manual face , scrubs n moisturizer. Thank You
hi friends do i need the pads or anything when exfoliating ?
What products are best for exfoliating your skin?
Could you please tell me what steps are to be followed before and after using pore strips??Also doesn't cleansing mean the same as exfoliating?
can i use a facial peel mask for blackheads/whiteheads after exfoliating? thank you
Hello. Thank you for this video. Why does Kaitlin keep saying "after cleansing" before using the products? Is she talking about simply rinsing my face with water? Or, something else?
Avoid the eye area 😂 that's the main thing
Can u use regular sugar mixed w ur cleanser ?
can i use clay mask after using facial scrub?
Do you exfoliate at night or day? Which is better?
I have a dry skin. Please I need some product for proper exfoliation

Cab lactic acid at 5% be safe for seborrheic derm prone skin I have some flakes that are stubborn and I don’t know what to do ? Also has anyone heard of urea ? It’s a mild exfoliating compound too
What to use for exfoliating oily skin??
Do you rinse after using a peel pad or liquid exfoliate? And can you use toner after exfoliating?
Nope; peel pads and liquid exfoliants should stay on your skin. The only exception would be if it's a mask that specifically says it should only be left on for a short period of time. As far as toners go, the general answer is yes-just be careful you're not choosing a toner that also exfoliates. You'll want something gentle and hydrating after exfoliating.
THANK YOU!
first cleanser second exfoliate third moisturizer fourth sunscreen. can someone tell me whether I should use the eye serum before or after moisturizer?
Hello from Sweden! Can I exfoliate my skin with acids during the summer if I'm in the sun a lot(I am using spf 50 every day) ?
Or should I use another type of exfoliation during the summer? Thankyou
Sun and acids exfoliating are not good compared. Don’t go out to sun after exfoliate because you’re skin is very sensitive. And yes is good to use sunscreen 🧴, you don’t need to change your exfoliate your can you the same.
That’s what I do.😌😌😌😌
Hii I have a Question if someone have oily and acne prone skin which type of exfoliation would be beneficial ??
You kept saying "rinse with warm water" I wanted to know if there'll be any negative results when you use cold water?
Can I use honey or sugar before washing my skin I have black mark under my eyes let me know
Do I need to know my skin type before choosing a certain exfoliant?
Please why do u advice not to reach the eye area when exfoliating?
Is that a choices for exfoliating? So i will choose face scrubbing and i am 15 years old , i will use just once a week? I hope someone notice me🙃 god bless❤
Can you use a soft bristle toothbrush to exfoliate your face?
Hey! I am going to middle school, and I am trying to do a good routine. What do you recommend to use in a shower if your going to middle school? Thanks!
Use a cleanser in the shower, dry up a bit, then use the exfoliate. When you're done with the exfoliate, use the moisturizer very gently. Lastly, and most importantly, put on sunscreen so your face doesn't get worse from the exfolaition :)
Can you use a physical exfoliator once or twice and week and use a chemical exfoliator like Retinol at night?
It's a popular misconception that retinol is an exfoliant. It isn't. Retinol is an antioxidant, and an important skin-restoring ingredient. Physical exfoliants are TERRIBLE for your skin in the long run. I'd recommend a gentle cleanser, chemical exfoliant, toner (I use rose water) then mix retinol with a serum or essence to decrease it's intensity then a moisturizer. :)
Thanks for the video. How can one clean or cleanse the eye area since it's not exfoliated?
Hi, Lynny. The eye area is very delicate and should not be exfoliated like the rest of the face. You can still cleanse the eye area with a normal cleanser or micellar water without exfoliating.
Thanks a lot for the tips.I really appreciate it
Do we exfoliate only the face?
Mem...can you tell me that it reduces our acne scar ???
Hi, I have so much white heads and black heads, my face looks a mess..What do u recommend I use?Plz respond🙏🙏🙏🙏
Am using carrot oil which is good for the skin but they are not of irritation on my face
Hi, quick question, can I just use my hands instead of cotton pads?
Hey quick answer...you can😊
So..can i use my facial cleanser right after exfoliating?
You'd want to cleanse first and then exfoliate.
Julie what is a toner?
Park jimin from bts what are u doing here?😀
@@juice915 the fuck?
@@juice915 no. exfoliate first then put toner. exfoliating after putting on toner is just the same as wasting products.
Cool👌
Does aquaphor work
Do you moisturize before rinsing and drying off or after that? I know you wet your face, rub the exfoliator, and then rinse it off, but you still gotta moisturize after all that
u use toner after exfoliating and then moisturizer so yea after
Skin care is very important,
What is a good skin care routine for someone with oily pores and blackheads on nose and some acne around mouth?
Blackheads are caused by dead skin cells and oil trapped inside the pores so you need to remove the blackheads, wash your face then gently exfoliate, pat dry and moisturize. Do this every day in the morning and night before you go to bed.
I use a face scrub every night but I have THEASE weird bumps on my cheeks what are they if anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them pls tell me
I use proactiv as well as a sulfur mask but I haven't seen any results as far as in my view. Ppl tell me that my skin looks great but I still see the tiny bumps so does that mean I need to exfoliate??? I don't have the huge acne bumps the small annoying ones.
Exfoliating may help. We'd recommend a chemical exfoliant for acne-prone skin. You may want to visit an esthetician or dermatologist to find out what the bumps are for more personalized advice.
Hi there. Do u know how to get rid of acne? What should I do and what products should I get?
At what age we start home chemical peels
is it ok to use a face mask at the end?
As long as it's a gentle mask like a hydrating one or a sheet mask. Something like a detoxifying mask or a brightening one might be too harsh and should be used on days when you don't exfoliate.
I think I hit a new low by not exfoliating until now... thanks for the video! Btw, you only use like one squirt, right? And if the container says you can use it daily then that's totally okay? This is a facial scrub btw
Depends on the product, but a little goes a long way! What kind of scrub are you using? Most scrubs should only be used a few times a week, max. The exception is if its exfoliating ingredient is something super gentle like rice powder.
After moisturising my skin gets flakey even though I have oily skin
try a niacinamide serum
What lightens dark skin
Can I use chemical exfoliation in night?
Is it alright to use an exfoliating scrub first after cleanser and then a clay mask?
Actually it is better to cleanse first, because you don't want to rub and scrub the dirt. If you cleanse first, your skin can better absorb the product and you really get rid of all the dead skin cells...
Be careful all of those are VERY drying on the skin.

I'm 19 years old with normal/combination skin. Is it okay to exfoliate twice a week but only wash face and afterwards apply moisturiser on a daily basis? Thank you.
Yes, that sounds completely fine!
@@dermstore Sorry to bother again, would it help to follow the same procedure for someone with sensitive skin? Thank you and have a great night! :)
Should we exfoliate everyday or.?
Can I do exfoliate even I have pimples??
Why does my skin go brigjt red afyer using gel exfoliator
i'm gonna use an exfoliating soap for 2 weeks straight a month or every 2 months 👌🏼☺️
How’s it going?
So I'm guessing it should go like this?
1. Face wash
2. Face Scrub
3. Moisturizer
4. Eye cream
I'm new to all of this, and don't know much about it. In the video it shows the woman drying her face before applying the face scrub but the directions always say apply it to a wet face. So do you cleanse, dry and then wash again before using the face scrub or do what's done in the video?
I have sensitive skin and I usually exfoliate my face while I am in the shower (before I wash my hair). Right after I am done taking a shower I turn the temperature of the water to a cooler temperature to close my pores and follow-up with my skincare (cleanser, toner, eye cream and face moisturizer or just a hydrating mask or a combination). I also scrub my body too while I am in the shower on the day I exfoliate. Sometimes I don't bother mosterizing much body after showering it depends how I feel. I hope this information helps! I use Rocher Yves skincare (scentive line) and Hydro face scrub and Hydro mask (sometimes) and for my body I use their body scrub and Aloe Vera body butter from the body shop.
Hi! Depends on the product-you wouldn't necessarily have to dry off if using a scrub, but some exfoliants work better on dry skin. As for the order, you'd want to use eye cream before moisturizer to make sure those potent ingredients get into your skin!
So a facial wipe is a method of exfoliating?
Thank GOD for Another Blessed day. & Ask GOD for forgiveness for all your sins & shortcomings. & Pray before you eat. & Pray before you go to sleep.
I'm 14 years old with oily skin, and have a VERY bad acne. and i dont rlly have skin care routine o.o
I damaged my skin 😥 how to heal
I like that the model is natural woman. Lol gonna start tonight
I always ask myself how long it takes for the skin to absorb all of this. Or if it's even usefull to use a peeling and then a lotion or something because I wonder if the ingredients even get fully absorbed then.
Tbh since I have sensitive skin, I usually wait at least 5 minutes in between my steps
@@MangoMuffin do I exfoliate first ,after my soap ,then my lotion
what if you have a 2 in 1 toner and cleanser? is the routine the same orr
edit: what if youre under 12 can u do this with your mums products
I would research your moms products to make sure its safe for your skin type
I have lots of bumps on my cheeks that don’t look like they are acne or inflamed. Is this just likely to be extra dry skin that I should exfoliate?
They could be milk spots
You can search up on google how to get rid of them but they are normally under the skin and yiu would need to stean your face to open up your pores before washing
Jade Miller thanks
Steaming your face can make it worse. I had bumps too and what I did I bought the UFO salicylic treatment and I massaged it on my cheeks(where you have the bumps) and thats how I got rid of them.
Jade Miller i know i’m a little late, but it might be eczema
I never exfoliate my face and i don't know which one can suit with my skin because i jave a sensitive skin. Any recommendation?
gentle exfoliate is way to go :-)
Gunalah soft peeling gel from wonder haru haru. Cuba tengok kat ig @theklwonderlab
i knew it. it was suppose to be once a week thing. but i scrub my face twice a day all according to google. haha
Why do I have to cleanse before exfoliating? isn't cleansing already included in exfoliating? and can I skip the toner? I'm a man if it matters.
When do you do this? Before or after cleansing
After cleansing. Some exfoliants can also double as cleansers, so you can knock out two steps at once.
@@dermstore so after i wash and cleanse, I proceed to exfolating then after that should I still wash my face or just wait then add moisturiser?
What if you don't use moisturizer after exfoliating? Is that ok?
Hi! It is very important to moisturize after exfoliating, because you are essentially stripping your skin. I would recommend cleansing, exfoliating, and follow up with a good moisturizer that suits your skin type. Oh! And make sure to wear an SPF everyday! I hope this long rant helped you😂 :)
I have oily skin and I have oil free moisturizer but after applying my skin become darker..I don't know why thats why I don't moisturize my skin 😒
Quick question but after using exfoliate I’m using apple cider as a toner but don’t know if I should use it 2 times a day, after that I’m starting to use coconut oil and wonder if that’s 2 times a day aswell
Kushionz no toner should only be used once after exfoliating. it will dry out your face if used too much
coconut oil can also clog your pores
Should you exfoliate before cleansing or after?
After
Helppp I just used a product and after I woke up, my face is full of dead skin cells.
is exfoliating same method with scrubing?
I think scrubbing is a physical exfoliation method...
Ok but can i get clear skin naturally... Like coz i cant buy anything during quarantine... Like water, honey, idk
