I'm a simple man. I see a Pile Of Possibilities video by Cliff, I CLICK! Great list my friend :) I need to read more Sodergren, and Rotten Tommy sounds interesting. The cover for Her Heart Beats For Ancient Beasts is utterly captivating!
I’ve been wanting to read Rotten Tommy! Psychic Teenage Bloodbath is on my list too! I can’t wait to read that! Autumncrow! One of my favorites. Can’t wait to see what you think of these books. Happy reading! 🎃
I’m starting Her Heart Beats this weekend. Probably Sunday. I’m going through What Moves the Dead this week. Reading the shorter books first before reading Head Like a Hole closer to All Hallows.
I hope you enjoy, it looks like an interesting collection. Interested to hear your thoughts on Head Like A Hole, such a bizarre cover- if I am thinking of the correct book.
Sounds like a great pile of possibilities Cliff! I absolutely love Salem’s Lot. My favorite King book, although I’m really loving the Shining so far too c
@@CliffsDarkGemsYou say that now, before the screaming and the thing that will befall your next-door neighbors and the green-black rain and…but I’ve said too much. You have fun while you can.
Love the spooky shelf decor. Clowns vs Spiders sounds like a fun read. The cover of Ancient Stories is beautiful. Salem's Lot is one of my favorite King books. I need to revisit it soon. I've heard good things about Halloween Fiend. Yay for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark! Your October is shaping up to be spooktacular. I always recommend everyone add The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving to their annual October TBR.
Thank you so much Jen! I am re-reading Salem's Lot as we speak. It is sooo good! I enjoyed The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, perhaps it is time for a re-read, maybe next Halloween. Hope you are having an excellent spooky month.🎃
I hope you enjoy Autumncrow, Cliff! A lot of people describe it as YA, but it is actually adult. Autumncrow High: Fresh Hell is YA, though I would say it is much more graphic and intense than Autumncrow is. 🎃
Hello, Cliff! I gotta re-read Salem’s Lot myself. My high-school teacher had it on his syllabus. It was the King I read and it changed my life! Hopefully, that new movie does it justice. HAPPY READING 📖 ✌️🙂
love the halloween decor, it was the first thing I noticed! Looking forward to our buddy read as well 🙂 And yes, its true! Sodergren announced on his Instagram that he is the person behind 'Carl John Lee' and I was SHOCKED 🤯 hope you enjoy Psychic Teenage Bloodbath!
Thanks for watching Angyl! Yes, we had lots of fun with the spooky Decor. Looking forward to our chat and I am sure Psychic Teenage Bloodbath will be fun.
Hi Cliff, great picks! I just started Something Wicked This Way Comes yesterday and enjoying it so far! It finally came available from my library and it wasn’t originally on my TBR but I thought it would be fun to read it this time of year. My siblings and I had those “scary stories to tell in the dark” books and we used to love them! The illustrations were so creepy and I’m honestly surprised my mom let us have these books. Maybe she didn’t really look through them 😂. I agree, Psychic Teenage Bloodbath has a great cover as well as Autumn Crow and Halloween Fiend 🎃✨. I hope you enjoy all of these this month, especially the one you read on Halloween night and I always look forward to your reviews when you’re done! 😊
Thank you so much Farrah, I look forward to all the spooky reads this month. Psychic Teenage Bloodbath is definitely an extreme horror story, so it might not be for you. I really hope you enjoy Something Wicked This Way Comes, it is a favorite of mine. So many awesome themes of coming of age but also about coping with growing old. I really look forward to reading and experiencing Scary Stories... and I love the illustrations. 🎃 Hope you have a wonderfully, deliciously, scary Halloween! 🎃🤡🕷
Ghus is looking great back there. I’ve really got to read more by Algernon Blackwood. Of Foster Homes and Flies is a pretty good one. I love Autumncrow! Enjoy! 🎃
So exciting! Rotten Tommy is awesome, I gave it 5 stars! Exciting list... let me know when you're about to read The Halloween Tree and if the library copy is available I'll join you!
Of course October is the best month: it’s the one I chose to be born in. I mean, duh. :) I love the sheer happiness that radiates when you talk about your plans. Reading should be that fun. I’ve got short story collections here by Kristi Demeester, Livia Llewellen, Gemma Files, and Farah Rose Smith, and am stoked for all of them. There will be novels, too, but I haven’t decided which. Novels by Caitlin Kiernan, Cassandra Khaw, Premee Mohamed, Shirley Jackson, and Elizabeth Hand are all up for re/reading, any I don’t get to this month going into the stack for upcoming months.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Sounds like you have great reading plans for the month. Lots of authors I have yet to read. Have a great October!
You call that horror books? They're more like books for children. Nah. Just kidding. I hope to read Slewfoot by Brom, Last Call by Sean Costello and My Throat an Open Grave by Tori Bovalino. Finally the best month of the year has started. 💀👻👽🧛🎃
Don't be so mean! I think I have some fun Halloween books. I think I have some blood-soaked, gory books in my line-up, so stop being a party-pooper! Thanks for the recs 🤣
@@CliffsDarkGems can't help it. The Spooky Season brings out the evil side of me. And if you need a party-pooper, just call my name three times. 👹 Glad to be at help and hope you'll enjoy your October reads.
Love the noose around Ghus! Lots of great book choices here. HOpe you and Anita have a great month!
Thank you my friend!

Thanks Chas! I am just finishing off a re-read of Salem's Lot, absolutely loving it. The Shining is in my top 5 King books, glad you are enjoying it.
Nice! I like seeing a South African horror writer (excuse me, 'dak fiction' writer). Looking forward to your review of it.
Thanks Michael! It was kind of him to gift me the books.
