Aw, don't worry; whine away. If it wasn't for whining, I doubt I'd speak at all these days. 😉 All the best to both of you for a swift recovery. And with getting your Kindle straightened out. I'm pretty sure the illustrations in those "Scary Stories" books traumatized a whole generation of children. 😂 And Edifice Complex sounds ... different. 😳 I've been in a mood to incorporate some horror into my reading. Starting off with some short stories, but I might eventually want something heftier and more depraved. 😇 Have a good one!

Great video Cliff! I’m sorry Anita brought home the sickies. Hopefully you both recover well. I wish I could help you with the kindle problems, but I have no idea what might fix that. I feel your pain though, because I do almost all my reading on Kindle.

One of the books you mentioned reminded me of a documentary I watched. About people who is in love/having romantic feelings for buildings and things. Pretty messed up. And get well soon to the both of you.🌟

Hey Cliff, I'm sure that if you didn't have bad luck you'd have no luck at all, I hope you both fully recover from the virus soon. My Kindle just randomly flicks forward several pages at once and sometimes the page freezes and is unresponsive, it doesn't happen as often as yours though. I've found that a hard restart and checking for updates usually sorts it out.

Aww that virus you both picked up sounds horrible. I’m so happy you’re both feeling better now. It’s really weird what your kindle is doing. You’ve probably already tried rebooting it but if not if you hold the wake/sleep button down fo 30s or so it should fully turn off. Hopefully it’s just a software glitch and it’ll be back to normal when you turn it on again.

My time zone is similar to yours and most of the US videos come out while I’m sleeping so I do same as you and watch a few before work and then the rest in the evening. Read it 30 years ago and still resonates within me. It has some good lessons on love, patience, hate and how the world revolves. Revisiting it right now just to see if my perception has changed.
