Ron’s attitude makes a bit more sense in the books because his character is much more developed. He comes from a very, very poor family -everything from his robes to his wand to his books (and even his pet) had belonged to his siblings before him. He’s also the 6th son in his family, he has 5 older brothers who all stand out in a way or another: Bill works for Gringotts, Charlie works with dragons, Percy was both a Prefect and Head Boy and Fred and George are popular because they’re the pranksters and people like them. And Ginny, his younger sister, was the first girl his parents had. So he’s always felt that he’s just there. And then he befriends *the* Harry Potter, who’s obviously more popular, and Hermione who is the best witch of her age. Again, he feels that he’s just there. Awfully poor and Harry’s sidekick. When Harry gets chosen, he initially thinks he had found a way to cheat the goblet and hadn’t told Ron, so he felt, once again, he had been left out. It’s pure jealousy, but knowing Ron’s background it makes a lot of sense. He’s a wonderful character in the books and they did him so dirty in the movies 😪

Four minutes in and I have three comments. 1 - the old guy is angry about the light because the house is unoccupied but teenagers constantly break in so that’s what he thinks has happened. 2 - Unfortunately the film picks up a few chapters in and Harry did spent the first three weeks of summer with his aunt and uncle. 3 - Harry does indeed need a haircut.
I love Harry potter and i love your Humor, i don't get the feeling of you trashing the movies. I'm always happy when i see a new HP reaction notification from you :D keep it up. :D
Ah, this one is tricky. On one hand, like you said, the overall atmosphere of the movie is more mature and really good. The acting is for the most part great (vampire-boy included) and you get a lot of character development. On the other hand we have the introduction of the international magic schools. It could be really cool (it certainly was in the books) but instead we got a couple of dozen french moaning murtles dressed in blue, butterflies and...well, the dress code for the durmstrang boys weren't too bad honestly. Nevertheless, none of the schools are for one gender. They are two of the biggest schools in Europe, so that choice made little sense from the producers side. And, for the final and perhaps most important note, movie Dumbeldore needs to take a vacation. Seriously, get that dude a plane ticket to Florida or something. He has clearly been working to much and the stress is making him lash out on students and miss obvious signs of danger.
"Vampire boy included" grow up child and learn some respect He's an INCREDIBLE actor, much better than Daniel Radcliff by a long shot so keep ur mouth closed
@@rachelBradyni Right, okay then. Robert Patinsson is a good actor which I already stated in my previous post. He is mostly known however for a shitty movie where he plays a sparkly, broody vampire-boy who's always looking slightly constipated. He has since continued his career with better roles so thats good for him. As for your statement that he is much better than Daniel Radcliff by a long shot.... We will just have to agree to disagree. I have taken your suggestion about keeping my mouth closed and decided against it, but thank you for the advice. Best regards to you.

Glad I came across this. You’re hilarious and very charismatic. I love watching people react to these films for the first time. 13:12 had me laughing pretty hard.
Good morning/evening Newman. Your reactions videos are awesome, you really seem to be a nice guy and I love your joy of living. I was going to answer your questions like I did last time but it's obvious that you were much more into this movie so you pretty much understood everything so far. Also, it'd be great to have a mini video one day in which you do a sorting hat quiz so we can be sure that you really are a Ravenclaw ; )
1) Santa Clause is definitely a hufflepuff 2) I think you’ve said you are a teacher SO I’ve got a question: If you had the ability to turn a student into a ferret *temporarily* are there any times when you would have used it?? 😂
You make me cackle with every video, I completely lost it when you compared Krum to a guy from Avatar the Last Airbender's Fire Nation at 11:48-11:50 😂😂 Had to leave a comment again to let you know how hilarious and awesome you are ✨
Great job on this there is a lot in this movie, it's smart to break it up into 2 parts. You may have to do even more than that in the later movies. Can't wait for part 2!
In the book the old guy is a housekeeper (? I think) and is upset bc there were teenagers messing around in the house. So he went there to tell them off but it was Voldemort (Sry if there's an error, I haven't read the books for like 7 years)
I have loved watching your Harry Potter movie commentaries! Watching other people react to the series makes me feel like I'm watching it for the first time again. I'd love to see Lord of the Rings as well!
Alright, this deserves a second comment. Again I laughed out loud, again I am enjoying myself so much! I also never really liked the third movie for mostly the reasons you named but also the change in cinematography that I didn’t like that much. It is still ok and I don’t skip it when I rewatch all of them, but for me it’s just the point from which it keeps getting exponentially better. And your sense of humor, your little ‘critics’ and snarks at things are making me smile so much. I like the movies, loved the books. But your logic, your quick translation of rubbish latin spells (which was hilarious) and all of what you say is so perfect and well placed. Even when you just guess random stuff. I can’t get mad at you, you still pick up more than I expected a first time watcher to do. And you are still invested, somewhat at least ;) So I am always sure that all those sarcastic comments and jokes are not with any bad intent. They’re entertaining. Because you are. Whatever content will come up on this channel next - I don’t care. You’ve won me over. I am sticking here. Man, good job. Seriously!
Your reaction to Fred and George putting their names in the goblet and growing beards has me dying🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fun fact: Fred and George Weasley are 16 yrs old in this film whereas Oliver and James Phelps were 19 during filming. They are also 4 months older than Robert Pattinson who plays the character of 17 yr old Cedric Diggory.
It's a bit different in the book, but part of Hermione being emotional about the Unforgivables was that she knew the last curse was the one that killed Harry's parents. That's why she was shaking her head a bit when asked.
The actual cinematography of the movies get darker and more ominous as they go on because Lord Voldemort is slowly but surely coming back into power. Glad to see that you enjoyed this one more than the last.
It isn't explained in the movies I think, but the reason Neville was so bothered by the Cruciatus curse is because when he was a baby, after Harry's parents were murdered, a couple of death eathers broke into his house and tortured his parents into insanity. They survived but had to be in the wizard's hospital permanently, and they don't even reconise Neville. There's a lot of details in the books that the movies didn't include, which is sad because they made the story a lot richer and darker.
They just have pointy hats. (Which has alot of occult symbolism and meaning but its also like crossroads are a point of energy etc. Long story short haha.) When one makes references to that is just silly to me sometimes, my mind never went there. I just thought "ah, a dark magic wizard cult dedicated to Voldemort." It was VERY different in the books and there was whole beginning chapters with Voldemort souly for and about him. Which prepped for the future events during quiddich world cup bit...
I used to like this movie before reading the books and after reading GOF book ,I started hating it ,like really the main parts of the book are not included and some scenes changed ,book version is the best
the old man at the start has been the housekeeper of that abandoned house for years and always finds young kids breaking in and so was annoyed and went to investigate! it used to be the riddle’s house :)
Yea...I somehow knew you would like this movie better than the last one. Still can't really understand why people like this movie so much(for me it is the weakest one of the series), but it is interesting to here it from someone who has not seen the movies before. Really looking forward to part 2 ^^
Mostly only those who never read the books enjoy this a lot as it is more action compares to the first 3 movies. It was my favorite too before i read the book...
"Morsmordre" that was the spell. During the First Wizard War, Death Eaters left that mark on the houses which they killed inhabitants. Everyone's biggest fear was founding this mark on their houses when they returned home from work. And Morsmordre means "killing mothers"
Its an opinion of course, but its Very, VERY rare like globet of fire better than prisioner of azkaban. Not only that, Prisioner of azkaban is consider by must of the fans the best movie by Far. And half blood Prince the WORST by Far even thought is the best book.
"why is he angry because a light went on?" well, the old man is frank, he is a gardener on a old house (the house of the riddles) in little hangleton. In the book, its explained, that voldemort(tom riddle) came to the house once again and killed all riddles... In the town, people suspected then frank, and since then, he is a grumpy old man nobody wants to live in the house anymore, but frank still gardens everything sometimes, some boys sneak in az night and make a little fire in a room and hang out there, or destroy certain things, and frank has to deal with that for a long time, so when voldemort came and took the house for himself, frank of course thought, there were some stupid little boys again, that broke in to annoy him. and another little backstory voldemort was multiple times in the deep forests of albania (i think it was there, where he met nagini... the soul, that was no without a body, searched for living things to "live" in...) after 1981, when he fall, and harry was a baby, he escaped to albania, where he met quirrel then, after the fall in 1992 in the sorcerer stone, he met there wormtail again he also searched for the diadem of ravenclaw there (and found it) because helena ravenclaw, the grey lady hid it there he then killed a random farmer to split his soul once more. helena ravenclaw hid it there because she was very angry at her mother, rowena, the founder of ravenclaw... She took the diadem and escaped her family then, rowena sent someone to go looking for her: the bloody baron (ghost from Slytherin) the bloody baron found her and wanted that she came back, but she refused, so he got angry and killed her, later, he killed himself (thats why he is so bloody) Sorry, when i start to write information about hp, i cant stop and always want to write another backstory related to it haha so the horkrux of the diadem was created by killing a random farmer of albania the diary with the murder of the mouning myrtle (the basilisk killed her, but because voldemort(back then tom riddle) wanted to, i guess that counts too helga hufflepuffs cup was at a home from an older lady, hepzibah smith, she also was in possession of the medallion of salazar slytherin, tom riddle visited her and killed her, after she showed him the items tom made the house elf of hepzibah thinking, that he killed her The Snakes horkrux was made by killing frank Brice, so nagini was the last one
The movies very briefly mention what happened to Neville's parents. They were tortured with the Cruciatus Curse to the point of insanity for information, which is why Neville was so uncomfortable watching the spider being tortured.
You know how people say "it's the little things in life". Well the fact that Newman just pulled out a big muffin, looked straight at the camera and just said "Muffin" just made me appreciate him a lot more, and I don't know why lol
Great reaction, you always entertain me so much. Just a thing for you to know: in novels Dumbledore is always so much calm an polite, even in this book. His characterization in this film is totally wrong. Every action he does is always descripted with "calmly" or "gently". Hope my english is not too bad, greetings from Italy👋🏻💪🏻
In my opinion this is definitely the first movie of the series that needs to be re-watched. Especially for those that haven’t read the books, the first 20 minutes of the movie or so needs a bit more explanation.
Fun fact. In the books it’s specified that dumbledore calmly asks Harry if he put his name in the goblet of fire so it’s like a running joke in the HP community because the directors changed that so dramatically lol
This film is a great one. Not sure if it's nostalgia, but the first 4 are my favourite of them all, with 6 coming after. 5, 7 pt 1 and 7 pt 2 are all good films, but I feel like they started doing romantic stuff that unfortunately didn't work well, either due to directing or lack of chemistry between characters. This film teases the romance well though.
Sadly Krum was dine dirty in the movies, nice and all but he was very cool in the books and became even more cool and down to earth. Even was more present and mentioned in this big book and in the future and even bigger books. He had longer hair too. So buzzing it is a huge change... but that part didn't bug me so much.
Once again: love your reactions!! I’m so glad that you’re so into this Potter universe! I bet that at the end of the 8th film you’ll be a Potterhead. P.S. now I want a muffin :P
4:37 because stargates/portals are actually safer, when set up correctly, than a car, and thy're much quicker as the 2 gates connect via a worhole, cutting through the Time Space Continuum itself.

the funniest thing about this movie is that yes, robert’s character (cedric) does get in a love triangle this movie. i’m glad he didn’t get in one in batman
ah yes, harry potter and the year nobody got a fucking haircut lol i never understood why the high seats in the quidditch pitch would be considered bad. it's a sport played high in the air, surely even if you have to look down to see the action, that's infinitely better than craning your neck up for however many hours lol you wanna know something weird and kinda gross? the 2 other schools, beauxbatons and durmstrang, were not single gender at all. the were changed for the movie, i'm assuming because the french were depicted in the books as softer (wore silks, more emotive, some quite petty) while durmstrang were seen as brutish, strong, stoic. i'm sure the champions played a role in the choice, too, but the book made a point to mention both boys and girls in both schools
neville and hermionie were bothered by the cruciatas curse because both of neville’s parents were tortured to a point that is considered worse than death using it and hermionie knows about it. they can’t even speak or recognise their own son anymore
I can understand why you would prefer this movie if you haven't read the books but it is a pretty poor adaptation. Extending the stupid dragon scene and gutting out much of the central mystery.
Ron’s attitude makes a bit more sense in the books because his character is much more developed. I love to rewatch movies with reaction channels like you, I'm glad I saw you on my recommended but I will wait till the last movie and make a marathon
Good idea if you’ve got hours to spend!
Agreed on all points!
Nah, don't send Dumbledore to Florida, Prague will do :)
"Vampire boy included" grow up child and learn some respect
He's an INCREDIBLE actor, much better than Daniel Radcliff by a long shot so keep ur mouth closed
@@itidait4569 He is better than Daniel, this dude said it too he can't even cry properly in the movies let alone much of anything else and wow, judging him on something almost 15 years ago? Pathetic
The writing was awful and Kristen Stewarts acting and delivery was terrible but Roberts delivery was amazing compared the books
He hated the movies so my point still stands
Yeah keep your mouth closed child and don't speak to me
I LOVE your reactions they're so good and your sense of humor is just great!!!! XD
Definitely agree that this ones better than the last! Cant wait for more!
I’m so glad you like the reactions!
I’m a potterhead and i LOVE your reactions .. keep going man ❤️
I come to find casual viewers or people new to Harry Potter love this one, this one used to be in my top 3 but then I read the books and it’s my second least favourite, my least favourite being Half-Blood Prince, Half-Blood Prince bein my joint favourite book
Can't stop telling you how fun and genuine your reactions are! First time I get so attached to a UA-camr, and you're not even of my generation! Glad you're enjoying this, will wait for tomorrow :D
Thanks a lot!
Same dude. This guy seems so nice and it's really good to see in that dark world we're living in
@@HelloNewman that's the most polite way I've heard someone be called old.
Yay! Peet’s shoutout. I appreciate your personality and contribution to the online community. Very fun and entertaining!
Love the Peet’s!
1) Santa Clause is definitely a hufflepuff
2) I think you’ve said you are a teacher SO I’ve got a question: If you had the ability to turn a student into a ferret *temporarily* are there any times when you would have used it?? 😂
Hmm...
Book:”Harry did you put your name in the goblet of fire? “-dumbledoor sakes *calmly*

I’m rewatching these again because they’re my favorite Harry Potter reactions out there. Honest but yet still enjoys the great things of the series.
I’d love to see your LOTR commentary! Extended edition only!
Yes!
Is there any other version? 😛
You make me cackle with every video, I completely lost it when you compared Krum to a guy from Avatar the Last Airbender's Fire Nation
at 11:48-11:50 😂😂 Had to leave a comment again to let you know how hilarious and awesome you are ✨
Thanks so much! Happy to make everyone laugh!
Great job on this there is a lot in this movie, it's smart to break it up into 2 parts. You may have to do even more than that in the later movies. Can't wait for part 2!
In the book the old guy is a housekeeper (? I think) and is upset bc there were teenagers messing around in the house. So he went there to tell them off but it was Voldemort (Sry if there's an error, I haven't read the books for like 7 years)
Makes sense!
He's the caretaker.
Seriously!
The sarcasm is never with ill-intent. Glad you’re enjoying these!
Man, this is my favourite of your reactions so far! I thought you'd like GoF a lot more than PoA 😁 Can't wait to see Part 2!
You're not the first reactor I've seen to say Santa clause actually. Amazingly funny every time!! 🤣😅😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your reaction to Fred and George putting their names in the goblet and growing beards has me dying🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact:
Fred and George Weasley are 16 yrs old in this film whereas Oliver and James Phelps were 19 during filming. They are also 4 months older than Robert Pattinson who plays the character of 17 yr old Cedric Diggory.
Your reactions are the best!!!! My husband and I love them and you keep us laughing!!! Thank you!!! We love you❤ !!
HA! Glad you like them!
Thought you would indeed prefer this film! :)
Definitely keep the editing to 2 parts, works wonders for all parties. Have a great day Sir!
It's a bit different in the book, but part of Hermione being emotional about the Unforgivables was that she knew the last curse was the one that killed Harry's parents. That's why she was shaking her head a bit when asked.
Just to say I’ve been waiting for this after loving your other HP reactions. on the watch it later list
Great! I can't wait for the second part, your reactions are the best ever
The actual cinematography of the movies get darker and more ominous as they go on because Lord Voldemort is slowly but surely coming back into power. Glad to see that you enjoyed this one more than the last.
It's better because in the books this is where it all changed drastically and gets darker faster and faster.
I'm so happy you're enjoying it! This is one of my favorite movies
Yo your reactions are hilarious. Post part 2 pronto
There's a lot of details in the books that the movies didn't include, which is sad because they made the story a lot richer and darker.
the avatar references >
I loved this reaction more than the previous ones! keep it up. the movies will get much much more dark, can't wait to see your reactions to them
Longbotton parents were tortured to madness by the cruccio curse. Thats why Hermione acted like thatm
I love your reactions! Cannot wait for part 2!
Such great commentary and so happy you like this one :)
You give out a Cool Teacher vibes naturally.
Love this rection So funny, " HOLY CRAP ITS THE KKK" LOL , can't wait for part 2!. 20 minutes went by really quick.
The actor who plays Mad Eye Moody was the friend in Braveheart.
Nah, the weakest by FAR is half blood Prince. The best book in the series yet the WORST movie by Far
Mostly only those who never read the books enjoy this a lot as it is more action compares to the first 3 movies. It was my favorite too before i read the book...
the random soul glow moment you had was amazing lmfao
Can’t remember what triggered that. Lol
"what house is Santa Claus in? is he Gryffindor? He's Hufflepuff, isn't he?" HAHAHAHAHAH OMG
Yep I just confirmed you are my new favourite person in UA-cam!
I’m a weirdo.
"why is he angry because a light went on?"
well, the old man is frank, he is a gardener on a old house (the house of the riddles) in little hangleton. In the book, its explained, that voldemort(tom riddle) came to the house once again and killed all riddles... In the town, people suspected then frank, and since then, he is a grumpy old man
nobody wants to live in the house anymore, but frank still gardens everything
sometimes, some boys sneak in az night and make a little fire in a room and hang out there, or destroy certain things, and frank has to deal with that for a long time, so when voldemort came and took the house for himself, frank of course thought, there were some stupid little boys again, that broke in to annoy him.
and another little backstory
voldemort was multiple times in the deep forests of albania (i think it was there, where he met nagini... the soul, that was no without a body, searched for living things to "live" in...)
after 1981, when he fall, and harry was a baby, he escaped to albania, where he met quirrel
then, after the fall in 1992 in the sorcerer stone, he met there wormtail again
he also searched for the diadem of ravenclaw there (and found it) because helena ravenclaw, the grey lady hid it there
he then killed a random farmer to split his soul once more.
helena ravenclaw hid it there because she was very angry at her mother, rowena, the founder of ravenclaw... She took the diadem and escaped her family
then, rowena sent someone to go looking for her: the bloody baron (ghost from Slytherin) the bloody baron found her and wanted that she came back, but she refused, so he got angry and killed her, later, he killed himself (thats why he is so bloody)
Sorry, when i start to write information about hp, i cant stop and always want to write another backstory related to it haha
so the horkrux of the diadem was created by killing a random farmer of albania
the diary with the murder of the mouning myrtle (the basilisk killed her, but because voldemort(back then tom riddle) wanted to, i guess that counts too
helga hufflepuffs cup was at a home from an older lady, hepzibah smith, she also was in possession of the medallion of salazar slytherin, tom riddle visited her and killed her, after she showed him the items
tom made the house elf of hepzibah thinking, that he killed her
The Snakes horkrux was made by killing frank Brice, so nagini was the last one
The movies very briefly mention what happened to Neville's parents. They were tortured with the Cruciatus Curse to the point of insanity for information, which is why Neville was so uncomfortable watching the spider being tortured.
Yeah, i didnt even think about it when i click
In the book not only did the death eaters torch the World Cup but they also used their wands to levitate a muggle family into the air.
You know how people say "it's the little things in life". Well the fact that Newman just pulled out a big muffin, looked straight at the camera and just said "Muffin" just made me appreciate him a lot more, and I don't know why lol
I love me some muffins.
Damn I feel cheated! I didn´t notice the "Part 1" bit till it was too late...
Second one comes out tomorrow!
Fun fact. In the books it’s specified that dumbledore calmly asks Harry if he put his name in the goblet of fire so it’s like a running joke in the HP community because the directors changed that so dramatically lol
yes HP 4 is my favourite movie!!
Yeah nobody knows why Dumbledore is like 'that' in this film. I guess the actor really wanted to leave a lasting impression 😂
The teacher is back. Your reactions are very refreshing. Honest and Very critical. But I have to say you are such a Teacher: teaching all the time 😂 But Hogwart as you have said is not very safe school. Rules if there're any are very flexible...
the funniest thing about this movie is that yes, robert’s character (cedric) does get in a love triangle this movie. i’m glad he didn’t get in one in batman
Moody: any questions?
Hello, Newman: are you going to be here more then a year?
🤣🤣🤣
ah yes, harry potter and the year nobody got a fucking haircut lol
i never understood why the high seats in the quidditch pitch would be considered bad. it's a sport played high in the air, surely even if you have to look down to see the action, that's infinitely better than craning your neck up for however many hours lol
you wanna know something weird and kinda gross? the 2 other schools, beauxbatons and durmstrang, were not single gender at all. the were changed for the movie, i'm assuming because the french were depicted in the books as softer (wore silks, more emotive, some quite petty) while durmstrang were seen as brutish, strong, stoic. i'm sure the champions played a role in the choice, too, but the book made a point to mention both boys and girls in both schools
6:27 "This guy is a lunatic." Oi! Don't insult the Doctor! ;)
Had a feeling you would like this one more than the others. My favorite movie and book are the are coming up after the you do the part 2 of this one.
Because Neville's parents were tortured to insanity by the cruciatus curse . Hermione was trying to protect him .
Newman: "Dont let this old guy die, cmon". Everyone who knows what happens: "👀"
I love the actress of myrtle since i learned that the voiced Babu Frik in Star wars
I love Harry Potter and lord of the rings equally so seeing your perspective is very interesting and intriguing to me lol
I love the analogies you do .
neville and hermionie were bothered by the cruciatas curse because both of neville’s parents were tortured to a point that is considered worse than death using it and hermionie knows about it. they can’t even speak or recognise their own son anymore
Oh i need a coming to america commentary!
That movie is so good
I can understand why you would prefer this movie if you haven't read the books but it is a pretty poor adaptation. Extending the stupid dragon scene and gutting out much of the central mystery.
HELL YEAH BRO GLAD YOU AT LEAST LOVED THE GOVLET OF FIRE!!! CHILDHOOD FAVORITE
Goblet
@@phengstablendz5437 You know editing comments exists, right? Just saying :)
