You kept asking throughout this review why everyone was treating the TWT so seriously; in the books, it's explained that back when the tournament was running normally, it had a tragically high death rate - at times, every contestant was killed before reaching the end, leading to changes in the difficulty of challenges. Still, to make it a fair fight, it had to remain spectacularly difficult. And thus the fear, because each tournament has unique challenges and the teachers would not have known them ahead of time, unlike the standard (but still ludicrously unsafe) examinations taking place in their respective schools.
Since you have now seen all the Harry Potter movies and have been overwhelmed with information, I can't and don't need to write anything more informal to you. BUT the fact that you never had a prom makes me kind of sad. It probably won't help you, but you're so likeable and cute that I would have gone to every ball with you ❤✌️! (In Germany, celebrating graduation is very different and for me it was a long time ago. But I've seen enough american movies in my life to know how it's done there)
The funniest part is in the books, Dumbledore asked Harry calmly about whether he put his name in the Goblet of Fire, in this movie Dumbledore nearly gave him a damn heart attack. 😂
@@_jolie_ No. He directed the movie. But he had little to no knowledge of the book, and didn't bother reading it until he somehow got the position of becoming director. He also cut out large bits from the script, and added long pointless action sequences instead. The guy even thought it was a Bollywood film before directing it, he has no clue unlike the previous directors. I could ramble on and do a full essay, but if you're interested I'd highly recommend watching Movie Flame's essay he did of the film: ua-cam.com/video/k8ogfjOxTEU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MovieFlame
I like it too but it's a little bit disappointment because it does not include: Neville's emotional scene Molly's fear Explanation at the end of the 'thing'
honestly though, i feel sorry for the patil sisters who went with harry and ron to the dance...imagine being 14, being excited for the school dance, getting asked by the famous guy and his friend in your year and being all excited for the dance...and then both boys are extremely mopey the whole time, cant really dance and just sit around all the time complaining. like....sounds terrible!
They had more fun in the books (well for Parvati atleast) happily. Because Harry actually danced with her for a while and they talked. He stopped because Ron was all salty about Hermione being with Krum, and in the end Parvati said it was fine and ended dancing with a Beauxbaton boy. Sadly can't say Padma had a good time though :(
Under this exact kind of comment on a different reaction to this movie, someone wrote a gross fanfic of snape and slytherin practicing the dancing, and this brought back that nasty memory, so thanks for that
Your ranking of Ron would probably change if you read the books - the movies did him a bit dirty. They give a lot of his good lines and traits to Hermione in the movies. She’s a little more whiny, anxious and nervous in the books (although she’s still a great character) and he’s a little less whiny and more levelheaded and supportive in the books (but he does still get the jealous fit, it’s just a little better written)
@@ms_scribbles ron was not perfect, but he wasnt this asshole he is in the movies... and like, in the last movie, ron was suposed to fight sirius, not cry like a baby...
So true they all have their annoying moments as well as good moments in the books so it evens them out. The movies didn’t do that great of a job showing all their strengths and weaknesses.
fun fact: in the dance scene, daniel radcliffe (harry) really didn’t know how to dance, cuz while the other actors were taking the dance lessons, he was filming the tournament scenes
I don't know, I've heard two versions of that 1- That he messed up the scene because he couldn't dance 2- that he messed up the scene because he was a good dancer and kept taking the lead an Harry wasn't supposed to know how to dance. Don't know which one is the right one....
If you missed it, one of Jr's charges was using the Cruciatus Curse on Frank and Alice Longbottom to the point of insanity. And then, as Moody, he does it on a spider in front of Neville. Also, she's coming. Can't wait for him to react to her :)
LOL, I could think of 3 female characters in the next movie that get introduced that you could be talking about. One of them amazing, one of them rage-inducing, and one of them just bat guano crazy.
@@Me-wk3ix It's not a spoiler anymore, so... Amazing: Luna Lovegood? Rage inducing: Dolores Umbridge? And Bat guano crazy: Bellatrix? 😅 That's how I'd rate them, anyways 😄
Book Ron as apposed to movie Ron is awesome. Not only is he a joker but he's also quite smart and skilled as a wizard, and he's a really good friend. The movies kinda did him a lil dirty by just making him "the funny one" and forgetting about all his other brilliant assets. However, I love him anyway LOL! Really looking forward to your next HP reaction. From what I've seen so far, I love your channel.
@@NewfieMovieReactions In the books it is also understood more why Ron gets angry. When he meets Harry, Harry tells him that it must be great to have 3 older brothers that went to Hogwarts before him, and Ron confesses that he actually has 5 older brothers. And that each of his brothers excels in something, so what is left for him? And Ron ends up becoming the best friend of Harry Potter, so in a certain part he is in the shadows of his friend (although Harry does not think that) My English sucks, and it's actually a bit more complicated than what I said but it would be a way to summarize.
@@shugaroonythe movies gave all his positive lines and character development to Hermione or they just don’t address them. That’s not giving a character justice. That’s bad screen writing and production.
A thing that was never brought up in the movie - and makes a lot of scenes seems non-sense - is that there is a cash prize for the Triwizard Champion. That's why this is such a big thing for the Weasleys, once they have huge problems with money.
a nice touch from the book is when Molly Weasley (ron’s mum) went to support harry because families were invited (i believe it was for the first task but i might be wrong)
Idk why but as a potter fan who’s watched the movies and read the books multiple times it’s just so entertaining seeing someone watch for the first time
Even though I'm a girl, I still, oddly enjoy when you say, "boys" at the end of your sentences. It feels like we're old buds watching a movie together 😆
Fun fact: The Parting of the Ways is the title of Chapter 36 in GoF, in which Barty Crouch is subjected to the Dementors Kiss. David Tennant portrays Barty in the movies. GoF was released in 2005 Coincidentally, The Parting of the Ways is also the title of the 2005 Doctor Who season finale in which the 10th Doctor-David Tennant- was introduced.
Currently 30 minutes in and awaiting the epiphany that Cedric isn’t Crouch Jr. and that he has completely besmirched Cedric Diggory’s good name in thinking a Hufflepuff could ever become a dark wizard, much less a Death Eater.
While the movie tells that Moody/Barty Jr. put Harry's name in the goblet, it doesn't explain why his name got chosen. In the book, they explain that Harry was entered under a school that was not one of the three competing. Therefore, he was the sole entry, making him the only choice.
This is a very important point because it drives home the fact that Harry is not some how magically more superior. The knowledge is one of many instances that keeps Harry grounded and humble-potential for a more successful leader in the future.
The movie also provides very little argument on why an unknown Deatheater should have been behind that while the book delivers this observation of a potent confuson charm as a strong argument that none of the students could have done it. I just realized that large pieces of the mystery box of the book is missing from the movie.
My 4 favorite things of the 4th book were all not taken into the movie 😅 1. The big Hogwartskitchen-houselve storyline. Where Hermoine finds out about that houseelves run the kitchen of Hogwarts and clean the rooms etc. without getting paid. Then she starts a initiative to free them, which leads to a lot of funny situations. (Also Dobby is working for money at Hogwarts and he is in the books actually the one who gives Harry the gillyweed) 2. The character of Ludo Bagman who works for the ministry in sports departement and is betting all the time. 3. The actual match at the world cup, where we really get to know what happens and how they win etc. 4. The amount of Weasleys we have in the books (for example Rons oldest brother visits the school in the book and Percy, who I don't think you noticed isn't in school anymore, is in the book as well). Fun Fact: the movie was directed by Mike Newell, who also directed 'four weddings and a funeral'... In an article I read the 4th HP got referred to as "Four champions and a funeral" 😂 Loved your reaction 😄, always great commentaries 👍, already excited for the next one 😉
Lord Voldemort = Tom Riddle junior ! The young boy in the second movie was a memory from him the age he was at hogwarts. Voldemort needed Harry to come to the graveyard his parents are buried, as the spell he uses to re-create himself a body requires blood of his enemy (Harry), bones of his father unknowingly given (Tom Riddle senior) and his servant‘s oblation willingly given (Peter Pettigrew‘s hand)
Voldemort technically was not Tom Riddle Jr. Voldemort was Tom Marvolo Riddle. You’re only a Jr. if you share your entire name with your father. Voldemort did not.
@@DarnHooligan that’s not what I meant. Voldemort’s father was Tom Riddle. Voldemort was Tom Marvolo* Riddle.he did not share his fathers name in totality, and therefore wasn’t Tom Riddle Jr. As well, Voldemort framed his uncle Morfin, not his grandfather Marvolo.
Great reaction! Your pop culture lesson from this one: learning to differentiate between Doctor Who and Edward from Twilight. lol. To be fair, they do look oddly similar in this film. (not so much in general)
They left out a few things from the plot, first, Dobby now works at Hogwarts, they have a whole staff of House Elves there in the kitchen and they also clean the common room. Hermione got really into House Elves rights in this book and started a foundation for them called S.P.E.W I forget exactly what it stands for something like Society for the Promotion of Evish Welfare. She started knitting hats and scarfs and sock for the elves and leaving them under trash so they'd pick them up and be set free, it got to the point where only Dobby cleaned Gryffindor common room. Dobby is the one that gave Harry the Gillyweed, because "Moody" staged a loud conversation with McGonagall and gave Dobby the idea. Also another house elf was introduced, Winky, she was Barty Crouch's elf. Harry met her at the Quidditch World Cup, she was sitting behind them "saving" a seat for crouch. But it was really Crouch Jr under an invisibility cloak. A quick back story, Jr was sent to azkaban for participating in the torturing the aurors (dark wizard catchers) Frank and Alice Longbottom (Neville's parents, makes the scene in class more twisted when you know the person responsible for their fate was basically taunting their son) but Crouch's wife was dying shortly after Jr went to azkaban and her last wish was to have her son freed, so Sr. agreed and son and mother took poly juice potion and turned into each other and switched places, so "Jr" died in azkaban but it was really his mother and he was kept in the house under an invisibility cloak and under the imperious curse so Sr could basically keep him on house arrest. But he soon began to fight it and break free. The house elf winky convinced Sr to take Jr to the Quidditch World Cup where he stole Harrys wand and cast the Dark Mark then all the ministry people appeared and shot stunning spells at Harry and company Sr ran off to the tree line and found Winky hit by the stunning spell and Harry's wand on her, Jr was next to her under the cloak (the two were magically tethered) so he fired winky because it appeared she was in possession of a wizards wand and she began working at Hogwarts too with Dobby. Also in the book Jr wasn't in Harry's dream in the beginning.
I had to re-upload this after making some edits in the final fight scene. Small 2 or 3 second pieces of audio caused copyright issues. Sorry if the last Voldemort scene seems clunky now. Hope you enjoy it!
Imagine if you were being shown someone being tortured in feint of you? It's odd to me that people don't get the implication of the scene with the spider. Simply put a person, in your head as that spider, and it's quite easy to see why the students are freaked out, the fact people have been controlled, killed and tortured by these curses would weigh heavily on your mind which was happening with Hermione and the students when they all fell silent after Mad eye almost made the spider kill itself, recognising that a person could go through that spell and also be made to kill themselves and understanding the seriousness of it. Many reactors go, it's just a spider, and I am like, no, it's what this spider represents... That's what scares the students.
That would probably be David Newell, the director who didn’t read the book, and wanted the Dragon to burn down the forbidden forest when in the book it didn’t even break from its chain.
This movie was the movie that changed everything about Harry Potter. I mean we had death before in the story and we did see ghosts of dead people but this is the first time they actually show you one of the students dying
Same. Affects me differently now at 32 than it did in my early 20's or late teens or whenever I first saw it. Despite the fact that I don't have children.
it affected Neville because his parents, Aurors like Moody, were tortured under the cruciatus curse so bad that they ended up permanently in the wizarding hospital St. Mongos. So its especially cruel to Neville seeing what his parents faced, even if its on a spider.
I'd definitely recommend reading the books. This particular story makes much more sense after reading the book. This story brings to mind the events of this week. All of us need to stand up against the darkness.
Not sure if it is ever explicitly stated in the films, but Nevilles parents were tortured into madness by the Cruciatus Curse. His parents don't recognise him and they're in an Asylum. That's why Neville freaked out when he saw the curse being performed 🙁
Not really.....it is poorly explained in the movie so non book readers may not pick up on what actually happened to Neville's parents from just watching the movies
The beginning is better explained in the books. The old man was the gardener of the Riddle Family when he was younger. (Voldemorts Dad he never knew and his fathers parents.) one night a young boy was seen walking around the village. Nobody had ever seen him before or after this day but the next day the dead bodies of the riddles where discovered. No signs for a breaking and not even any sign of a fight or any damage in the bodies. The muggle police assumed it was Frank Brice (the old man) and arrested him. But they couldn’t explain how the riddles died because like I said there was no damage on the bodies. They where perfectly fine except for being dead and had not a single wound on their body so Frank was released. He then returned to the house and kept guarding it until new owners arrived but they never stayed long. He also was basically alone for this whole time because the whole village thought he’s a murderer and thought him returning to the home was proof for it.
Ahh, ive loved this movies for years but never really read the books. Now it makes more sense in Deathly Hallows? when theyre together! not that it's important haha
@@dylansmith1042 Maybe look into some audiobooks, if you don't have the time to read them. There's a lot that the movies just drop or don't bother with explaining, Fleur's relationship with Bill being one of the very minor ones.

I haven’t read the books in forever so he might be mentioned, but Cedric was never mentioned before because he’s so far above Harry’s class and in another house. It would be highly unusual Harry to interact with him for this reason except in quidditch.
@@EmmetRoberts true he was never named, but book lovers (*knee?? WTH autocorrect, knew) immediately that the Hufflepuff Seeker struck by lightning was Cedric. Also now that I think about it, I need to re read PoA. I don't think he was struck by lightning. Because I'd imagine sick bay and with no reserves, how did the game even end??? In the maze, Krum was under the Imperio spell, controlled by Barty Crouch Jr. His mission was to take out all of the other champions, in order to have Harry be the only one get to the cup and be transported to the graveyard alone. It's such a damn shame Harry ended up helping Cedric. He would've been alive and safe along Krum and Fleur if he left him behind... 😕
When the spider was being tortured Neville was upset because his parents were tortured to insanity by Death Eater (Voldemort's followers) they're now not much more than a shell.
Ron acts like almost any other teenager would if they were best friends with Harry Potter. I’d say he does pretty well at being a consistently AWESOME best friend and doesn’t get enough credit for it. He’s THE BEST CHARACTER .. Also I wanted to punch something every single time you mistakenly placed Cedric at the Riddle house. RIP Cedric ❤️❤️
@@NewfieMovieReactions watched all of your jurassic Park reactions last night for all of the movies I need to slow down. However just discovered your reaction channel to music so going there now
Hello again. I am back with more details for you. The hardcover of this book is 749 pages, somewhere around double the size of the first book so there are lots and lots and lots of subplots that are left out of this movie. Way more than the others. The fact that you miss out on actually watching the quidditch World Cup is criminal IMO Not addressed in the movie: The dark mark was used by Voldemort’s death eaters. They would display it above a location where they had killed. That is why it causes so much panic and why it is illegal to cast. Not super clear-he learns a summoning spell to summon his broom from his dormitory to ward off the dragon and eventually has an amicable relationship with Krum chatting about quidditch. there is a $1000 galleon prize for the winner of the tri-wizard tourney and at the end of the book Harry gives it to the twins for the joke shop they want to open (they spend much of this book trying out new prank spells and joke sweets on students. Including an epic scene at the Dursley’s when they come to pick Harry up for the tri-wizard tournament they “accidentally” drop some sweets that Dudley “happens” to find, aptly named ton-tongue toffee that makes your tongue turn purple and grow out of your mouth. (You would seriously love them) Harry says something to the effect “we all could probably use a little more laughter in the future” they get the money under the condition that they have to buy Ron some new dress robes ;-) Rita Skeeter flits around all year writing nasty untrue stories about people, reveals to everyone that Hagrid is half giant in a newspaper article. Giants are extremely violent and dangerous so people are naturally fearful of Hagrid after that. Letters pour into the school insisting upon his removal, and Madame Maxime refuses to admit she is also half giant (for obvious reasons. Look how they treated Hagrid) Jk Rowling addresses discrimination at length in this series. And it really comes full force in the 4th book as I will explain next. Dobby has a job at Hogwarts now. He spent the last year trying to find work but as he doesn’t want to work for free as most house elf’s do so he can’t find work. Dumbledore hires him and pays him to work in the kitchens where Harry meets him next (thank you marauders map). This is where we realize Hogwarts has the largest group of house elves in Great Britain. Hermione decries slavery and creates a group called “S.P.E.W.” The society for the protection of elvish welfare. She is made fun of for this as everyone knows houselves WANT to work and they find it the highest form of disgrace to receive monetary compensation for their work. (If you are getting white American view of slavery in the early 1800s you are bang on) You see discrimination because of fear and a huge sense of wizarding superiority (you should get major WW2 hitler vibes) So this theme is really brought to the forefront in the 4th and although it is not necessary for the rest of the movies to happen, it brings the fight deeper and more relatable to our modern world. Rita spends the second half of the year spreading rumors that Harry is an attention hungry delinquent that seeps into the wizarding community and causes a great amount of distrust so when Harry says Voldemort is back, no one believes him. Dumbledore has an audience with the minister of magic Cornelius fudge who straight up tells dumbledore they cannot say Voldemort is back because it risks the peace of the people he is governing. He chooses to ignore the reality and Harry and Dumbledore become an enemy of the ministry. This is explored in the 5th movie, but it’s more-glossed over and it’s never really explored in detail the fear Fudge has toward Dumbledore. When the previous minister stepped down there was a large campaign to make Dumbledore minister of magic-he declined and fudge took office, but he never forgot that huge support Dumbledore had, and it is a seed that grows. And yes. As you mentioned at the start of the movie. Harry needs a haircut. I dub this movie “Harry Potter and the bad hair” And yes, JRR Tolkien is a major influence for Rowling. Keep em comin! My kiddos were so excited when I told them a new one dropped ☺️ Ummmm sorry for the novel. 🥰🥰🥰
In the books Ron has some extremely conflicted feelings when it comes to Hermione and Victor Krum. He has unexpressed feelings for Hermione, and idolizes Krum. He's torn between wanting to curse Krum and ask him for his autograph. You really need to read the books. There is SO MUCH in them that didn't make its way into the movies, none more so than this one.
This was dropped from the movies, but Rita Skeeter (the journalist) was an animagus. She would turn into a beetle to get negative interviews because she keeps getting banned from the school. Hermione figures her out and trapped her in a jar until she promises to stop writing hit pieces. Not a spoiler for the movies, but she makes several reaperances in the later books. I'm looking forward to your reaction to the fith movie. I think you will get a kick out of it.
I never seen anybody think that Cedric was the guy from the first scene lmao. I’m halfway through the reaction. I’m anxious to see your reaction to when Cedric dies and how confused you are lmao
The reason the unforgivable curse effects Neville so much is because his parents got that cure used on them and now their pretty much what we’d call a “vegetable” so he lives with his grandmother.
Fun/creepy fact: The actress who played Moaning Myrtle was actually 37 years old at the time of filming... It gives a new light to her creeping on a 14 year old Harry Potter in the bath tub
@@inkeriananas Yes, it did happen in the books. Taken from the Goblet of Fire book itself: Myrtle: "..I'd try the egg in the water. That's what Cedric Diggory did." "Have you been spying on him, too?" said Harry indignantly. What d'you do, sneak up here in the evenings to watch the Prefects take baths?" "Sometimes", said Myrtle, rather slyly.
I grew up in a religion that also didn't allow dancing (because it let to pregnancy - the lambada was a thing back then) so my pastor wrote me a note that got me out of square dancing when every other 10 year old was forced to participate, which I appreciated. We also had "alternative prom", which had no dancing but was way more fun. We had the fancy dress up for a formal dinner on Friday night. The we all changed for games and stayed overnight (girls/boys slept in separate areas of course) and then the next day we'd go to an amusement park. Way better than my friend's prom experiences from what they said.
In the books, Durmstrang and Beauxbatons (the other wizard schools) are both coed. I hate that they changed it in the movie, it's as if they're saying the only way a girl could be chosen for the tournament is if she's from an all girls school. And in the books, Fleur is much more badass than in the film, even if her portrayal by jkr is still bordering on misogyny.
@@flugsven She's great at writing female characters who are both capable of being remarkably strong and still emotional and vulnerable. I can't name any other work of fiction with so many inspiring heroines. I think that says all you need to know.
@@MsMaggyW I know that, and I love them, we just see this from different points of view. And also this wizarding world mirrors our world, and our world isn't particulary feministic.

But alright, I guess.
The small professor Hagrid stabs with his fork is Flitwick. He appears in the last movie as the Frog Choir director. He is the Charms professor, and has a very different look in the first movie (swish and flick), with whispy white hair, jaw whiskers and a very pinched face - he is part Goblin and looked more Goblin-like in the first movie. @Timinator As American seems very weird to me as well. I went to catholic school for 9 years and Harry Potter was one of the most popular books in library that often was sold out when book sale event came around. Most of teachers and parents were just so happy to have kids interested in books. Cedric is new to the films, but in the books Harry plays against him in quidditch in the 3rd year.
And you do see him in the thirds movie during the quidditch match, but it’s not Robert Pattinson.
Pretty boy Diggory
Your ranking of Ron would probably change if you read the books - the movies did him a bit dirty. They give a lot of his good lines and traits to Hermione in the movies. She’s a little more whiny, anxious and nervous in the books (although she’s still a great character) and he’s a little less whiny and more levelheaded and supportive in the books (but he does still get the jealous fit, it’s just a little better written)

Thanks! yeah a lot of people say Ron is different in the books. In this movie he showed his jealous side.
And Ron ends up becoming the best friend of Harry Potter, so in a certain part he is in the shadows of his friend (although Harry does not think that)

@@Ms_Ria maybe it was cus of the dark of first scene in riddle house and at quidditch world cup
Currently 30 minutes in and awaiting the epiphany that Cedric isn’t Crouch Jr. and that he has completely besmirched Cedric Diggory’s good name in thinking a Hufflepuff could ever become a dark wizard, much less a Death Eater.
I mean, *I've* never seen Robert Pattinson and David Tennant in the same room. HAVE YOU?
My 4 favorite things of the 4th book were all not taken into the movie 😅
1. The big Hogwartskitchen-houselve storyline. Where Hermoine finds out about that houseelves run the kitchen of Hogwarts and clean the rooms etc. without getting paid. Then she starts a initiative to free them, which leads to a lot of funny situations. (Also Dobby is working for money at Hogwarts and he is in the books actually the one who gives Harry the gillyweed)
In an article I read the 4th HP got referred to as "Four champions and a funeral" 😂

Man the books are good!
I had to re-upload this after making some edits in the final fight scene. Small 2 or 3 second pieces of audio caused copyright issues. Sorry if the last Voldemort scene seems clunky now. Hope you enjoy it!
is this your favourite Harry Potter movie so far? loved the video btw
Time for another rewatch !
Hermione tells Ron don't pick me as a last resort and Rons jealousy over it. You: Still thinking Harry and Hermione might be together. Me:???

Hello again. I am back with more details for you.
The hardcover of this book is 749 pages, somewhere around double the size of the first book so there are lots and lots and lots of subplots that are left out of this movie. Way more than the others.
The fact that you miss out on actually watching the quidditch World Cup is criminal IMO
Not addressed in the movie:
The dark mark was used by Voldemort’s death eaters.
(You would seriously love them)
Harry says something to the effect “we all could probably use a little more laughter in the future” they get the money under the condition that they have to buy Ron some new dress robes ;-)
Rita Skeeter flits around all year writing nasty untrue stories about people, reveals to everyone that Hagrid is half giant in a newspaper article. Giants are extremely violent and dangerous so people are naturally fearful of Hagrid after that. Letters pour into the school insisting upon his removal, and Madame Maxime refuses to admit she is also half giant (for obvious reasons. Look how they treated Hagrid)
Jk Rowling addresses discrimination at length in this series.
I dub this movie “Harry Potter and the bad hair”
And yes, JRR Tolkien is a major influence for Rowling.
Keep em comin! My kiddos were so excited when I told them a new one dropped ☺️
Ummmm sorry for the novel.
🥰🥰🥰
in the book the moody double actually teaches the class how to fight the first unforgivable curse
In the books Ron has some extremely conflicted feelings when it comes to Hermione and Victor Krum. He has unexpressed feelings for Hermione, and idolizes Krum. He's torn between wanting to curse Krum and ask him for his autograph. You really need to read the books. There is SO MUCH in them that didn't make its way into the movies, none more so than this one.
ah, the movie the fandom fondly calls ''Harry Potter and the year nobody got a haircut''

@@MsMaggyW I know that, and I love them, we just see this from different points of view. And also this wizarding world mirrors our world, and our world isn't particulary feministic.
@@flugsven Our world isnt feministic? :D Where do you live? In the middle east?
@@smartasfck Bold of you to assume “our world” (= western world) is feminist, when we still don’t have equal pay, women are underrepresented in high-ranking positions, menstrual hygiene products are still taxed as “luxury items”, women are asked “what they were wearing” or “if they provoked/seduced the man” after they were raped and are still discriminated against in many areas of life because they’re women.
There's no real explanation given for his radical change of appearance.
I literally love your reactions every time some romantic interests of the characthers appears in this movies lmao
24:40. I thought Mike from potterless thinking Ludo Bagman was behind all of this was crazy. How could precious Cedric be capable of such evils XD.
30:58 I always assumed the story with religious schools in English-speaking countries were just rumors... but I think you are the third Harry Potter Reaction UA-camr who said that he wasn't allowed to watch it because of their school 😅 I can't believe it, ngl
I almost wasn't allowed to read the books growing up in a semi religious family, luckily my teacher in elementary school read us the first two books.
@@Brigadier88 I wasn’t at a religious school, but my parents still weren’t stoked when I’d told them I watched Harry Potter with one of my friends. If it had been required reading, they *definitely* would’ve thought the school was trying to teach us black magic.
I can tell you that in England, Church of England schools don't care, I work for one and all the Harry Potter books are in the library. They view it as a morality tale about courage and loyalty.
@@sammygirl5835 Exactly and anyone claiming they are anything else are just ignorant. But then when is religion never ignorant...
@Timinator As American seems very weird to me as well. I went to catholic school for 9 years and Harry Potter was one of the most popular books in library that often was sold out when book sale event came around. Most of teachers and parents were just so happy to have kids interested in books. The funny thing to me is how many of books I read growing being forced for school that have been banned like Huckleberry Finn being first comes to mind. It wasn't until got older and reread for fun that I fully appreciated them.
a couple lines of the song were cut from the book
"after that the prospect is black
too late its gone it won't come back"
implying the friends taken will die
I remember seeing this in theaters and feeling like an absolute genius for figuring out the twist. After Snape mentioned polyjuice and I saw Mad Eye kept going that weird tongue thing I yelled out OH IT'S HIM!!! Some smart ass said, "someone hasn't read the books yet yall" and people laughed 🥺🥺. I read them after that lol.
I love when vildemorts followers attacked at world cup
"Omg skeletons"😂😂
lol "Give her a break boy she's dead." I swear you have the best reactions on UA-cam ;)
I really wish this movie would’ve shown what Hermione did to Rita Skeeter!
I literally just finished watching the Phelps twins (who play Fred and George) interviewing Katie Leung (who plays Cho) and talking about this movie, and this pops up in my feed right after. So wholesome.
Thank you! I was watching it and went away to do something, came back couldn't find it and thought I'd imagined it lol. Love your reactions!!
When you’re waiting the entire time for Newfie to realize Cedric is not Barty Crouch 😂
Voldemort didn't kill Cedric, Peter did on Voldemorts orders lol.
Using Voldimort's wand to do so. Just pointing this out in case your commenting about Cedric showing up as a ghost. If you're correcting the VP on something, then just ignore this comment.
@@genostellar I'm saying the script was wrong, Harry and Dumbledore say Voldemort killed Cedric when it was Peter.
@@ItApproaches In his orders... if there is anything about the movie that is stupid/problematic, then this is certaintly not one of those
@@notexactly9145 I have no interest in the whole silly "problematic" issues between the movies and books.
@@ItApproaches Well, me neither so thats good then. I guess ^^
the actor who plays Barty Crouch Senior, is Roger Lloyd Pack who is in the Vicar of dibley
After the ferret incident: yet more proof of just how perfect Dame Maggie Smith is as McGonagall
I went on a binge of watching your reaction to the Harry Potter series and MAN am I glad I found you! You speak so well in the fact that you're actually engaged and interested in learning about the lore!
Fun fact: Ron goes through the Kubler-ross model of the 5 stages of grief the night of the ball.
Denial: "no, it can't be"
Anger: "no, I would not care to join you and Victor."
Depression: just sitting there moping.
Bargaining: trying to talk her out of liking Krum.
Acceptance: I forget, but probably just going to bed and stopping caring.
Not to sound obnoxious but after watching some of your videos I truly believe that you're the kind of person that thinks every person in the world is good or genuine. Not that its a bad thing. I can really sense you're a good and genuine person tbh. But the way you react sometimes gives me the impression you don't believe that there are actual horrible or corrupted people in the people. Lol
Nonetheless I enjoyed every RV you made. Keep it up. 👏🏻
The demonstration of the torture curse affected Neville the most because his parents were tortured to insanity under that curse, hence why he only mentions his grandma so far in the movies
If you are wondering who that guy is talking to voldermort, that would be barty crouch Jr played by David tennant.
"Since when did this school care about safety."
Truer words couldn´t be spoken. :D
Not him saying how emotional they got in this movie, it's all even worse from here 🤣🤣🤣
Not gonna lie you have got some chandler personality (if you don’t know he is FRIENDS character ) and I freaking love it😁💙♥️
Your shirt is really great! I like this a lot ... and of course you ✌🏼
The Scene with Filch running always reminds me of Mel Brooks " The Ship is to Big. If i walk, the Movie will be over."
I love when he says Harry friggin Potter 😂
Listening to you keep calling him Harry Freakin' Potter keeps me singing The Team Starkid song from their HP musicals.
Aside from the occasional song break I am loving these reactions.... and loving the song breaks too.
Can't wait for your reaction to the 5th one, my favorite of the movies (and books)!
Flitwick (the teacher next to Hagrid who got stabbed with the fork) is half-goblin
Always look forward to more Harry Freaking Potter with you! You have the greatest reactions and I love your theories. I have a Harry Potter marathon almost every month (it's an addiction by now), and still you point out stuff I never noticed. Oh my gawd, freaking awesome! :D
Professor Flitwick teaches charms.
Mad-eye Moody actor was the friend in Braveheart.
50:52 Dumby just said that it was impossible to bring deads to life, so no, there's no necromancy things in Harry Potter. Even inferi are not exactly necromancy, but them only seem like
great reaction! I enjoy your music reaction channel and just found this one by recognizing you from your thumbnail. great job!
I never commented your videos, I only have watched the HP ones and I love how honest you are, and so .. i don't know.. espontaneous! I was so happy to see this video was on I did a happy dance! Gonna watch it now :D
Thank you so much!!
I always cry when Cedric's father cries.
