Apparently, everyone that works for the TVA is a variant, they've just been brainwashed or something. That was one of the big reveals in episode 3.

Here’s my theory: there never WAS a multiverse war, the timekeepers just want to have an iron fist over existence by destroying all of the multiverses except the weakest one, so that if the people in that one multiverse tried to defeat them, it would be impossible.
And the war they WERE talking about was the war between every multiverse in existence and the timekeepers.
The only problem with that is figuring out how the timekeepers could defeat an infinite amount of people with superpowers

I'm not so sure about that, the multiverse still exists but the timekeepers make sure that all the alternate characters follow their marvel universe counterpart timeline wise. If that makes sense.

So he would be completely different we established that so seeing this we could say that they different people because they have different drives they see things In a different light so in my opinion they are a different person

MattPat, the Infinity stone Paperweights are actually an easy explanation: The Infinity stones have no power outside of their own reality. Simply put, per comic lore, if all the heroes took their Infinity stones, and handed them to the reality to the right, there would be no threat from them.

What do you mean by “reality”? The way I see it, the infinity stones affect all realities in the third dimension(hence why the Avengers can go to other timelines to use the infinity stones on their own timeline). However, wherever the TVA lies is outside of the third dimension and thus outside of time.
@@bensantos7361 Each universe has their own infinity stones. Infinity stones don't have power outside their universe of origin. It's like they are tuned to different frequencies. The TVA is located in a pocket dimension of their own outside of the universe, no infinity stone works there.
Infinity stones can function in the same timeline, it doesn't matter if in the past, present, or the future (that's what happened in infinit war II).
All the infinity stones in the TVA came from pruned branches from the same time line, maybe they all can work in the sacred timeline, it deppends if they are still considered as being originated from that timeline.

We've already seen infinity gems from other timelines being used in the main MCU timeline in Avengers Endgame, it's possible the TVA can use them as well in other timelines. It seems like the rules for the multiverse are different between the comics and movies, especially if it's true that there isn't a multiverse at this time in the MCU.

pretty sure he got an early viewing of it. a lot of youtubers who make content based off of movies or tv shows will get early access from disney so they can create content that releases simultaneously and drums up conversation (and hence free advertising).

I read in the MCU Fandom wikia's page about the Darkhold that some of WandaVision's writers are sure the book on that show IS the same one seen on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Runaways. Also, it's a magic book that changes its insides for whoever reads it. Changing its outer cover makes sense to me.

I’m guessing he used the same thing the Timekeepers do. He sees all possible outcomes of the future.
He had the time stone... Canonically, infinity stones only work in the reality they were created in. So he could see all the possibilities of that timeline, and the one where they heroes won was the correct path the timeline was supposed to take. Basically, it's just a hugely complicated version of hindsight. The idea that you can only truly see the other choices AFTER you made the choice you did.

so here's a little mini-theory: the sacred timeline doesn't actually exist.
why? well, according to the TVA there is ONLY ONE way the universe plays out... but somehow there's different versions of characters still.
now theres a couple ways to sort that out:
-the multiverse still exists and what the TVA is actually doing is making sure that none of the multiverses branch out and interact with each other, but of course the TVA can interact with all of them, since they exist outside of all the universes (but you could still argue that the timekeepers have a favorite timeline and TECHNICALLY that's the sacred one, but honestly that's just a bit of semantics)
-going off of what matpat said about kang the conqueror rewriting time to always win... kang's one of the timekeepers, and the single sacred timeline is still the only one, but its not actually so sacred, as the timekeepers constantly rewrite it. and the reason we see different version of characters is because the TVA exists outside of space and time, and thus has access to every version of that timeline that keeps getting rewritten.

I feel like Ravonna is running the whole show and the timekeepers aren’t actually real. She uses the idea of the timekeepers to get away with everything. I’m also not buying into the whole “there’s only one timeline and everything Is predetermined” thing. I think she made the TVA so she could mess around with the timeline and won’t get caught. The TVA workers seem oblivious to this though as Mobius was genuinely asking Ravonna about the timekeepers. The whole thing of comparing it to a cult makes a lot of sense to me and matches up with my theory.
So maybe the Time Keepers are Kang, Immortus and Rama Tutt, that would explain it all.

Pretty cool metaphysical analysis. I personally like to think of the time keepers as being representations of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and a 3rd who was integral in bringing Marvel comics back from the brink of collapse, the judges and higher ups in the TVA are writers and what not in the comics, and the hunters are the fans who go on about how the movies aren't like the comics, which makes them bad. Which I guess would make the variants the various actors, directors and screenwriters who bring their own stories and angles to the universe.

The 'Long ago...' doesn't mean the past events in the current MCU timeline (2023 and before). The TVA exists in a pocket bubble at the 'ends' of time. What they may consider 'Long ago' may indicate an event that is still yet to unfold in the current MCU timeline.

doctor strange 1 actually mentions the multiverse, they use it to refer to the collection of various dimensions in the single universe, IE, where dormamu came from, and the line "news of the ancient ones death will spread through the multiverse" at the end of the movie. MoM will most likely deal with this kind of multiverse, considering what we know of the plot is its another dormamu-like being trying to invade, rather than dealing with multiple timelines of the same events
