Live talent isn’t nearly as good as it was in the 70s-90s. So many bands are made up of people that can’t record their own music or play it live without major crutches. It makes you really appreciate a truly live band with great chemistry. I only wish I could’ve seen some of the great jazz bands from the 50s-60s play. No phones, no screaming, just attentive audiences focused on the conversation between band members.

While I agree with most of what you say for some bands and genres its simply necessary that they have stuff like extra instrumentation (orchestral parts, synths etc) in their music. Otherwise it doesnt work. They cant have all that played fully live for financial and logistical reasons. Which means their only option is to use tracks
