    One thing i always tell people trying to get sober, live life like you're sober while tapering off.. do things you'd do if you were sober so your brain can change its obsessive and adaptive chemistry. So when you finally quit, you have a life to live

    Ugh the waking up every day either feeling hungover or tired from lack of sleep everyday. I drink around 3 beers a day to up to 7 per night on the weekends. And I'm not talking about bud light or any other small % alcohol content beer from the U.S but Eroupian IPA ranging from 6 to near 10% alcohol. I stay away from all liquors. I understand the multiple amount of beers equals to taking shots of liquor. Therefore knowing alcohol is the same in drinks to damage body it causes. Hope these videos help me quit for good because talking to a counselor will never do me good.

      @@GettingSoberAgain Originally my reason was to "channel my inner bad ass", I felt like I was phoning it in, that drinking was keeping me from being the best that I could be. Health hint: I have heard that getting drunk on a regular basis makes it easy for your body to decide to make new fat cells at double speed.
    That may be the reason for larger waistlines on regular drinkers. More fat around the waist than in other places increases the chances for diabetes.

      Big 💰💰💰 indeed!

    • @gwillis01
      @gwillis01 Рік тому +1

      There are many parts to the mountain of money that you have to spend on recovering from a DUI. 1) Lawyer fee for the court appearance 2) paying for a ride to get to the courthouse
      3) higher car insurance premiums because you are now in the high risk driver category. 4 ). recovery fee to release your car from the penalty tow lot if you abandoned your car while drunk in an area not legally available for cars which caused the local police department to take it to the penalty tow lot.
      There may be other costs I can't think of right away but these are the ones that came to mind first.

    I don't have issues with alcoholism, but I am so sensitive to how it affects my hydration and my body. I bloat easily and it makes me feel so sluggish. I truly want to be sober, or if anything, drink only when there is a fun occasion, like trying a new brewery. Beyond that, alcohol makes me feel awful. This really encourages me to start going mostly sober.

    I been drinking all my life since I was 15 and I'm 39 now I would steal beer out of my dads ice chest if I knew than what I know now I would have stayed clear of that problem. I thought the whole time it was helping me but it was the problem I just couldn't see clear enough I would drink to kill the hangover from the day before it is a ruthless cycle over and over Sundays where the worse because I knew Monday was going to be bad because I couldn't drink to kill the hangover because of work if I made it in I started missing more and more to the point I knew I was close to losing my job and my family. I blacked out 3 months ago and the wife gave me a opinion to choose her and my two beautiful babies are the poison well I choose my family and it has been a blessing I thank God for getting that monkey off my back it hurt me in all kinds of ways.if I had the money I spent on it I probably could retire I know I was spending at least 300 a weekend and that's on the low side not to include the week
