Spectricide works well. I’ll spot-treat the weeds with 2-3 passes. The chemical needs time to stick and absorb into the weed leaves. Watch the weather and do not apply if rain is in the forecast. Do not water and do not mow for at least several days. If the chemical has enough time to be absorbed into the weed, it will get into the roots and kill the weed in a matter of a week or two. Reapply if needed. I always have a few stubborn weeds left over that need another treatment.
I thought I’d try it and have heard multiple tips on using it. Apply in the right temperature and do not water afterwards should be the common tips known in my opinion
Booyah! That's my kinda price on my kinda product! Thanks for that bud. I appreciate the shout out. You know I support this video's message. Great video and information as always. Great results too. More proof that this stuff works. We deserve a thank you from Spectracide!👊That ending 😂
100% agree - that stuff works - I used it just before aeration and overseeding last fall and it kill every weed in my lawn to get ready for a new lawn.
The results have been spectacular thus far. I still go out and check on it and I don't think I'll need another treatment. With the little that's left, you can barely tell.
Got the Spectracide Weed Stop for hose-end sprayers, also usable in pressure tank sprayers. No workie. It has the 3 key ingredients, but apparently has only a miniscule amount of each one, so it looks to me like it can be less expensive, because it's mostly just water.
Yep, SE region Bermuda lawn. Have to use double the label amount to really do any good and going heavier than that still wouldn't hurt. Doesn't do much to the grass except dry it out a little for a few days but bounces right back. I also have one of those cut once a month neighbors...never ending battle and I have a hardcore calendar I follow every year. But you're right, it's water but they have to do that for their own protection against your every day diy.
I applied to my bermuda grass 15 days ago and it did NOTHING. None of the weeds got even yellowish. My main purpose was to kill henbit. Neighbors do not take care and I am tired to deal with that, I am selling the house, otherwise I would get rid of all the grass, close the property and plant fruit trees and vegetables. No one can eat grass, at least not me!!!
I applied round up 32 Oz northern spray and here are my observations. 1. It said it covers 5000 sq ft but barely covered half the area. 2. It slowed down crabgrass but never fully eliminated. 3. Really really slow on clover (I mean really slow either it slowed down the spread or never fully removed). 4. I am not sure but i feel it burned by grass and hopefully it will recover by next spring. 5. If you want to get rid of weeds fast, spraying is not the solution. 6. Lastly, there was no other spray with good ratings (spectracide was 3 stars with 1000+ reviews at homedepot and that’s a poor rating compared to 4 stars on round up) that said it will take care of crabgrass, clover and dandelion except for round up. Let me know if you know any other spray that takes care of all the 3 weeds.
I’m doing the same too and it’s working out for me. If I keep my lawn thick it’s not hard to manage pulling weeds about every month for me. It takes me only like 10 minutes to do. I’m also using the granular from spectricide on the side where my house meets my neighbor who has lots of weeds.

I Sprayed some of the spectracide in there as it is being overrun by dandilions and crabgrass. within an hour I noticed the crabgrass start to yellow...Dandilions not yet affected. I apologize for any confusion in my video. I mentioned that both Mesotrione and Spectricide will not kill the QUACKgrass I have, both will kill CRABgrass.
