Yea the clovers blend in with the grass. Clovers are not really bad for the lawn they actually have many benefits for the soil and lawn. I was just showing a demonstration on how to treat them for people that would want to get rid of them but overall they don't bother me. Thank you for watching I'm glad I could help
What i noticed when in NY was the concentrate versions of Spectracide and Ortho Weed b Gone with crabgrass control are NOT available - but Ready To Use (pre-mix) versions are...a more expensive way to go - but if you can't access the orange top concentrated versions there is still an option...it could be worse...you could ve in Ontario Canada where our version of Ortho Weed b Gone is Iron based and a bottle half the size costs 3x as much and requires you to use 4x as much for worse outcomes...😢

This stuff works. In the spring time when its cool it seems like it doesn't work, but it works better in warmer weather quicker. I have a little bit left and clover popping up in my yard. Gotta get after it.
@@LawnAmateur I will try to spot spray tomorrow and report. When I used it in cold temps it almost took a week to see wilting. Now we are in the upper 80s hope to see faster results.

This video came right in time. I sprayed my weed with Spectracide Weed Stop. It's been a week and they started to shrivel. Will they eventually deteriorate all the way down. Or do I need to now cut them down with a weed trimmer? This is my first time ever trying to kill weeds and absolute beginners knowledge. I probably didn't spray enough too maybe.
What would happen if I used a pre-emergent? because I'm getting a lot of new crab grass especially after applying ammonium sulfate , the hose end spray is not killing it fast enough!.
You can use a pre emergent but the problem is when you have those bald spots after killing the crabgrass the pre emergent will fight off the grass seed germination.

I was wondering what the hell is going on with all these weeds showing up outta no where, and I looked beyond the fence... what I was was nothing but COMPLETE HORROR....... some of these weeds could hold a fuckin' tire swing, man. it was like Jurassic Park!!!! so its all coming in from under the fence. it was so brutal to witness, that I'm considering calling the city department on them. but this review should help me keep everything in check and at least in moderation. cheers, and thanks again.
@LawnAmateur. I have Spectricide, does pretty well, but hasn't killed my crabgrass. I sprayed the hose end & RTU, & only killed 50% of it. Unless I put multiple apps, then it's 75%
Hi. I used it one time on my lawn and it killed the weeds. I bought another one after 6 months at Lowes but I noticed that the instructions say not to use it on st Augustine grass, and that is what I have. Do you think I can use it anyway?
Quick question, using these hose on sprayers with herbicide contents don't seem to be a viable option if I have small kids and use the same hose to fill their swimming pool. Correct? Other than that great videos!
You can use the same hose if you're unsure about using the same hose you can let the hose run water through it for a few to flush it out before you fill up the pool or you can buy a back flow preventer. They're sold at home depot and lowes. Thank you I hope this helped

I have used Tenacity in the past and it turns the weeds white. I am not interested in my TTTF yard looking ugly with white patches again haha!
Yes I can do an update video. When the weeds die I normally mow them out. I like tenacity its a great weed killer but you definitely have to be careful because it will turn your lawn white. Thank you for your support
What area of the country do you live? Are you in a cool season area where TTTF can thrive? What type of fescue seed did you use? I would like to try it in my yard. I can't get fescue to grow in the shady areas.
I live in the northeast so its a cool season lawn zone. I use Greenview turf type tall fescue. It grows well in shady areas also. They have a shady mixture thats what I use.
How many times can you use this product in a year? I have used it twice this year, but I still have some grassy weeds. I noticed I get better results with the ready to use product, but lawn is too big to do that, at least for me. I’m interested in overseeding this fall, but should I address the grassy weeds first?
The directions actually said NOT to bag the clippings for 3 mows after. I think they want the herbicide to go back to the lawn and do its thing. You mentioned the opposite so just wanted to let you know. Love your videos tho.
I have 4 of these hose end sprayers that I bought for my 10,000sq. ft. lawn but I recently purchased a Ryobi 4 Gallon chemical sprayer and wanted to know if I can add this liquid into my new sprayer

Thank you! We just had new grass seed planted and the company didn't tell us what type of grass it is. I'm thinking it's some sort of fescue based on pictures. The grass has been growing for about 4 weeks, but the weeds are already taking over. Can I use Spectricide on new grass? I dont want to kill the grass, but the weeds look terrible already.

How much chemical is coming out while doing this? I sprayed for ten minutes and it didn’t go under the line I started on at all.. and yes I made sure it was open and no safety was on. 😂 I thought it was the bottle so I bought another one and same thing.. I might just be special haha
🤦🏾♂️🤣 This bottle tends to move a little slower when dispensing the chemical. But if it didn't move at all, check the straw inside the bottle. Sometimes, they get clogged from sitting on the selves at the stores for a while
I had to kill off my lawn due to the drought, I was foolish to listen to the governor and kill off my rear yard. It is a weed garden now, I have a 200 sq ft Tif Tuf lawn, but the other 800 sq ft are weeds, I will give this a go
We're in Eastern NC. They have only the yellow top here. Just sprayed the backyard, mostly centerpede grass, but liaded with weeds due to next-door neighbors spreading their weeds to my yard. Last week, I poured a 1 gallon refill into the hose spraye bottle, and it did nothing. I realized after the fact that these refills are pre-mixed. Therefore, the hose sprayer diluted the mix further, and it did practically nothing. I say practically because few weeds do show signs of dying, even with diluted mixture.
This spectracide can possibly handle the milkweed it may take a couple applications. I would cut the milkweed down to about 3inch height and spray it with the spectracide

I don't think this spectracide will kill savanna grass but it can kill plants and flowers

They'll continue to shrivel up and then you can either mow them out or pull them out if you want.

I never have that issue. It may take a second spray depending on what stage the crabgrass is at but it usually wipe out the crabgrass for me

You're only suppose to use this method 2x in a season. Yes kill the grassy weeds at much as you can before overseeding
After spraying the weed killer, do i have to pull the dead weeds out? or just let them be? because I got way too much weeds to be pulling out
Just let them be and then when they die you can just mow them out

Is it safer to use the granules, I have used this same product for two years, but seeing you with the PPE gear makes me nervous
Always use PPE when spraying these chemicals.

Not yet mow the new grass atleast 3 times before you put any weed killer on it because you can kill the new grass if it ain't strong enough yet.

Pets and people can reenter the grass after it dry. I like to wait a few days before I let my pets go back in the yard
