Thanks for the easy decision to leave the "fort's" contents where they were. I absolutely enjoy your passion for relic hunting and coins and gold , and I want you to know that the world needs way more of your enthusiasm, integrity, and positive thinking and expressions. I'm sure you have a bad day every now and then, but I wouldn't know it from anything I have seen . BRAVO !!!!
It is great you left the kids finds and coins. Unfortunately there are many who would have raided it. You are a great guy who was clearly raised properly.
Only if every kid could spend endless hours making forts/cabins in the woods. Kids today don't know what they are missing. Great videos man keep them coming!
That's because the media has scared every parent half to death about letting their kids do anything these days. Don't blame the children...I was allow to run around when I was a kid...but these days you see kids 12 years old hand cuffed to their parents.
I'm sure you've gotten really similar comments to this, however I'd love to point this out again. Thank you for such honest videos, you're very dedicated and we can all easily observe how much you enjoy detecting! This is probably one of my absolute favorite videos by you- the location is beautiful!
I think you were right to leave all as you found it, but a lot of comments seem to disagree. This is someone's collection, no matter how old they are, and they seem to be enjoying the stuff they found, it's not like it's all just piled in a heap. Why shouldn't they enjoy it this way, even though it's not in a glass case? Well done Nugget.
I found myself feeling like a little kid imagining playing out there with my brothers. That's the type of stuff we would get into in our childhood. I can just imagine the voices of them bragging about the things they found. It was when you opened the little wooden box with a very important buckle and some others treasure that I giggled like a little girl, thinking that those things might be valuable. 😄 thank you for sharing. Oh, and by the way. I am physically limited right now due to chronic, or rather ongoing painful illnesses, and just hearing your pleasant voice, and the crunching of the leaves beneath your feet, it's as if I can smell the out doors, and feel the sunshine on my face, so thank you for that.
There's enough evidences there to know those kids weren't there for a very long time, check with the property owners to see if you can clean the place up. Because it really is a treasure trove in plane sight. Great video Nugget, keep them coming...
Good for you not taking anything from the kids hut. I bet theyve had hours of fun rummaging and putting all that stuff together. It brought back memories of summer holidays of when I was a kid. A real treat to see.
Just imagine the hours of fun and imaginations running riot at that place. A woodland of dreams. There's some pretty interesting stuff scattered around there. I remember when I was younger , I used to love making my own forts. Indoors and Out . .
OMG i am laughing so hard right now. I am watching this while im at work so I had to go to another sceen really quick but the video was still rolling. Out of knowhere at 4:05 i thought he was like " Ohh theres a nice deer s***. LMAO
My grandmother has one of the Coca-Cola bottle openers nailed onto our back porch. Had no idea how old it could possibly be. When you're around certain objects your whole life you don't really think of things like that. Also glad to see these kids making an effort to retrieve all these great antiques!
Thank you this has been great it's like watching myself 35 years ago I'm now 51 an still have my jars of marbles an my some of my old bottles sold quite a few
Actually, I think it was kids. I have several young boys in my Boy Scout troop that would do that very type of thing this weekend given the chance. They also have the knowledge, skill and desire to build those kinds of fences and shelters. In fact it is a skill we teach and practise with the boys. I think most adults would have done exactly what you are hearing. They would have taken it all. Kids will be trusting in leaving it there for the next time they come to hang out. As for the money jar, I too told my hubby I would have left a $5.00 dollar bill in there just to surprise the heck out of those kids when they found it. LOL
Some ways I agree and some not. Kids would take stuff more than adults. Also the site looks way to architecturally orchestrated for a kid below 14. Especially with money in a jar, that's a hermits stash due to there are no other house sites around. Someone's collecting from others places they come across. A kid wouldn't do that and take it to some rural location, at least not to that extent, that was a lot to manipulate.
stumbled upon your posts by accident and i am by no means a metal detector guy (or a"buzzer" as we call them in the midlands of England) but admire your enthusiasm and kind of like the way your videos are put together. Good luck to you sir and all the best from the UK
Hi Nugget...you should add most of these relics to your collection! If they've been abandoned to the woods they're not cherished by those that left them there!! You have found them & should give them their next home!! :D
God bless u for leaving the kids finds I know some would have taken it. I would liked for u to have left them a little find with a note saying nugget was here I think it would have made their day. little amateur archaeologists they sure done well. God bless
Im bursting to do it ... But we're not allowed right? Found something on the gardaí website that basically said if seen with metal detector shoot on sight ... not really but you get me 😁 I understand the thinking behind the ban but its a total soul sucker if you're bursting to treasure hunt 😞
Now he is a good person for leaving all that stuff there if it is a child's camp or not that's just respect like he said those blue bottles are hard to find but he leaves them that is good respect
very good ; we lived on old farm site when i a kid and we used to set up things like that in the woods from old dump sites barns etc. and a old cabin we found ;also i remembered playing with old buttons i found up stairs that i did not at the time but they were civil war buttons' if i only know' kept up the great work. god bless
Even if you didn't dig up any thing, it was awesome to see the old stuff, I don't think kids have been in there for a long time either, so enjoy that pocket watch and, perhaps your young lady friend might enjoy that decorative piece you had found with the flower inside, got to treat her special if you know what I mean..
I remember I and my friends spend a whole day without any food except what we found in the forest! We had a wide verity of berries, frog legs etc. Those were some of the best times of my life! Of course there were no detectors then! I have a Garret now though! Makes me feel like a kid again!
I'm in agreeance with some of the posters here. This is definitely a squat. The fort seemed disused for some time judging by the decaying leaf litter(6:17) in aluminium ice tray. At 5:57,it seems the shelves are more recent and judging by how the ground looks almost swept, the hoarder/squatter has or had plans of returning to fill those shelves too.Do these forts have tin rooves? Because the construction of the walls seem to be more of a camouflage or disguise when laying down and possibly deter vermin when squatting. Kids don't play outside like this anymore.Or this detailed in construction. Kids usually leave snack packets/empty cans laying around. Kids like the sound of broken glass or take the bottles home for Mum gifts. I wouldn't recommend returning for a while and be armed in some way the next time back. A hoarder or vagrant might know you have been fooling with his/her collection.
I am impressed with your honesty and your sense of ethics. I just received my metal detector for the first time, this past Christmas. I checked all over my yard and all that I found was roofing nails and a model metal car. I wish you luck with your hunt for relics. I hope to someday find some sort of coinage.
Well, who ever put all that stuff there, sure took their time and thought it out...pretty cool place. Great video man..looking forward to seeing what at the bottom of the well.....keep us posted. HH Nugget
I noticed brother that you didn't take any of their stuff! Cool! As for the 1940s place, nah! It was much, much more satisfying to see you leave the findings of this gang of kids where they put them then it would be to see you dig! That is the stuff a man of integrity is made of!
You are awesome!!! Love your channel. I work in oil field pretty far from home and I listen to your shows in my truck to and from work for 2 hours on the road I want to find some old stuff.
you should come to kansas and go through my mom's yard. Quantriles raid came through here. I found a 1890 colt 45 under a rose bush on the property when we moved the plant
hi!.. i'am Mark from Holland, i see every day a video of you and sometimes Abby voor a go to sleep, i want a to say i hope to see more of your video's in my life... big greetings from a fan in Holland!

I don't think that stuff was put there by kids. You can see where whoever did it was having a fire and cooking food. If I were to guess, I would say there hasn't been anyone there for close to a year.
I just recently found your channel and I love it. I really enjoy watching you and Abby find cool old things. I think it would be really awesome if you did a video showing off your collection of relics sometime. Anyway keep up the good work :)
Hey Nugget, At that 40's house site; was that an old rusted, fallen over refrigerator near the back of that place? Ive built some forts as a kid, but thats almost to good! My guess is that kids don't use it anymore. You should see how old the pennies are. My guess is none are from the 2000s. If they aren't, go back and take what you want before it all gets forgotten!

I think the kids are long gone and grown up. There is no new trash, kids always leave trash like candy bar wrappers and soda cans, the newest thing i saw was a ziplock bag that could be from the 80's. I would've taken a thing or two, but good on ya!
Hey Nugget That Coleman Pocket Watch is a "Night Sight".. It takes batteries and lights up.. cool watch... would have been awesome to see if it still lit up or not. Great little find there and great video Thanks man.
You are to be complimented for leaving all that really neat stuff where you found it. Shows a very honorable ethic in your relic hunting.
Dwight Currie i
also, I wanted to compliment your integrity, you're such a great individual and I for one respect the fact that you left the possessions.
yes ^_^

A childs imagination is worth more than gold! I love it! Thanks for exploring this space with us!
How do you have such self restraint ? There were so many things I wanted but, You respectfully put them back where you found them. I salute you .
It is great you left the kids finds and coins. Unfortunately there are many who would have raided it. You are a great guy who was clearly raised properly.
I would have looked at the pennies to see any old ones but If so I would take it and replace it with other pennies
I agree Melissa! It's great to see kids using their imagination and not stuck in front of TV or video games! Well done nugget!
Backoff
pennellkay back off bro! If you don't like the idea, then don't comment
Only if every kid could spend endless hours making forts/cabins in the woods. Kids today don't know what they are missing. Great videos man keep them coming!
True that, now kids these days lip sync of other people's songs and get rich of it.
I would like to do sth like that cause it looks fun, but my mum thinks its stupid and u dont even get sth :(
+C_BlackHD
Hey where are you from do you not have a metal detector.
+Justinian Pescador Austria :)
That's because the media has scared every parent half to death about letting their kids do anything these days. Don't blame the children...I was allow to run around when I was a kid...but these days you see kids 12 years old hand cuffed to their parents.

Same feeling here, if you don't want it done to you don't do it to someone else. Karma sucks.

Mad respect for leaving it , it wouldn't be much of a victory taking what others found !!! Good man
I'd love to see you come over to the UK and find some Roman and Celtic stuff! Your enthusiasm is great! 👏👏👏👏👏
Paul Austin yea
I KNOW THEY ARE HAVING FUN‼️AS A CHILD I WOULD HAVE LOVED THAT❤️
I like how you don't like jump through windows and you actually find the door! You are very kind.

Very cool relics and items at that old house site. My compliments on leaving them there. Very respectable. Keep posting your great videos!

Hey Nug! Here I am almost seven year later and I am loving this video/discovery of yours! Wow, it really takes me back to my own childhood.
Thank you for the continued support. Really appreciate it.
Hi Nugget...you should add most of these relics to your collection! If they've been abandoned to the woods they're not cherished by those that left them there!! You have found them & should give them their next home!! :D
Im proud that you left it alone, most greedy people would of smashed bottlles and stole everything...Your a great person
Shows great integrity, by not taking any of those neat items... Good job!!

to think of what the kids did for fun in the good ole days outside. now in 2000nds we all sit around well most of us
We need Nuggetnoggin in Switzerland, theres lots of Roman stuff and few people who go metal detecting (like me).
I'm in agreeance with some of the posters here.

Wow what a neat little place. Almost like an outdoor antique store!
I am impressed with your honesty and your sense of ethics. I just received my metal detector for the first time, this past Christmas. Fair play to you for leaving the kids forte alone:).. Good man.
Well, who ever put all that stuff there, sure took their time and thought it out...pretty cool place. Great video man..looking forward to seeing what at the bottom of the well.....keep us posted. HH Nugget
Be sure and sniff that well first...could be an old one that been recently used as a pooper
U do a awesome job man lots of fun to watch thanks !
I would be back there first thing this spring, and if untouched, might find some relics to haul home. Looks VERY interesting.
Great video nugget
10:47 looks to be a mini picture holder or one of those openable lids to a picture watch
I'm looking forward to this A LOT:)
I noticed brother that you didn't take any of their stuff! Cool! As for the 1940s place, nah! It was much, much more satisfying to see you leave the findings of this gang of kids where they put them then it would be to see you dig! That is the stuff a man of integrity is made of!
Grab that cornbread cast iron pan and send it to me...... lol
I really like how you left the kids stuff behind.
man I wish I had this kind of stuff near my house maybe I wouldn't spend all my time on UA-cam if I did.
Just bought my son his first detector hopefully find some relics :)
Bet those kids feel like they are the richest kids in the world! :) What adventures they must have out there!
hi!.. i'am Mark from Holland, i see every day a video of you and sometimes Abby voor a go to sleep, i want a to say i hope to see more of your video's in my life... big greetings from a fan in Holland!
Man you are great bud it's like watching the nature channel and metal detecting lol
this dude spends his free time digging up the "junk" of the past. there's something oddly cool about that, i'd love to do what he does. makes me wonder if in 100 years people will be digging up iphones and crap.
"Digging up IPhones" lol
I don't think that stuff was put there by kids. You can see where whoever did it was having a fire and cooking food. If I were to guess, I would say there hasn't been anyone there for close to a year.
I doubt it. As a kid, me and my friends would make dud fireplaces just for fun
dumptuck
Yeah but you can see black coals where it has been lit
This reminds me of Blair Witch Proj.
I just recently found your channel and I love it. I really enjoy watching you and Abby find cool old things. I think it would be really awesome if you did a video showing off your collection of relics sometime. Anyway keep up the good work :)
Hey Nugget,
At that 40's house site; was that an old rusted, fallen over refrigerator near the back of that place? This is going to sound crazy; could you get a video of the front handle the next time you're out there? Lol, I hope it's the same as the one I'm fixing, just not broken!!
Those kids have an awesome place. Playing with all that cool old stuff instead of plastic junk. Too bad there wasn't a chalkboard you could leave em a note or something to watch the video about their place.
W.
I have been metal detecting pretty much most of my adult life. Most of my greatest treasures came from above the ground. Finding the kids stash site was so fun. I remember comming across an old out building behind an older house. we found a card board box with Model O scale train stuff in it. It was quite a find. I found a womans wedding ring with diamond sitting on the ground when they tore the football bleachers out. I spent all day hunting that site, only to find that ring just sitting there in plain site. I also hunted the ice skating park for about a month. I found many silver coins and v nickles there. I was told I was wasting my time because it had already been hunted. My reaction was pulling out a handfull of silver dimes and saying that they must have missed one or two. lol. I have also found my share of junk. Generally,if It is an older park or house site,I dig everything. If it is a newer area,I discriminate more. I have been hitting boat launch sites more now, turns out there are lots of coins dropped in those sites, both in the water and parking area. If its also a swimming hole, they produce really well.
yeah i like collecting relics its exercise and fun
Man those kids were lucky all i had was some old cars and some clothes dressers for a fort haha great video
"The hills have eyes" all I kept thinking!
I also like that you left the things they found there.
Reminds me of my childhood. Those must be some cool kids!
that's a cool place for kids to play at....they did it up good!
if i were them kids i would of tried to restore the house xD how fun would that be....
Congrats on your story in Garrett Mag.! I always enjoy your videos.
ur just an all around good guy bud dont change a thing hats off to ya
EARTH ANGEL NICE LITTLE LOT OF COLLECTIBLES YOU DISCOVERED THERE!!! IT WAS RESPECTFUL THAT YOU LEFT THEM WHERE YOU FOUND THEM!!!😇👍🤗😌
how old are the coins in the jar?. I would have kept the antler shed, those are hard to find plus they will get eaten up by the critters so might as well take it home
Bro your profile pic is oddly creepy...
Looks like a perfect scene for a horror movie ! :0
oh I'd take all that cool stuffs!!
then you might kill a kids fun time and their games and they'd be sad. or if it's a homeless person then they might need it for survival. I I was to get any of those awesome things I'd ask them 1st
It's like a museum...
Hi Nugget,
Great video as always. Got a question for ya. What do you do for work? Just kinda curious. You have a time of free time it seems.
Take care,
Bryan, Fl
Can't wait for part 2.
Ikr
Ive built some forts as a kid, but thats almost to good! My guess is that kids don't use it anymore. You should see how old the pennies are. My guess is none are from the 2000s. If they aren't, go back and take what you want before it all gets forgotten!
Next person finding it will probably take it all! If abandoned for some time take it all!
Really kool find man!!!
That enamel pot on the table looked like an old slop jar (shutter). Looked like a cast iron stove door on the ground too.
Good that you left the stuff, but it could have been abandoned for years, nice surprise for them if they go back anyway.
that iron pan can be wort approx $50+ if its a Griswold!!! I've sold a few skillets.
I like how you din't take anything there. Thumbs up. :)
Someone should salvage the cast iron corn bread pan that you found the Coleman watch in. Those are in demand today with all the people going back to using the cast iron cookware. That item with the flower engraving on it looks like half of a ladies locket in which you could put a picture in.
Great video man. I would have nabbed that cast iron pan. Bet it would have cleaned up real nice!
hey nuggetnoggin just wanted to say love watching your videos your are a truly talented relic hunter I look forward to meeting you one day..
Love the GMC emblem
Gosh, I'd love to save that cast iron wedge pan!
how long have you been finding relics
I think the kids are long gone and grown up. There is no new trash, kids always leave trash like candy bar wrappers and soda cans, the newest thing i saw was a ziplock bag that could be from the 80's. I would've taken a thing or two, but good on ya!
Hey Nugget
That Coleman Pocket Watch is a "Night Sight".. It takes batteries and lights up.. cool watch... would have been awesome to see if it still lit up or not.
Great little find there and great video
Thanks man.
Well your a better man than me gungerdin!!! I'm afraid my sack would have been full! Including the pennies. Must be hard leaving that stuff alone.
