The way you talk about your struggles and everything you went through is always inspiring to me. Your strength is something that no one will ever be able to take away and I do believe that every time you talk about it there is someone out there that will feel inspired to get sober. ❤❤❤
peter! thank you for this video and responding to my question. i found you thru a drama video many years ago bc you just made me laugh, but then i found your other channels and you’ve become my favorite youtuber to watch. i get so much from your videos, a laugh, a smile, a tear, a thought, a gold nugget of wisdom. they have been so good for my soul. you opened my eyes to Al-Anon and recovery, there are many layers to the onion but about a month ago i started attending Al-Anon meetings for myself and i am so thankful i took that step. what gave me the courage to do so was hearing you say, even if you have a loved one who is still using, there can still be a place for you in recovery. i’ve been bingeing old Peterism videos and you said in one, the best way you can take care of an addict is by taking care of yourself. so thats what i’m going to do. thank you peter 💙
I am an adult child of an alcoholic when I understood that and went through the characteristics my perspective changed and learned a lot about my dad and my own struggle with sobriety. Thank you for sharing 💕
Hey Peter I follow all your channels but just joined this channel as I am starting therapy for the first time. Topic idea how to know if a therapist is the right fit, and talk about what you should be looking for in a good therapist! Thanks for all your wisdom!!
Do you have any advice on how to deal with a mother who is an alcoholic, but is in complete denial, like she is with everything else. She was abusive towards me since childhood, including blaming for -not just my bad behavior- my brother's bad behavior and "punishing me" (you can use your imagination for how she defined punishment) for what he did. My brother's behavior was way worse than mine. I just turned 40 and she still thinks she can do that. Now she's in a nursing home because of a stroke, caused from Carnoma... which is the same thing that partially paralyzed my brother when he was 16. I'm having a hard time getting past everything and forgiving her, because she's still doing the same thing. My uncle wants me to visit her, but my counselor agrees with me that I shouldn't have to. My whole family ignored the crap she put me through, yet expects me to be the perfect person....or daughter maybe? IDK
I need this for sure, my day took a downward turn just a few minutes ago. Love you always, take care and stay safe. Enjoy your evening. Love you too Boo and Alex. 💙💙💙🐶🐶🐶🧢🧢🧢🥤🥤🥤☕️☕️☕️🏊♀️🏊♀️🏊♀️😎😎😎🐿️🐿️🐿️🥰🥰🥰🧸🧸🧸📺📺📺🍿🍿🍿📖📖📖😴😴😴☔️☔️☔️🎃🎃🎃🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
