Excellent reaction- this has to be one of the best live audience reactions/sing alongs ever!!! Definitely check out some more Blind Guardian- the album Night at the Opera is phenomenal.
Hansi is a great guy and even after all these years still humble and looking to improve. I got to talk to him and he asked me which of the shows (of a series) I thought was the best performance. I gave him my opinion (they got better but the last show they seemed to get a bit tired) and he shook my hand, he said "I agree with you 100%, I felt the same way." He could have taken my honest observation as an 'insult', because maybe a 'real fan' would say 'they were all great', but no, he didn't. Amazing memory.

My favorite album is probably Imaginations From The Other Side, but Nightfall in Middle Earth (it's a concept album about the events of the silmarillion) and Night at the Opera come very close. Their most recent album, The God Machine, is like a fusion of their more recent proggy sound with their old speed metal sound and I also quite like it. As for how he has maintains his voice... I highly recommend his interview with the charismatic voice. It's really fascinating hearing how he went from a guy with a half decent singing voice who had no idea what he was doing (in his own words, at least...) and how he's had to learn techniques over the course of his career. I love when you put up something I'm interested in because there's no guessing what it might be. Somewhere Far Beyond is my favorite album of theirs, but there is so much to discover now if that's all you knew. Actually "Nightfall in Middle Earth" might be my favorite now that I think about it. Yes, do a track by track of that one, based on The Silmarillion. Some tracks are just interludes, so you'd have to work those in with other songs somehow.

I've never heard this. I like it, I'll have to go look up the original. The Bard's Song reminds me of Marillion, "Script For a Jester's Tear". Scottish band with the prog rock/bardcore part, but not the metal part.
Somewhere far Beyond is a classic! My first Blind Guardian album was Nightfall in Middle Earth, it's probably my most listened to albums ever (it's a journey)! Their newer stuff is pretty great too. Loving this band for 20 years now. Guardian is just something special. Hansi is Indestructible. You should listen to their complete discography dude-its really worth the time. Two best power metal bands of all time are Helloween and Blind Guardian-its a fact. German heavy and power metal bands are THE REAL DEAL!
That was something, isn't it !!!! Blind Guardian ladies and gentlemen, Kings of Speed and Power Metal !!!!!!! After I bought their new album "The God Machine" (MAILORDER EDITION) I was hooked. My only complain with this awesome album is that it is to short 😛. Playing catch up ever since... So, I suggest to reacquaint yourself with this new album "The God Machine" !!!! 🤘😎🤘.
Not to bash on Somewhere Far Beyond but if i were to choose 2 BG albums my first choice would easily be Nightfall followed with Imaginations From The Other Side as second best .
When you hear, that the angels praise God in Heaven, all the time, this sounds like much more fun once you've watched this crowd singing The Bards Song.
Knew them since their first album "Batallions of fear", when I drove everyone around me crazy by constantly telling them, how great this band is. From today's perspective rather a generic melodic speed/power metal album, it still was something unique back then. Although many people stated, they'd just be a copy of the legendary Helloween. Well, one can't really deny that, at least for their first album. But the next album "Follow the blind" and especially their third release "Tales from a twilight world" started to speak another language. Highly recommend that one.
Their new stuff is really good, I recommend checking out at least a few of songs from The God Machine, like "Deliver Us From Evil" or "Blood Of The Elves".
And that is why I listen to Blind Guardian after all those years, got Tales from the Twilight World in 1990 and bang =) And that is why I can't stand bands like Dragonforce, they may shred all they like, but they will never have the same huge SOUL in their music, only pure synthetic craftmanship.
"Tales from a twilight world", "Somewhere far beyond" and "Imaginations from the other side" are three straight albums that are masterpieces. After that they got stuck in production hell and everything that they released sounded like an over produced wall of audio.
Legend has it, that if you pass by the fields of Wacken and you listen carefully, you can still hear the crowd singing Valhalla to this day....
hahaha love that!

Ahhh i have been waiting for this! Let's GOOOOO! :)
Now you know why i requested that version! 😂🤣😂
Oh and they shout: GUARDIAN! GUARDIAN GUARDIAN! :)
I don't know the band but obviously have seen him singing in Ayreon vids and he has a great voice. Great songs here and the crowd at Wacken was insane as always! TY for the reacts would like to hear from him or BG. ❤ and ✌️
dude, snag the album somewhere far beyond
Best powermetal ever made ❤
Loving this band for 20 years now. Guardian is just something special. Hansi is Indestructible. You should listen to their complete discography dude-its really worth the time. Two best power metal bands of all time are Helloween and Blind Guardian-its a fact. German heavy and power metal bands are THE REAL DEAL!
they be chantin "guardian! guardian!"
song from childhood
Its a classic
Time for a visit to the Wacken Festival I guess? Next time they play there :D
look how just few assholes not enjoying the moment but recording instead in the crowd. gotta love metal crowds.
Word!
For me their best album still nightfall and their best and most ambitious song « and then there was silence ». One of the greatest song in history.
My thoughts exactly 😊 I have the Nightfall in Middle-Earth album cover as a full back tattoo 😊
I love this... I don't know them enough (Ich kenne sie nicht genug). I'll dig more (ich werde gern mich mit dieser Musikband näher beschäftigen).
Their new stuff is really good, I recommend checking out at least a few of songs from The God Machine, like "Deliver Us From Evil" or "Blood Of The Elves".
"I don't pause, i don't pause!"
Pushes pause button... 🤣
lol I rarely do haha
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody No problem, man! 😄
Nowadays travelers through Wacken area, report that the area still echoes "Valhalla".
So true
German Power -- be afraid -- cry NOW -- fear us
Hansi 🤘
Valhalla is a pretty old song, it's from 1989 i guess. Was the time, when they prefer speed.
Ya I only had the Somewhere Far Beyond Album
They found some of that speed again on the God Machine. It slaps!
Half their songs are inspired by the hobbit and the lord of the rings. Thats how i found them many years ago.
Rammstein- Du hast 🤘the live in Paris concert
And that is why I listen to Blind Guardian after all those years, got Tales from the Twilight World in 1990 and bang =)
And that is why I can't stand bands like Dragonforce, they may shred all they like, but they will never have the same huge SOUL in their music, only pure synthetic craftmanship.
If you are really quite you can still hear the audience sing. 😏
Valhalla is from '89 :)
"Somewhere Far Beyond" is '92 :)
Pick any song from "Nightfall in middle Earth"....it´s their masterpiece in my opinion. and it is about the Silmarillion BTW
Blind Gardian came from Hildesheim
"Tales from a twilight world", "Somewhere far beyond" and "Imaginations from the other side" are three straight albums that are masterpieces. After that they got stuck in production hell and everything that they released sounded like an over produced wall of audio.
RIGHT! Gosh I Fking love this band.
For me Imaginations was the first one where they had the sound spot on, and it's been great ever since. But we all have different preferences 😊
Are you a Ralph Sheepers fan?
Same phenomenon.
I mean are they actually getting better ?
