Yeah no Blind Guardian live is just magical, I was able to sing the Bard's Song with the bards last sunday. Finally made my dream come true and after coming home I felt like the concert was just a dream.
Blind Guardian is so good. They have been on tour in the US. I follow them on Facebook and it looks like they have been playing to full capacity crowds. Though, it astonishes me that the venues are relatively small, compared to what they would probably play in Europe. If only the music industry didn't have such a stranglehold on what we do, and do not, hear in the US.
I'm glad they are touring here in the US. Yeah, we suck. It's not just the industry but the mentality here. Iron Maiden is one of the biggest bands in the world. They typically play venues of 80 to 120,000 all over the world- except here. Lady Gaga has famously said she wishes she was like Maiden to be able to draw crowds of that magnitude. The music scene is much more vibrant in Europe and Japan than here.
It's the same the other way round. Lynyrd Skynyrd never hit the big stages in Germany. Sad enough.
I went to a show of Ensiferum, Pain, Eleine and Ryujin in Ljubljana (Slovenia) on a Tuesday night and the place was packed! It was crazy

Hi pal, nice reaction as always! I've been in a similar festival with BLIND GUARDIAN two yrs ago in Athens. They were great but he did not sing this song, at all, because we did! And you know, just to be jealous (haha), before them was EPICA and after them SABATON! Cheers from Greece!

"Into the storm" is a great song, as this entire album to be honest.

Ah Nightfall In Middle Earth my beloved, I finally read The Silmarillion because of that album and I adore the album even more now. I got to Túrin's chapter and just played Harvest of Sorrow on loop as soon as I realised which song connected to the story.
