Thanks for making this video, I’m doing this setup
I’m about to get mine done on Friday, it’s an excited nervousness, pray it sounds just as nice as yours 🤙🏼
There's a chance it may not sound the same at first but that's because the engine will adapt overtime as you keep driving and then it will eventually have this same sound. But it may also sound just like this right after the install, just depends on the car.
@@InlineSixAuto I set yours as the standard for how a muffler delete should sound! I’m sure you’ve inspired many others to get this done as you have myself, looking forward to hearing mine & seeing more great content in the future! Cheers from Wisconsin 🍻
Those welds looked superb
that’s a beautiful sound
Where can I buy exacly the same for my 328xi coupe 2012 m package ?
You just need to go to your local muffler/Exhaust shop and ask them to do a muffler and resonator delete
Damn. 1:34 That NA engine. Beautiful.
That sounds clean man, have you ever thought of doing the dual exhaust conversion?
I have actually. I talked to my local muffler shop to see if they could do it but they said it wasn’t possible. So I’m not sure how some people were able to do it.
Ohh. For some reason I thought you asked about quad exhaust tip conversion lol. But for the dual, I just didn’t really like the idea because it kinda gives off the notion that it’s a 335i when it’s not so I just didn’t really consider the dual. But I’m pretty sure that one is possible. Now that I think about it, it would make the rear look a bit better. You got me thinkin now 🤔
@@InlineSixAuto i agree about the dual but the quad would be a clean setup man! It would be a lot easier for you since your already running the M Tech Rear bumper all you would need is a new diffuser for the new tips, you should make a video about it if you do end up going for it sometime in the future it Forsure adds a lot to the rear end.
I’ll definitely keep that on my list now!
@@InlineSixAuto I just want to add one thing real quick. If you do a true dual exhaust (one exhaust pipe for each header, but NO crossover pipe) I'm pretty sure you would get a LOT more burble to the exhaust tone. With each exhaust pipe only seeing 3 cylinders it will give it much more separation between each exhaust pulse.
I'm betting it would have something very similar to that suburu burble. I can't be sure if it would keep that awesome deep tone when straight piped though. It would really depend on exhaust pipe size and if you ran a muffler.
I'm thinking a set of cherry bomb vortex mufflers on a 2.5" true dual setup could sound either absurdly amazing or be total dog @$$ lol. I don't think there would be a in-between with that lol.
Man those welds look awful, you can also see them leaking at 1:22 . As a person from eastern Europe, I really do not know how expensive welding is in the US, however here, this type of job costs about 15 USD + about as much for the cheap steel pipes. For $360 I think you should be able to find a decent muffler replacement, that's gonna sound better than stock but won't annoy your neighbors. Might as well do a cat delete, it should sound even louder. PS: my cat delete was the equivalent of $9.40 lol
What is the weird sounds at 3:15 I hear in the background?
I think that was my phone camera vibrating from the car going over bumps in the road.

@@treybecker5637 I never said it wasn’t ?
I'm highly thinking about getting a muffler delete cause it sounds so good on the n52.
Shiii me too 🔥👍🏾
From experience, muffler delete was too loud for me (Honda loud). Since, I've done the PE mod on my N52 muffler + resonator delete and I reckon it is much better now (subjective).
Funny, I had the same exact experience as Hellen. (I also have an E90 (2011) BMW 328i.) I deleted the muffler and about a year later decided to cut the resonator. Now...now it sounds amazing. I would describe it as mildly aggressive, yet comforting, in the sense that you don't have to worry about getting pulled over for your exhaust being "too loud". Here's a random question, "What is the #1 reason we car guys get pulled over, ticketed, and state-refed here in California?" Two words, LOUD exhaust. This was why I only did the muffler delete to start. I figured it might be "enough" and in any case, we can always cut the resonator later. It turns out the muffler delete alone was just a bit too tame. Kinda sounded like baby Simba from the Lion King. If you are considering a muffler delete, I would recommend doing the resonator delete at the same time. Plus, if you decide to do them together you could probably get it done for $200-$250, including the exhaust tips. Do keep in mind that you will need to choose the tip style that you want. The muffler shop I went to only offered 3 styles: black, chrome, and titanium. I chose the burnt titanium tips and they look pretty sick IMO. The whole process should take about 1.5 hours. One last thing to think about is: "What do you do with your old muffler and resonator?" Well, you can either keep them or have the shop take them off your hands. I decided to keep mine for over a year but just ended up tossing em. Going back I would have just let the shop deal with them. I hope this info is helpful for you Empra and anyone else who might read this. If you have questions, feel free to hit me up

@@InlineSixAuto thanks so much for the response! I have an european 325ix e92 pre-LCI and my avg mpg is about 14.5 mpg, but my CEL is on for a broken disa valve (i believe) so i guess that's why i have so bad fuel economy

@@InlineSixAuto i think the valve has been broken since before i bought it. what i noticed was bouncy idle for about 1 minute when the engine is cold and i’d say that it is down on power below 3500-4000 rpm but i can’t confirm that because i don’t know it should feel if it wouldn’t be broken (if that makes sense)

Where did you go?? I live in so cal too

What part do you live in?
Get those secondary cats removed you won’t regret it 😉
This N52 is just such a quiet engine considering you have removed both muffler and Resonator. Does it make a loud drone at high way speed though?
Really? I think it’s pretty loud for what it is lol. But like I said, I don’t really like obnoxiously loud cars so. And at highway speeds there’s a little drone but it’s not annoyingly loud drone to the point you can’t hear your music.
@@InlineSixAuto by loud i mean obnoxiously loud. Many engines are unbearable if there are no muffling of the exhaust. They literally can destroy your hearing. Even a cheap motorbike engine can do that.
This is why I said the N52 is surprisingly quiet (even when naked).
Ahh I understand now. Thought you were saying it wasn’t loud enough.
@@InlineSixAuto so it wouldn’t bother with the radio a little loud and the ac on?

Thats Funny, I just did the same thing on my 525 1 week ago but started with the resonator delete 1st and paid 150 (most shops have a min charge to just make cuts) and I got NO DAM SOUND CHANGE. Then I paid another 100 for the muffler delete (provided my own tips) and now it sounds BAD ASS just like your 3 series. Its the perfect sound pitch and depending on how you drive you can keep it fairly low when your trying to keep the neighborhood quiet.
BTW, you got the Cleanest 3 ive ever seen 👍
You mentioned you don't like the look, I figure unless someone like me is going to check out your ride underneath, no one will even give it a thought.
Oh and a muffler/res delete takes off at least 30-40 pounds of weight (worth looking up) so its a hair better on performance and gas...lol
well glad you ended up with the sound you wanted lol. Yeah the resonator doesnt really do anything for sound. The muffler mainly makes the difference. And thanks! I ended up doing a dual exhaust tip conversion (335i style) and it doesnt sound as good but it looks a lot better than the single exit.

This isn’t that loud so I’ve never gotten a ticket for it tho. I’ve only gotten a ticket for window tint and no front plate lol. @@InlineSixAuto Our BMWs especially the N52 emissions you have to get prepped for the smog. 15 Mins of Consistent 35-45mph then 10 Mins 60mph to 80mph then Idle for 3 Minutes do not do this on a full tank 1/4 tank or half full would be ideal. Nope. They should be doing everything for you. And thanks!
Ik I’m a little late to this video but how do u get it to pass inspection
it was wont have any affect on emissions inspection. and A lot of shops don't really care since deleting the muffler and resonator don't effect emissions
When you have your heart set on Massey Ferguson but your mom says no.
Any issues doing emissions inspections?
Nope. Muffler/resonator delete don’t affect emissions control.
i have a muffler delete now and i exactly know what you mean by it being “light” it sounds more air-ey and it it’s missing the deep tone without the resonator
Hey man, trying to get this exact setup on my 2009 328i, I really love it. Quick question tho, how wide are the pipe and exhaust tips?
The pipe is 2.5 inch in diameter and the tips are 3.5 inches
Any performance gain by doing so?
nothing significant. It's mainly for sound. But you cut some weight off the car also by removing the muffler.
Does this make any lights pop up on the dashboard ?
no light will pop up
