Did something similar on a Soviet offensive map. The commander was so happy with the defense that he ordered the whole team to do it again. So we let the enemy take the point without defense and did it all over again on the next point. Fun.
I play on the ps5 and im in love with the engineer class and fortifying a position. But I really wish more people played it and actually fortified the position. If you can get 3 engineers working together in one objective. Youd have a really good chance of making it your stand.. But then you also get matches where, even with 3+ engineers together. The rest of the team doesn't seem to understand that they are on defense. Then the enemy just walks in to take it.
The main issue when it comes to too many engineers is many don’t know where to place stuff or they just default to placing everything directly on top of eachother, so when a single satchel guy comes, it’s all destroyed instead of putting a barb wire line far enough out that even if they satchel it, you still have plenty of cover. Or the command doesn’t spawn supply trucks or the other engineers don’t take turns doing supply runs constantly running out instead of creating a huge surplus
I played a match on this map just last night and we did the exact same thing, every street was filled with barbed wire, bunkers, mines, tank traps, barricades. It was beautiful
I just wish it was easier to build basics defences like barbwire, without needing a big box of supplies. Or that a supply boxes have a bigger build radius, always frustrating when you can see the supply box buy you're 51m away and can't place the wire or barricade.
Think I've only seen someone else satchel a building once in all my time playing, it is unknown they can blow up buildings made by players by so many people.
hey mono the video was amazing even tho i expected to see a footage of u and ur squad sittting in the objective and defend if u know what i mean, anyway gj keep up the good work
Hey dude. Yes, I completely understand what you mean. When i was playing that round, I remember thinking about capturing footage from inside, already knowing I was gonna make a video of the epic defense going on. So I agree, and I wish I had captured footage "sitting in the objective". However, someone had to defend from the outside. It seemed like everyone planned to defend from inside so I took my squad to keep a garrison up outside the strongpoint at all times. Keeping a harrasing force outside like this, keeping a team spawn open, is 100% key for the defenses to hold. They did manage to breach, but that's when I took out the garrison they built with the airdrop that you see in the video, and together with the rest of the squad we denied any flanking opportunities they had. Maybe next time, we'll do full on defense from inside!
@@monoespacial that’s a great explanation of how to play this game well. One of my favorite parts of playing SL is thinking about the specific objectives your squad has to fit with what the rest of your team is doing.
Everyone that has a voice in the HLL community, please recommend to the DEVa that there should be a “lock garrison” ability as commander. Would help SL’s and blueberries who don’t understand the game (yet) to not spawn at points that have no IMMEDIATE tactical advantage. Meaning garrisons that are build in enemy territory in hopes of forming a counter offensive, or garrisons built on the far side of the map as defensive garrisons to defend the fall back point. Sometimes blueberries use these spawns as a way to get behind enemy lines instead of defending the point, which at times can be helpful if you have an entire squad designated to wiping out flanking garrisons. As a console player who has a bunch of new playing with him, this would help them have more fun with the game and help the overall structure of command in general.
Defending this specific point on this map isn’t balanced at all. As a SL trying to attack yesterday it was the most frustrating thing. There’s like four entrances all of which are have a huge line of sight

This was a great match. Its nice when the engineers work together,

I love when I get engineers willing to fortify with me
1 bunker, a few barricades and its impossible to cap

I think the true solution is having any soldier be able to pick up and move supplies elsewhere.
@@monoespacial if only there were a support class who could do this? 😂

One of my first matches had me defending that city we held them to the end
Wait I figured out what the sound is in the intro.. it’s the hit marker sounds from Wolfenstein: ET
Well, it's the guy sound from Quake 3 arena! I'm guessing they used the same for Wolfenstein as well

Cool plan to build the garrison in the bunker. going to test it
I was in a game where we tried this... but it was so built up we couldn't see out of it. We were all screaming and trying to get out of this prison.
Did you end up winning?
@@monoespacial ha, I think we did! We were miserable though, didn't even have any firing lanes.
this was a hilarious round :D
Yay
nice
just getting into this game.here for allyour HLL vids 😁
Tictak is the best.
"even Chinese stuff will work" ROFL
When u got time for some hll i got my new gpu
I'll be streaming in 5 hours aprox.
240 ping jesus
Dude, it's surprising how well this game handles high ping.
@@monoespacial yeah also, hll is a game where you can almost play well even with a high ping, because the game is a lot bigger than just shooting
this gamehas the highest ping for me than anything else i play for some reason. even west based servers in my state
Some real Germans in your Squad? ;-)
Shhh we do not acknowledge Luger.

I think you definitely need to go in with armor
is it really that difficult to have the name of the game in the title?
Lol. I must've done 60 videos on Hell Let Loose. The one video I don't include the title in!
