@@Pearloryx This. I'm still trying to find a plus on a base model S24 versus a base model S10. Same RAM, same storage, S10 has better resolution, 3.5mm jack, SD card, is lighter, and 99% same software. Only difference is S24 has an LTPO screen, bigger battery, and faster chip, but it's $800 while the S10 is $100. S24 is not 8x better. 🙃
Now both apple and samsung realized that being innovative doesn't always bring money in.. just have to go with the flow and bring some improvements.. not too much tho, because then you'd have set the bar for yourself too high.. and it will take more money and time to improve things
It's incredibly hard to be innovative when you've done most of what can be done. Complain when you find some sort of cool new change that actually improves the s24 Ultra.
Its absolutely possible to have an APS-C sensor on a phone as long as the trade off of less battery space is worth it. Think how small point and shoot APS-C cameras exist (Ricoh GRiii). I would imagine the smaller m43 sized sensor would be easier to adapt though.
As far as i know, Xiaomi 13 & 14 Ultra has both 1 Inch sensors, alongside Vivo X100, Oppo Find X6 Ultra i think, and Xperia 1 V & VI, however they still use a few other cameras built into the phone, but the main / large sensor is made up of a 1" Sensor, which is roughly the same sized sensor as a camera like sony Rx100
Parker, Bigger sensors need massive lenses. There’s no getting around it. Smartphone manufacturers would have already done it if it made sense. Even if it were pancake lenses it still wouldn’t make sense you’d be losing aperture
Yeah, even the smallest ones are quite big, like Ricoh GR still has a huge lens, if we compare it to smartphones. And don't forget about the battery life, a bigger sensor requires more energy
Xiaomi did something similar all tho it was a 1 inch sensor it had interchangeable lenses it was a very expensive concept phone tho and some manufacturers like sony or lumix do special addons for phone's that you strap to the back and use your phone as controls
The S12 ultra concept of a certain chinese brand(forgot wich one) has a lens attachment ring to attatch lenses but there were only 3 or 4 made and it costs 43K.
They could make it so that it comes with a case so that the camera bump is flush. And with all the space for the bottom half they could probably give the case a feature or something.
I think a crop sensor would be small enough to fit on a smart phone. But of course, the phone is gknna have to be thick enough to house the mechanism of the shutter of a crop sensor.
Yup just because the lens is big doesn’t mean the quality is good but imagine there was like an iPhone 17 with this or like Samsung 26 with this would be cool I wonder if it would actually happen 📱
When this phone released I really wanted to buy this because our digital camera at that time from sony having some problems in the lens and we needed a new phone so I wanted to buy this but my father didn't buy it
The thing is, we don't even need an aps-c sensor. That's going to require too much space and fuck with battery life. There are two sensor sizes below it as well that are bigger than a phone sensor. Those are micro 4/3rds and once inch sensor. And while I don't know about micro 4/3rd, phones can absolutely fit in a one inch sensor. In fact Nokia Lumia 1020 (or was it 920?) did it once. And most modern phones are halfway there already with their ridiculous looking larger than before sensors.
If you want a phone with an near camera sensor and setup xiaomi has already done it. But of you are expecting a full on camera setup on a phone then its basically a digital camera with a an large screen
That's a cool phone, and it looks like something that would be new, not an S4, and could you make an updated video for your home screen? The old one doesn't work on newer phones because one of the apps isn't available anymore. 😢 (day 7 of asking i think)
Sony made a few different cameras meant to be attached to a smart phone. Idk if you know that cause I don't watch your content but yeah. I forget what they're called but one is a DSLR
Nightmare for otterbox cases and phone case to make it and if you drop it it may get damage or break and then the chips and other stuff it will be like the foldable phone cases that are not good really at that point and price of one your better off with a good camara now if the phone is thick then I can see it working but the phone will have to be tested to see how much damage it can take before something bad happens to it + the battery and screen
My mom used it as a daily smartphone for about 4 years and yeah...as usual she accidentally spilled some horlicks on it and its dead😂...its now in our showcase
Samsung back in the day is almost unrecognizable compared to 2024 Samsung
Late 2010s Samsung phones were way better than today ngl. The current Samsung mobile chairman screwed the company since the former left in 2020.
Yeah, they just needed a better ui skin

Remember S Beam? That was just current tap-to-share AirDrop but on Samsung
(There was also Android Beam)
Yeah, it's almost like they improved to a point where they've beaten the competition in quality and have little to innovate
When Samsung used to be innovative with each release
Still is.
i think you mean apple.
@@75sRax exactly, that was the era when Apple was innovative. Now it's completely different.

Chinese vendors basically coming near to having a whole hockey puck in their backs
As an owner of oppo find x6 pro that's sooo true, though it doesn't bother me much surprisingly
@@aunthropmusic5479 Now look at the OPPO find X7 Ultra and Vivo X100 Ultra which I use daily.
Now that's where the Xiaomi 12S and 13S Ultra come in
Guys, make this the top comment. Get parker's attention!
Its absolutely possible to have an APS-C sensor on a phone as long as the trade off of less battery space is worth it. Think how small point and shoot APS-C cameras exist (Ricoh GRiii). I would imagine the smaller m43 sized sensor would be easier to adapt though.
It would be nice to have a camera/phone like just a camera but with the computing power of a phone it would be super good
just make the phone thicker, i don't care
As far as i know, Xiaomi 13 & 14 Ultra has both 1 Inch sensors, alongside Vivo X100, Oppo Find X6 Ultra i think, and Xperia 1 V & VI, however they still use a few other cameras built into the phone, but the main / large sensor is made up of a 1" Sensor, which is roughly the same sized sensor as a camera like sony Rx100
This is why I love Samsung, they kept trying out something different rather than sticking to one line and do “better” for the next-gen
yeah sadly now they stopped i miss old samsung

This was actually the first one I thought of, when you said that 😂
Xiaomi did something similar all tho it was a 1 inch sensor it had interchangeable lenses it was a very expensive concept phone tho and some manufacturers like sony or lumix do special addons for phone's that you strap to the back and use your phone as controls
Add a magnifier on the s24
When I saw that reel i thought THAT is the next revolution of phones that will continue to bury the photography business 😂
Ps LOVE the new hat 💛🙏🏼
A hat that encourages blasphemy, great.

Samsung in 2014: 💪😎
Samsung in 2024: 🤏🤕
You could technically have a phone with and strapped on small apsc camera on the back like the sony qx1
Man!, I love your post😁
Xiamoi 12s has a huge senser without the lens then you add the lens to make it better
I loved this phone
I saw it on an episode of teen wolf when I was younger and I wanted one so badly
I wish webcams had camera sized sensors. There are only a few webcams with relatively large sensors. Maybe one day.
They could make it so that it comes with a case so that the camera bump is flush. And with all the space for the bottom half they could probably give the case a feature or something.
Energizer phone level camera bump
I remember using this phone as my main for a few years as a kid
And how ridiculous it looked when I was calling someone 🤣
It was great 😹
Rare technology
There is actually a phone with a professional size camera lens on smartphone from Xiaomi.
Even Mrwhosetheboss also reviewed it
S4 Zoom was a great phone.
I think a crop sensor would be small enough to fit on a smart phone. But of course, the phone is gknna have to be thick enough to house the mechanism of the shutter of a crop sensor.

The Xiaomi 12s ultra concept phone. It has a literal 1 inch sensor. Even Mrwhostheboos reviewed it. It has a big detachable lens.
I did have an s4 zoom man that takes me back
When this phone released I really wanted to buy this because our digital camera at that time from sony having some problems in the lens and we needed a new phone so I wanted to buy this but my father didn't buy it
That's Wild Mann💚😎👊🏻🗯💥👍🏼👍🏼🤝🏼
That is a great idea Parker.
What phone do u mainly use?
Actualy the Sony Xperia I IV and Xperia I V have an 85-125mm telephoto and the Sony Xperia I VI an 85-170mm telephoto and It's amazing

Had the S4 ZOOM it was a real camera... takes pictures really well even at 10x zoom.... I wish sammy woukd make a camera phone... S24U ZOOM..
If you want a phone with an near camera sensor and setup xiaomi has already done it.
But of you are expecting a full on camera setup on a phone then its basically a digital camera with a an large screen
Imagine having an medium format sensor in your phone
I'd buy a phone like that if they made an updated/upgraded version.
Some of the cameras help with AR, so having 1 camera would be better quality, but would have less features
Glad to know im not the only android user here
Can you make a vid on the future of flip and fold phones?
I do remember xiaomi doing something like this, mrwhosetheboss made a review about it a year ago I remember.
S4 zoom is still pretty cool
Is that a galaxy s4 in your pocket, or are you just excited to see me?
Have you seen the xiaomi 12s ultra concept
You're talking about the Samsung Galaxy NX. A APS-C interchangeable lens mirrorless camera with android as it's OS.
That's a cool phone, and it looks like something that would be new, not an S4, and could you make an updated video for your home screen? The old one doesn't work on newer phones because one of the apps isn't available anymore. 😢 (day 7 of asking i think)
Ur device is Yi mi camera or Zeiss Zx1 . But the best implementation of your idea would be the alice camera .
They could easily do that, but it would be as thick as a mirrorless camera.
Sony made a few different cameras meant to be attached to a smart phone. Idk if you know that cause I don't watch your content but yeah. I forget what they're called but one is a DSLR
Exactly 💯❤
There was a Xiaomi experimental phone with a normal camera sensor but you would have to carry detachable lens for it and it costs about 43k
forget apsc, i'd kill to have m4/3 or just even a 1" sensors on phones *with* interchangeable lens mount - and still pocketable
Xiaomi made a limited series of the 12s ultra that had only a sensor with attachments like you want
Moto mod with Hasselblad camera
I think there was a xiaomi concept phone with a larger sensor and a detachable lens
Let’s be honest FaceTime is just better then anything google has introduced or any other phone company
😅. My mom. Had this back in the day
Mi 12 s Ultra
Nokia 808 Pureview, in 2012, 1/1.2 sensor.
Wow Samsung should just start making cameras that sync to the Samsung ecosystem, that would be cool 😂
Samsung used to have a DSLR Camera Line years ago
I have never understood the fixation with cameras on phones. I get wanting great quality pictures and all but to what end?
Now imagine S24 ultra zoom
Can’t stop looking at your cap 😂😂
Why
I have a question parker. Ever experienced burn in on your phones? Im just wondering
I need to get a Samsung tablet should I get the Tab 9+ 5G one
I like the idea of Sony QX10/100...
How bout something like the sony qx1
Day2 of asking why isn't carter there in PARKER'S REAL FRIENDS
dang 6 comments lemme fix that
What about latest xiaomi phones
You can change lens..
xiaomi 12 s ultra
WHAT ABOUT THE XIAOMI 12S ULTRA
What about the Xiaomi 12s ultra concept phone? I know it's just a concept phone, but I think it proves something similar is possible
Try nokia pureviee 808
Not possible. If the thiness of the phone is kept, apsc sensor would require the lens to be about 6-8cm away. Even it's a pancake f/9 lens
just see the xiaomu 12s ultra concept... it has an 1" sensor for camera lens... and it cost 40k
Anyone remember the SONY ERICSSON K800I cyber shot?
Ok maybe a company like will do it
What about the Panasonic CM1 that's exactly what he is describing. How old is this guy? I can't tell now.
Did u try yhe new Xperia Mach 6?
How does the S4 Zoom's camera compare to the S24 Ultra?
S24 ultra is much superior. S4 zoom is still a decade old phone that only zooms up to 10x
:laughs in NOKIA N73
THE XIAOMI 12S ULTRA
What about the Panasonic Lumix Smart Camera CM1 Phone?
My mom used it as a daily smartphone for about 4 years and yeah...as usual she accidentally spilled some horlicks on it and its dead😂...its now in our showcase
Yes we can. But they don't want to. They want your wallet, not your approval.
Please share your coolvibes for s4 zoom (:
Love the hat bro
Wait doesn't the Galaxy S20 FE have a varied focal length camera on it Parker or am I remembering that wrong?
Man that's ain't a phone just a camera
There is one smartphone which you mean. The Xiaomi 12s Ultra Concept
if you want a camera, buy a camera
Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept edition already did it
I've had that phone before 😂😂😂
Samsung created the phone that Android was originally planned for.
Please try Vivo x100 pro
They will be thick af
