Thanks for the video. Will you be doing one on the FLSun Pad? It would be interesting to see ahead to head comparison, although I doubt there are many differences.
I haven't worked with FLSun in the past, but looking at the FLSun Pad. It looks like it is running the same software on very similar hardware. If you were shopping between them, I would probably just get which ever is cheaper.
I recently purchased a second printer, the Sovol SV06, to supplement my well used Anycubic Mega S. I have it working with my Sonic Pad. But I am struggling with a first layer issue, the outer perimeter lines on the first layer separate from the print. Its like its underextruding, and leaving a gap. I have calibrated the extruder numerous times, and the value I have matched what I found in the stock printer.cfg file. I have addressed the warped print bed (common issue on the SV06) by swapping the spacers with adjustable screws to bring the corners of the bed more level with the middle. I have messed around with the auto level settings in Klipper, even going to an 81 pt levelling grid. I messed around in PrusaSlicer, adjusting the flow rate for the first layer, although since I don't see any impact from this I am wondering if Klipper ignores that. I have also tried brims, it helped, but only a bit. Any suggestions? Any hidden settings in Klipper that I should know about? I am going to test the printer on stock firmware to see if the issue exists "from the factory" at some point soon.
Having issues with the ended 5 s1 with temps and now printing…. I temps I put in my slicer are ignored by the Sonic Pad it always goes back to the preset temps. And now it doesn’t push out filament but keeps trying to print, I checked and now clogs. Anybody else see that or know a fix?
Sounds like your slicer temps are different than what you're inputting on the pad directly...it'll default to the settings in the slicer .stl file. If you configure the temps in the slicer to what you want, it should have no issue. If you do, however, reset the pad and reinstall the firmware and try again.
Thank you! I am going to hook up the i3 Mega and three more printers to see if I can max out this device. The Ender 5 here can't go as fast as some other printers since it really isn't the most stable machine. I think the print I showed off was like 100mm/s with 3000 acceleration
@@JJShankles thanks for the reply! That’s still twice as fast as I am printing on my i3 mega S currently! I’d love to see a tutorial setting up this device with the i3 if you wind up connecting it.
JJ have been able to print from the USB Ports on the Pad? I have tried everything and it can not read the thumb drive. I have tried the drive that came with the pad and 5 new ones. Nothing I try will work printing from the USB port on the Pad. Just wondering if your able to do it. Thanks
You can Install a Debian Image on the Creality Sonic Pad, install a real Klipper and use it like a Raspberry Pi Installation. Without a large GPIO header, but you can add a RPI2040 and use it for all your GPIO needs. Change the root Password or do NOT connect a generic Creality Installation to your network, as it is an unprotected root Linux server that is accessiible to everyone who has a need for such a device in your network. Seems that nobody xares about that! ❤ that!
I’ve had a sonic pad for almost 2 months now, first got it for my modded ender 3 v2 and it changed everything. I now have it running with 3 printers seamlessly. Its connected to my sovol svo6, ender 3 v2, and ender 7. It especially helps with some of the issues that come with the ender 7. I’m currently using a usb camera in the 4th usb port and have it connected inside my ender 7. I think it was definitely the best upgrade I’ve bought for all my printers. Great video indeed.
I’m a year late seeing this video. I noticed that you installed the input shaper sensor incorrectly. It needs to lay flat and in the right direction. On the sensor it has a diagram of X and Y axis orientation.
Are there any devices like this for slicer software? I would love to be able to download files and have the ability to slice and set up my printer on the go without the need for laptop.

Last question"Was it as good for you as it was for me?" 😏
good tip on ther Mainsail on port 8819. Didn't know that!
Just ordered one for my CR-200b. I plan on using it to print the ABS parts for my upcoming Voron 2.4 350mm build.
This is a great intro to Klipper before diving into the Voron. I loved building my V0.1!

Thanks for this video! Do you have a good profile and config for the ender 5s1? Are you using cura?

great review
Thank you!
Marlin has input shaper as well now
Sort of…

Love your content! Have you tried this with your i3 Mega? How fast can you print with this device using clipper while still getting great quality?

@@JJShankles please share the setup/config for the SKR 3-I3 Mega (Sonic pad is out for delivery)

Easy ? Oh yes , disconnect after 10 or 5 hour , its easy for sonic for other printers
You missed the biggest point... Speed
Weak device.😢

U are pushing ur luck with that many machines at once. This is not a high core count SOC. You will bog it down 1 day and kill all ur prints
I have over 6 days of print time on 2 of the printers and 12 days on my ender 7 I think it’s fine
That's awesome! Haha and I don't think some armchair quarterback knows your system better than you do.😂
Tyler have you tried to print from the USB Port on the Sonic Pad?
Was it difficult to set up for SV06?
Great video. Can you do an in depth video on input shaping and pressure advance with the Sonic Pad?
That's a good idea, I'm going to do a video covering several of the tip of using Klipper I think people need to know.
1:53 are the labels Klipper and Marlin swapped? That Kkipper print looks worse to me. Lots of ringing. Am I missing something?
I noticed that too.

Bought one and sent it back, So many bugs and updates break more things than they fix! Do not recommend it till they have properly fixed all the bugs!
What kind of bugs were you having?
@JJ Shankles bed leveling, time lapse errors, not finishing prints. Poor print quality even with it fully calibrated.
@@mightycain4725 I would totally return it if that happened. That sucks!
I connected sonic pad to my ender 5s1 and its worked but my printer screen gone.. just blue screen ? anyone knows why ?

I haven't seen a good one yet, but I think this is something that would be great for so many people.
the password for access with ssh?
Great review, I really want one.
Thank you!
