I'd guess it's a good idea to pay for Premium. You had excellent legroom and a pretty decent dinner. The breakfast snack was not impressive, but overall this appeared to be a good experience on a low-cost airline. I'm surprised that so many people go to Reunion.
lots of french go causes it's really a domestic flight ,many people have family and friends iether end, they use the euro ,speak french (most do anyway) and is beautiful with great hiking adventures and surfing but the latter does have many shark attacks
France is so unusual country, that domestic flights there take more than 10 hours. Unusual tripreports about flights to unusual destinations - that’s one of the things I love about Simply Aviation 😀👍✈️
In Europe Low-Cost Long-Haul Carriers have struggeled to be successful but in Asia specially South East Asia, Low Cost Airlines rulez. Even Singapore Airlines also had to created low cost airlines to compete other competitor. In SEA, a flight ticket equal to one whole month salaries.
French Bee SAS, styled as French bee, and formerly named French Blue, is a French low-cost, long-haul airline based at Paris Orly Airport. It operates a scheduled network between France and worldwide leisure destinations with a fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft. Its head office is in parent company Groupe Dubreuil's offices in the Belleville-sur-Vie area of Bellevigny, Vendée, France
That price was good for this route, and legroom was amazing for a low-cost airline. It's just the seat was quite narrow. Food also doesn't look very appealing, but considering COVID-19, it's totally understandable. I'd love to try them in the future
Thank you for this review! I traveled to Paris via French Bee two years ago and they were excellent. The crew was very sweet and efficient and it was a smooth ride, I still can't believe they're a low-cost airline. The only thing I didn't like were how narrow the seats were, I thought it was just me and my wide hips 😂
Technically an internal flight but via a lot of international territory.I don't know if you have to take a passport on these French Outer Territories flights but I would in case something happens and you get diverted to say Durban!
Fascinating video, thanks. Man, those stewardesses sound soooo damn sexy with their wonderful French accents... Shame the accountants had to squeeze in and extra row of seats - like budget flying isn't already a sodding nightmare enough...
what do you think about the seat ? On Air france it's horrible , unconfortable . On air austral the seat is good. It will be my first time on french bee .
Of the 30 plus airlines now flying the Airbus A350, only Air Carabies operate a 3 - 4 -3 configeration on this aircraft, now thats pushing it for comfort on an 11 hour flight. The livey of this airline has to amongs the best coolest in the world, beaten only by the Malysian A350. Paying a Premium fare on a French airline, I would at least expect some fresh fruit, cheese and a croissiant for breakfast. Seat 32 K is an excellent choice Felix, you did your homework on Seatguru. The poor dog at the end was barking for a pee after 11 hours :))
Air Caraibes only operates to Atlantic French islands, Rèunion and Mayotte have Air Austral as theirs and the French bee is common everywhere (even in pacific French islands) .. how strange right?? 😁
So I was wondering if you buy the most basic ticket, you wouldn't get Amenity kit and food (which includes that breakfast) right? So an 11 hours flight without any food is possible?
Except that its 16.5 inches Y seat width pushed this flight right back to solid LCC territory...oh sorry, ULCC(Ultra-Low Cost Carrier) territory to be exact. I guess the fancy IFE(In Flight Entertainment) system in this cabin does mask this LCC reality very well for pax who are super slim models typical in the fashion capital of Paris....
There is a Pakistani based airline called Air Blue. Jetblue never objected them unless if they travel to the United states. And in Brazil we have Azul Airlines which basically means Blue Airlines when translated haha.
Since there is no seat in front of 37K do all your bags need to be stored in the overhead bin? Can you leave a personal bag to your side / in front of you? Great vid! Thanks!
great report!. food quantity was terrible. i just did yvr-muc last week and got one hot meal all vegaterian no option and one drinks run in 9hr 30 min. shockimg for a so called 5 star airline in lufthansa
Well, 3-4-3 on A350 looks scarry, especially if it's set to become a standard (as it became standard on B777 and 3-3-3 on B787 - and the next things to fear would be 2-3 on E170-190 and 3-3 on A220). Some re-regulation in aviation industry establishing standards regarding the minimum living space for passengers would be necessary at this point
Sure you can, but why would you want to? Seems to me to be a very strange thing to serve as part of the main course. Probably tastes good, but I would expect it as part of a dessert.
The arrival runway at FMEE is always 14, the shortest one. Unless there are particular weather conditions, but those are rare cases. As for the departure runway at LFPO, I would guess from the sun that it is RW24, but I wouldn't play my life on it.
@@louisbeerreviews8964 You miss the point. Since Reunion is technically part of France--a department, not a possession or a colony, a flight there from Paris is technically a domestic flight. Not so for Thailand.

The approach into Reunion is beautiful! Hope to make it down there someday.
Yup it is
Once you eat the food you won't want to leave!
That shot from the back of the plane. Very awkward seat layout when downsizing from four across to three due to the plane's curvature

I believe there is a suction thingy to attach to the window pretty similar ot GPS holders in cars
Ok
WOW!!! I was not ready for that 😭
As a France, I can confirm to fly a French Bee Airbus A350-900 from Paris Orly to Réunion
Great video, that 3-4-3 seems tight , but did you feel comfortable ?
Yeah wasn’t to bad to be honest but yeah more cozy than the regular 3-3-3
Simply amazing and lovely
Great report! The intro is really nice!

In A350, economy class has 3-4-3. I’ve never seen that before.

3-3-3
Some A330s also have 3-3-3 which also is very tight
