Declan always had such a great team player attitude on top of being a phenomenal chef. Even if his dish wasn't the best, as long as the team won he was all for it
@@MrPengPeng123 I think that is one of the actual reasons why Declan didn't win. Gordon saw that he already had the skills to make his own name, and didn't need to have his career tied to Ramsay's shows. Could he have been an excellent head chef at Ramsay's restaurant? Sure, but any accolades he might earn in that position would still just have people say it was due to Ramsay actually calling the shots.
These interviews are recorded after the fact (obviously), and there is a producer on the other side asking questions about how the day went (already knowing what happened, and who did and didn't do well that day) and they ask questions already knowing what the answer they want is. It's all about how it's going to come together in the editing room. Remember, these TV shows have to condense an entire multi-hour day, plus these interviews into a 42 minute episode not counting commercials so they are very selective about what makes the final cut.
Man, season 19 had some absolute killers. So many standout chefs like Cody, Mary Lou, Declan, Kori, and even chefs like Nikki and Adam who didn't make it to the black jackets. Easily my favorite season since season 6.
It's still a huge crime for letting Amber gets Black Jacket over Nikki or Adam because Amber constanly whining, crying and complaining every time and she's still acting like a child.
It's ironic in the same day that Chris lead his team to win with his lobster pie, is also the same day he has to quit due to his PTSD. I hope he's doing well right now.

The fact joy beat Scott (the seasons winner) says a a lot about her talent. She should of been the finalist against either Scott or jason. She let her temper get the best out of her 😭🙉
Even if she was the finalist, she's gonna lose her temper when someone makes a mistake and probably gonna cry over one mistake. Also, both of Scott and Jason have good comeback stories. Scott went from being nominated 7 times even for no reason to be the actual winner while Jason went from didn't make it to opening night on Season 9 to be the runner up on Season 12.

Is that Richard Blais in the thumbnail? I remember watching him on "Top Chef" centuries ago, if I remember correctly he didn't even win that season but he was one of the few chefs who nailed that whole molecular, sous vide stuff in culinary without looking like a phony. The Animal chefs are honestly weird, they say a lot of bizarre things yet Gordon brings them back practically every year. Also their hair seems to get longer every season which is very off putting because you know they're not tying that up or wearing hairnets.
Well as always it depends. You don't slather a fish and chips in cheese and depending on how shrimp for instance is served cheese might not be ideal compared to a fish sauce or something but lobster ravioli is delicious and lobster in general is a nice addition to pasta. Depends on the type of cheese too IMHO.
