Having issues with the chrome on the door. I was watching your video but that whole part wasn't put in the video. Am I breaking off the black pieces that was holding the chrome?
@@ReejayL hey there, you don't necessarily have to break off those pieces but those black pieces hold the chrome really strong A lot of the black pieces for the Model X I worked on broke off
@@TeslaFPVthank you so much for the quick reply! I used a metal pry tool that looks like a two prong pitch fork with the opening in the middle. Then I was able to put the LED chrome piece on. It didn't sit flush at the end of the panel but it's covered when the door is closed so I'm fine with it
@@TeslaFPVmy driver side window just shattered randomly while no one was around. Was there anything i could have done to cause this? Tesla mobile service came out yesterday to replace the motor. But now I'm worried if it is the motor they will see I voided the warranty
@@ReejayL No, this kit does not have anything to do with the window or its components. The only part of your warranty that this would void would be your door trim
Can you tell me on the backrest seats do the lights move like the doors and dash? Also can you install the backrest lights so you can still put a back seat kick protector?
How do you feel about this install compared to the other you did that is non laser? I don’t really know the difference/advantages of one over the other if you could explain. If you had to do it all over again on model 3 would you go laser or stay with the kit you did.
I would choose the Model 3 laser kit. Thankfully @Tialloyelf makes this kit too! www.tialloyelf.com/products/3-y-laser-ambient-light2019-2023?_pos=1&_sid=2e0ba7822&_ss=r I plan on getting this and making a video for that (for the model 3) AND making a video comparing the two so stay tuned for that. BUT just writing it to you, I WOULD get the laser kit over the non laser. It is much brighter and since it is LED, it is much more customizable! The only thing is that it is a bit more time consuming to install!
@@TeslaFPV do you have a time frame in mind that you will be doing this? I think I’m gonna hold out until you do the video. The install looks pretty scary
if you go 2024 model x, the driver’s side door module issue. Only driver side. I put the cable to 2023 and 2022 model x they all works fine but 2024. If you can find any solution to fix please share with me bro.
After installed, the driver’s side front door doesn’t works properly, it opened fast to all the way opened, also I have to push really hard to close it, once I removed the cable and receiver the door back to normal. Anyone has any idea what’s going on 😢
@@TeslaFPV thanks. But I tested all doors without door panels, only driver’s side door inop. Tried to swapped cables from passenger door and still wont work. Just really frustrating
@@TeslaFPV thanks man. Really appreciate. But which door trim were you mentioning? Is that interior door trim piece on the panel or the exterior black gloss door trim?
This is something Tesla lacks in my opinion, the experience for such piece of high tech vehicle not coming with ambient light and heads up display. Pretty sure they would be able todo,e up with something much cooler than any after market upgrade, worse case scenario preventing their owners from such diy as shown here

hi yes,
I do not think they animate like the front.
You still can put back the seat kick protector, cheers!
Can you tell me how you mounted the lights on the back seats so you can still use the back kick protectors.
Sorry one more question does it come with paper instructions thanks a lot sir
Hi 👋🏼, I don't recall if it came with paper instructions or not, I've done this before so I didn't even look :) but there are online videos :)
It’s really weird, 2024 x module wouldn’t works with it but any early years works perfectly
