Thank you for this tip. Those Hammerloks will be handy. Connecting the safety chains of my travel trailer is a fiddly process usually involving a specific entry technique so the spring loaded clips don’t snag. I was just going to get a U-Bolt but this looks more substantial and weight rated.
Absolutely! Ultimately I wish Ford would make it easier to just hook straight up to the truck. I went through the same process and have tried a couple different things but the weight rating was a concern of mine. This is definitely a good option and should provide that peace of mind. It be a lot easier if the supposed engineers at Ford would actually develop a functional hitch… you can tell the current one was developed by pencil pushers who don’t tow. 🙄
