I really hate that I don't have a work surface. I got the 2022 F150 Platinum and like you said you'd think that they would just have them standard.. Thanks for the great video, I think I'm going to start stalking eBay and places like that to see if I can pick myself up one. It also doesn't make sense that you can't just go to the dealer and order one to either have them install or take home and install one yourself like you did here.

Couldn't you just remove the og arm rest from the hinge and then add the work surface in place of that one?
No it's all one piece and it is shaped differently. But that would have been great if that was the case. Thanks for watching!
Would the 2021-2023 ones fit on the 2024?
I would think so… they have not vastly improved the console in this refresh period (2024) you should be good but I’d call a dealership and ask a parts rep to be on the safe side! Also, find one off eBay! It will cost you a small fortune to buy from ford! Thanks for watching!

I cannot, for the life of me, find one of the interior work surface center console lids. I have a non-work surface on my '21 XLT and want to swap it out for an IWS version but cannot find one on ebay or any where else online.
i'm looking for a max recline drivers chair from a higher model for my XLT too, can't find anything

@@theoverdriveconsumerchanne4424 Thank you! I have been scowering EBay and came across this user but have been unsuccessful finding an XLT trim interior work surface lid. I would like to keep the components on par with the trim and do not really want to put a Platinum IWS lid on my XLT lol. I will keep checking Ebay but appreciate you responding on here!

Personally I'm not a fan of the work surface. Its a shame that two nickels are the only way to keep the damn lid up. To each his own I guess.
I did notice the differencece in what you're talking about but I rarely go in my center console… maybe that is why it doesn't bother me as much. Great point though. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
