@@SerechII 【Edit within Edit LOL】 My comment became super long so you don't have to reply to everything. I'm not trying to debate. 【Edit】 Do you mean "design" as in the whole concept of a Ninja village and it's super anime characters? If so, then you need to look at the mainline series older than World. Monster Hunter always had lots of anime-esque characters. Heck, many of the armour you get to wear has a totally different aesthetic than the overall environment. Have you ever been to Yukumo Village? That's just like Kamura Village. The only difference is the limitations of graphics back then, and that the villagers don't fight with you (←which is what I loved about Rise the most aside from finally having a dog companion). Once again, Rise is not a mainline series so the devs could go all out on their anime dreams. But if it's not you cup of tea, then you are completely entitled to your opinion. Just don't say it sucks when you haven't played it (I'm not saying you did). I think Rise is a great idea because it slightly deviates from the mainline series' motto of keeping the game grounded in reality. This series has been going on for 20 years. A little bit of change wouldn't hurt, as long as it isn't permanent. We need to remember that not everybody in the world likes Monster Hunter's "slow" (notice the quotation marks), "clunky" combat system, and rather want to go wham wham wham. Rise gave those kinds of people a chance at enjoying Monster Hunter. (even though it still isn't wham wham wham, but you get my point) Geez. My comment became way longer than I thought. You don't need to reply/explain to all my points. It's just a really bad habit of mine. It's completely fine that you don't like the concept of Rise. It's not a mainline game so it's not gonna be permanent. (If it was, then then even I would have a real issues with it.) --------------------------------- 【Before Edit】(I didn't think what you meant by "design") What did you hate about it? You hate the wire bug system that completely changed the fighting style of the game? Well, you don't need to use it if you don't want to. In fact, I am one of the very rare people who hardly used the wire bug system during fighting a monster. LOL I'm a simpleton. I completely suck at learning combos so I just shoot monsters pew pew pew. You don't need to use Palamutes if you don't want to. You don't need to use the fast travel system if you don't want to. You don't need to mount a monster if you don't want to. There is nothing that stops you from playing Rise like the mainline series. TBH it baffles me if you don't like Rise but you're gonna play Wilds, because Wilds has so many things that were inherited by Rise's system.

@@NowakP Each MH is an innovation on previous game and has a special vibe to it, especially going from 5th gen games onward, I think it's hard to satisfy the new and old audiences alike because a lot people love the jank of the og games while a lot more love the new QoL stuffs, like in combat stuffs will get added more and more and it less and less like the "oldschool way", Souls-like with Elden Ring also face this problem. But seeing Wild I really get this is the vision of developers, what they couldn't back then with hardware limitation - like the sceneries you see far away in old games were 2d pictures, now you can actually get there.
Really proud of the Monster Hunter devs. So many years of being a very niche game and they stuck with it rather than let the IP die and now this. It just takes one game to breakout. It was a good idea moving it from Nintendo exclusive.
It's funny, I really think that Monster Hunter handles diversity correctly, doesn't feel forced and makes sense because of the area they're set in, most importantly, they don't EXCLUDE pretty / hot characters like they'd do in other media and games for the sake of their idea of """""""""inclusion"""""""""".
Monster Hunter games scratch that part of my brain the same way Souls games do, It's something very unique to these games and that's why Western copycats seem so soulless in comparison.
One of the things that I appreciate about the MH series is that if you've played previous MH games, you pretty much know how to play the new one, minus whatever new mechanics they've introduced. So many games have this weird habit of trying to reinvent the play mechanics with every game, and it's just so unnecessary.

Tbf, it doesn't even have gender at all, you literally just just a preset body type. You're character can even wear whatever armour they want (masculine/feminine).
Fan since the beginning and have to say that I had a blast with Wilds. The game is really intensive to run. Since it is the beta I am hoping they can iron it out a bit more, because I was struggling with a consistent 60fps with 4080s, 7800x3D, and 64gb ram at 4K. Dropped it down to 1440p and was running really smooth, but it is just too hard to run for the average gamers PC. One thing I am super happy about is the performance when it comes to stutters. I had a frametime graph up for about an hour of gameplay a they were few and far between. I have high hopes for the release.
I have similar specs except I have half the RAM. 4k 60fps was pretty easy to achieve. Did you use frame generation with a unlimited cap fps? I had to dial in my settings. Unlimited fps and frame generation seems to work against themselves. Worked much better locking in 60.
@@KaizerWarrex Actually yeah I did have my frames uncapped. I can't remember that ever affecting performance in other games, but my library of games is also not too big. If I have time before the beta closes I will test it capped at 60.
@@ErrorGameManiac Yeah people are going to struggle badly if they don't improve it quite a lot on the actual release. Steam survey for October has the 3060, 4060, 1650, and, and 2060 as the most common GPUs.
Nioh 2 also had the custom hair lengths, I'd say they went a step further as you could change the sides and front of the hairstyles too, making for tons of combinations.

Minus the wirebug, it handles like Rise. Makes sense I guess because it's on the same engine. MHW was on the old one they used. I'm just happy they made the camera distance actually work compared to MHW moving back like an extra 2 feet. Content like Worlds, gameplay like Rise = happy camper here.
Didn't play a single sequel after Monster Hunter P3 So many years go by I can't believe it still feels like the same authentic Monster Hunter but better in every single aspect.
Monster hunter 3 on the Wii is PEAKKKK! love that game, i like the more believable cutscenes, i love the old greatsword fighting, and all the nuances of the Wii controller. i love the old style and music, and strategy. i love Chacha, and ALMOST everything else! and Tho I'm 100% gonna buy this game. i do wish they'd of kept how the greatsword attacked. and didn't make the story so absurdly grandiose. like the into where they dive off the ship onto a "horse" to save a child from a swarm of sandworms, by grappling a bird which somehow creates 6 sonic bombs that are used to slow them down, etc etc.. just doesn't go as hard as something simpler would have. like a more cinematic version of saving Chacha from the baby jaggys. ya know?
I have a family issue and have zero time for gaming I stopped playing from the beginning of Monster Hunter Rise DLC. But I already pre-order MH Wild. The series is just that good people can safely buy without review!
Bro I was amazingly impressed with the intro to the beta. I didn't play anything past that though. I did some combos to see how it played. The character creation was amazing too. I look forward to this a lot. It looks like way better than world and I enjoyed world a lot on ps4
I'm just gonna put out that the game now lets you choose if you want wear male of female armor, have female or male voice, etc... But no one cared or got mad. Why? Because the game is good and don't shove it in your face.
As a female player, I am SO happy that now I FINALLY get to become a frilled lizard instead of being forced to be Jar Jar Binks. (I'm talking about the Great Jaggi head set)
I mean there was some outcry. Some of the monster hunter channels discussed it. It was mostly on twitter, and some people on UA-cam calling it woke. Someone posted a whole video as a "fan" stating they wouldn't be playing the game because of it. Never got it, because if you didn't like it you could just... not do it? Where the normal set? And considering the armor thing was something that the fanbase wanted for years, I really have to wonder how big of a fan they are.
@syrag2598 yerp, those are tourists who know nothing about the franchise and probably won't stick to the series for too long, fans have been wanting this for years so we can mix and match armor pieces. I'm sure as hell Imma rock that female congalala head piece which is dreads instead of the male helmet
@@aweebname6138 I'm pretty sure their complaints weren't about getting rid of gendered armor lock and more about type 1, 2 body (common in woke games), putting male voice on female body and viceversa, and getting rid of female characteristic walk in the game.
I'm a really big fan of how they handled gunlance in wilds, it's like an in-between of world and rise which is exactly what I wanted pretty much. The shield actually being useful finally with the addition of perfect reload block also means you won't be forced as much to adopt an evade lance playstyle. Shelling also doesn't just vaporize your sharpness anymore, so gunlance will probably feel a lot more playable in early game wilds than most prior titles featuring gunlance
YES! I played gunlance in world and my sharpness just evaporates and the shells themselves didn’t feel that powerful. But now they’ve made the shells better and given the lance more movement and even more/better ways to use shells. Gunlance and great sword are gonna be my mains i think.
If you miss a wake up hit with a great sword now... You just suck lol. You literally can aim it now and turn while charging and change direction while in swing.
try the demo its free on steam, the game runs like absolute dog.... on anything less than a 4090 so prepeare to play on 30 fps or to pay 5K for a new Pc.

My comment became super long so you don't have to reply to everything.
I'm not trying to debate.
【Edit】
Do you mean "design" as in the whole concept of a Ninja village and it's super anime characters?
(even though it still isn't wham wham wham, but you get my point)
Geez. My comment became way longer than I thought.
You don't need to reply/explain to all my points. It's just a really bad habit of mine.
It's completely fine that you don't like the concept of Rise. It's not a mainline game so it's not gonna be permanent. (If it was, then then even I would have a real issues with it.)
---------------------------------
【Before Edit】(I didn't think what you meant by "design")
What did you hate about it?
Okay it's such a small detail but I love how at 1:13:39 you can see your Palico bump into another and they react to it! It's touches like this that really show the quality and care.😸😸

It's crazy how the music on the character creation screen sounds nothing like typical Monster Hunter. Also the 2 female "helper" characters are obviously way more attractive than in World or in the series in general. We're going mainstream with this one boys!
Well World sold 20M and Rise 15M, I think MH is already mainstream since World.

Correction: more diversity than EVERY SBI game
@@YAH93 correction: look at what they have to do to imitate a fraction of our diversity
