Watched that video, too. He explained his issues with the award and tribalism perfectly. She'll probably get some backlash if she wins. But I doubt it would affect her much. She's not very familiar with the Anglosphere of the internet. Heck, she didn't even know she was nominated until someone told her, nor did she know that the award was a thing. So she'll stay oblivious. Other than that she's used to toxic "fans" in Japan, so, yeah. It'll pass.

yeah, i find they're honestly very easy to avoid. i only really hear of their existence(s) from videos like these. except for codemiko, i used to watch her interviews, they were pretty funny.
A lot of the same thing happened when Projekt Melody was the top performer on chaturbate when she first debuted online. All the other camgirls were complaining that she wasn't going through the same sacrifices they had to with revealing theirs faces/body in their videos, and that wasn't fair that she didn't have to and was more popular.

All this is definitely making jealousy even more. Edit: I think the name was K-son or something. Even if they're not attractive, just face reveal in general tbh is complete unnecessary security and privacy risk. If you can't compete with the anime women, that's your fault, not hers. That's how I see this sorta thing. Complaining that someone has found success while taking a different approach from the 'norm is dumb. Not liking someone and feeling entitled to harass them are two completely different things. People don't understand that the internet today reflects reality much more than it used to, and anonymity has almost disappeared, especially in the realm of social media comments.

Everyone complaining about not showing their real face while also tweeting with an anime profile pic is absolutely priceless. Anonymity is the main game of the internet, no reason to throw yourself any further unless its important. I know a handful of VTubers and not only do they all have their own very valid reasons for not showing themselves, but if we compare them to the current mass wave of young streamers, its upsetting that an Anime PNG causes them to cope so hard that they think its some weird culture war no ones fighting lmao.
Retaining anonymity for the sake of preventing bad actors to attack you outside the internet was common internet etiquette up until companies learned they could sell your private data or have an easier time handing out longer-lasting consequences for undesired behaviour if they had your real name, adress and social security number.
@@anders8204Yeah. It terrified me how much MySpace and Facebook changed the zeitgeist of anonymity on the internet, and it still terrifies me today. @anders8204 it's insane how much people could've learned from 4chan in the late 00s. Female here, I do not think like this. I love vtuber designs and I think they are really cool. They provide female streamers the safety to stream without compromising their identity.

Sadly a lot of VTuber fans are like this too. Just ask Dokibird/Selene's fans. They kept harassing innocent Nijisanji EN streamers that had nothing to do with the whole scandal, even when Doki/Selene asked them to stop. How ironic, doing the very thing their oshi (favorite in Japanese, for those who don't know its a comment term among the VTubing community) tried to unalive herself for (well, among other things). 🙄
Connor doesn't show the full clip obviously, But in less than 10 minutes IronMouse not only met her goal, but exceeded it. And cried so much at the outpouring of love, she had to end her stream early.
Ironmouse has been streaming way longer than Kai and people are pissed I find it hard to believe people are completely dumbassery and know about she's been on twitch before Kai broke the big record These people either hate for success or hate her because they are desperate for attention
They hate her success because they forcibly turned Kai into their role model. I kinda feel bad for him. He did a gambling sponsor and his community acted as if he ever said he was above that or was moral pillar. It’s getting really annoying
For anyone wondering why Mouse has a high pitch voice, its because she is on an oxygen machine nearly 24/7 and has heavy lung damage. She has only in the last couple of years started to get her range and stamina back due to having money for better machines, better medicines, and more motivation to practice/train. She is on very purely concentrated oxygen which does things to your voice much like how helium does (not exactly the same way of course but same concept). This was confirmed by Mouse herself, there have been multiple people who have visited her house, Connor has seen pictures. To the argument that we don't "know" that, this is the same argument as saying the world is flat and the moon isn't real, there is no amount of proof that will ever convince people who make those arguments. Even if Mouse doxxed herself people would just say its a fake doxxing to throw people off and so on, its an unwinnable battle because one side just has to keep saying its fake.
This, this is my biggest irk about this situation, we have plenty of witness that confirm her story and no matter how many people with a reliable oppinion on the topic we get, some people just can't believe someone in that situation can simply exist or deserve empathy, egocentric behavior none the less and many claims of trying to pedo bait, it is disgusting

It's even worse if ppl express their jealousy, but haven't even attempted it themselves. I give some "sympathy/understanding" for those that have at least tried😅, but have been unsuccessful (a little caveat is they are actually good and not delusional, ie those singers on American Idol that are horrendous, but think they were born to sing) I can understand that a little more. However, it seems a lot of them are not self aware either.
Pretty much same thought as me but I think the reason why people do that kind of stuff is because some people can't find any better way to express their emotions, in other words, they lack of emotional intelligence or intelligence in general (sorry if some grammar are wrong, English is my second language)
People vastly overestimate the reasoning behind this behaviour. Its not complex or some personality thing. Its the same reason bullying happens. Its just fun to be a jerk for a lot of people. Its a primal urge. And online its just way easier to get away with.
“Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.” Some people will and will tend to act like a Jack @$$ to random people for no reason at all on the internet (AKA Haters) and the same applies to IRL outside world.
Most of the time it isn't that bullies are having fun. Their actions just make them feel better about their own crappy lives. Normal people who are happy with their lives aren't out there harassing and tearing others down.
It's even simpler than that for majority of these comments. The intention isn't malicious. Most of these comments sound like people who are simply ignorant...
What normal people do when they do not like a certain content creator: Ignores them and never watch them again. What these weirdos do when they do not like a certain content creator: Spend more time posting hate about them then their fans spend watching them.
Yup… Plus not giving ANY engagement does more against the content creator you don’t like than writing comments after comments being hateful, hate-watching videos, etc…
Hatred is a drug for these people, they need it, it gives them purpose. It doesn’t matter who gets attacked or why as long as they get to vent their sad insecurities.
It in many cases has become the internet now, sadly. A place for innovation, creativity and entertainment, sure - but that's the face of it. The back-end of the internet will forever be the saddest individuals on the planet taking their misplaced anger and tossing it at any moving target that reminds them of their complexities and sad lives. Seems to be increasing in popularity too, which is surprising.. I guess as we become more technologically advanced, people become less able minded, individualistic and driven - which they themselves hate themselves for enough to probe those who actually make something out of their lives.
it's not really drug per say, our brains are wired to problem solve, and when your life has no issues your brain will create problems where there aren't any to keep doing what it's designed to do, if utopia was real we'd go insane because of this this is why most activists on non-issues are rich kids

Most of the things she's getting hate for now are pretty stupid but you have to be a certain kind of special to believe her voice back then wasn't an intentional choice.

The charity part I 100% agree with and giver her a pass on raising money to help them and herself. I just think most Vtubers come off as putting on an act and comes off as cringe. Most of them are like that for me or are just goon bait. Your connecting point was that you dislike it when a content creator is putting on an act to play a character depicted by an avatar, but you do like it when a content creator is putting on an act to seem more goofy, exaggerated and entertaining. Your argument was not cohesive and failed to properly explain what the two sides being male or female had to do with anything, therefore it seems like you just don't like watching female streamers. Funny how the pepegas talk about why they wont show their faces when just recently a Camilla had her fan mail posioned with an air tag and was tracked down by a Stalker. Meanwhile, vtubers in Japan have their homes broken into and have the vilest death threats issued to them and people still wonder why they would rather remain anonymous. Not every creator has Kai Cenat money to move around followed by a security entourage and live in a gated community, isolated from their parasocials. Mouse is allegedly a frail woman confined to a bed, her only and last line of defense is her anonymity.
In her case it is quite literally a life and death issue. If some deranged fans would break into her home they could easily end up killing her via some infection they bring with them.
minor nit on the last point: she's sufficiently healed to the point she's not bedridden anymore, and due to (expensive) treatments she's receiving in an ongoing basis, she can leave her house for basic needs. she's still very limited in her exercise ability, and she can't do too much irl, but she's improved a lot since she first started.
All these people being super invested in this fake war they brewed between her need to go outside. Smell some flowers, kick a ball around, pet a cat, do something off the internet.
I feel like every single time the internet goes insane about how much it hates vtubers, it completely validates their decision to hide behind an avatar.
Because they enjoy being hated? Are you confused? If they stopped with the avatars, they would stop getting sht on. The vtuber status is the source material for the bullying. Actually crazy to say that you believe all vtubers are "300 lbs men living in their mom's basement" when you can find so many of the girls behind the vtubers doing their own irl streams or content. Bonus points if they call them "AI shit" too (obviously excluding Neuro). Thing is, a lot of these vtubers don't like to flaunt their IRL selves, and the Vtuber anonymity gives a layer of protection against haters. Female vtubers who are played by male content creators are not hiding that the person behind is a guy. Even some of those who do ASMR content for coomers wouldn't hide it; they'd just think that the guy voice might ruin the content/performance. @@Jayonase425i mean, if you're not attractive what's the point of face reveal, you might lose some audiance that way. And perfect example of this is dream.
On that "Women dislike vtubers because vtubers don't have to dress up" That's genuinely a reason like five vtubers I watch started vtubing. They were fleshies first, and then decided that putting on pants was too much work but they didn't want to do stuff on the hub so they bought a model.
1:56 Surprise, Asmongold is completely wrong here. Instagram is probably the only social media i have and almost every single comment section has some kind of insult/hatred at the top, especially if its controversial or emotional in any way. They have no sympathy there, UA-cam is just little kids being kids
Vtubing is a good idea for people who are shy, or don’t think their face suits the camera, or (like Asmon said) save them time putting makeup for the camera. My only negative for it is that lose a certain level on connection with someone by not being able to see their face and to properly gauge their reactions. But that’s just my problem, my opinion.
@ yeah there are people who don’t use cameras at all, thats fine. It all comes down to personal preference. Plenty of streamers out there to choose from.
As you say, it's a preference thing and that's fine, but I think that perceived loss of connection is intentional in some cases. If it just flat out makes them less entertaining then yeah that sucks, but if it somehow stops more parasocially inclined viewers from getting quite as attached to them as they would otherwise, it can be considered a worthy sacrifice.
And that's the thing, there are trade offs - some people are ok to use their face, and sacrifice anonymity, some are not. Some want to be more creative with a model, some want to do more IRL content.
The hate for Vtubers just boils down to jealousy let's be honest. The people actively getting butthurt about someone using an anime character to generate money are just jealous they didn't do it first.
I don't like it because it's a bad influence on society. People shouldn't get parasocial attachments to anime girls with cutesy voices because it harms their real-world socialization skills, and if it's a loli character, that's even worse. Saying it's "jealousy" shows you haven't thought about it much.
8:58 The first requirement to be a vtuber is looking good/visually appealing people spend thousands of dollars on that, but what really seperates them is their personality because looking attractive is a must in this oversaturated industry
Social media highlights the more extreme views . But most normal people tend to have the most normal opinions , and they aren’t spamming tweets or insta posts
Pekora will just take it like it's breakfast, she's been through worse. Japanese trolls are much worse and more wily than the people we have here, heck 4chan is just a puny copy of what they have in Japan.
You feel that way because there is a proven track record of it happening. Literally the award Ironmouse won as shown in the video. The main differences this time, if Pekora wins, would be that 1) she is part of a company, not an independent (which Ironmouse basically is, VShojo is little more than a friendship group), so on top of the many friends she made with staff and other talents at the company she has a stable, contractually obligated support network and easy access to legal action if things get extreme (not saying Ironmouse's friends wouldn't stand up for her, but all of those bonds are emotional and can be unreliable even if it's nobody's fault unlike having a salaryman whose literal 9-5 job it is to make sure you're able to do yours; and we know from Ironmouse still getting unchecked amounts of hate to this day and the Hogwarts Legacy incident that VShojo is next to useless for protecting their members) 2) she is Japanese, producing Japanese content, for a primarily Japanese audience; the double defence of foreign language and culture makes her unlikely to recognise the hate to begin with, let alone be offended or affected by it, and as others have said idol culture has a history of people much more dangerous than this that they have already learned to deal with.
I don't understand the idea "i hate them because it takes less effort." So people are mad because they(vtubers) found a more efficient way to entertain, do their job? Isnt that what everyone should be aiming for? Efficiency?
but isn’t it really more effort? it inherently takes more effort to set up a model and puppeteer it to get the proper facial expressions and move it around the screen and do specific animations, vs simply pointing a camera at your face and calling it a day.
@@creamyusbport4647 It depends on the approach, but yes there is more of a barrier to VTubing, at least initially. You don't have to make the model and set up the rigging yourself, it's much more common to commission a professional to do this - but then the barrier changes form, from skill to money, but it's still there, and either way it takes time (unless you buy up an 'adoptable' design that's already been made, but that has its own pros and cons). It's a major front-loaded investment and even if VTubers seem more successful there's still no guarantee you would take off and it can end up being time and money down the drain. For a person that is not certain that they want to be a streamer, it's a big risk.
@@creamyusbport4647 Yep. As an ex vtuber I can attest to having to have 20-30 minutes before my stream as a buffer to make sure the setup works correctly. Ok, I'm not spending an hour on hair and makeup and can essentially stream in my pyjamas, but the tech issues are out of this world. Everything might be working correctly one second then suddenly the tracking on your model has screwed up and you spend 10 minutes trying to fix it.
@@creamyusbport4647 You're probably right, I have zero idea how it actually works behind the scene. What I meant is; the haters themselves believe its less work and this belief is making them angry. Which doesn't make sense to me. Nobody should be mad because someone else found an efficient way to complete a job.
If I was kai, I'd be messaging her team and asking for the ban lists of anyone who was rude to her "in his honor" or however he would put it. I'd ban them off my own stream. No one needs toxic people like that on their streams and causing problems outside of the stream especially. They all go if they are this deranged. Maybe they could use that extra free time to reflect or bump another key full. People need to chill. Imagine online anonymity disappeared but everything your anonymous accounts posted remained? Imagine how fast these people would flip out knowing anything they've ever said was open for all to see with their real names and pictures. I'm not saying it should happen, but there are more people than not, who are (or should be) ashamed of what they've posted. I can say the same... When I was like 15 but I'm almost double that age now and can confidently say that was a dumbass phase I went through that most kids do. 24:30 "Ignorance is not an excuse" is literally the most bullshit excuse to not communicate as a human. If you knew everything you didnt know, it would require that you already know every thing.
The people hating on V-tubers for how much money they make, forget the hours of steaming they've likely done to one or two people... the number of hours spent making shorts, deciding on and planning new content, gimmicks, the amount most of them spend on updating models, because theyre being compared to people like hololive, many of whom... ALSO spend literally hours and days in the week doing overtime making sure their content is high quality.. and they have teams of people to help them do it.
And reality is that only tiny minority of them make money... And even some corpos who should allow their streamers to print money have entirely crashed and burned. Looking at their newest members and seeing sub-minimum wage numbers is just astonishing.
@@_Ekaros Oh yeah agree, i have friends v-tubing making nothing. But that's the point I'm making, sure you can make huge amounts of money.. but like every other job you're competing with workaholics and people who have way more resources than you, there's oversaturation even within the successful companies and a lot of it is right place, right time. Also completely ignores the huge gap between Hololive and Holostars
And like all small streamers that are just starting out, you have to remember they're almost never doing it full-time, it's either a hobby for fun/passion or a side hustle, and they're doing it while holding down a 'real' job.
I was a bit wierded out by Vtubers originally, and only warmed u pto the idea when I realized the type of technology that they were using and pushing forward. Face tracking, eye tracking, base station assisted body tracking, motion capture suits, and full motion non-base station assisted mo-cap. Combine it with technologies to mimic human facial features like being happy, sad, angry etc. Scary technology in the wrong hands, but it's fascinating to watch as it improves. The first Vtubers would only be able to look left, right, and open or close their mouths. Now we have 2.5D models which are technically 2d but they have to much development time and artistry involved that the model can look in any direction, the eyes are independent, the mouth and cheeks mimic what the person is doing in real life, even as far as being able to stick your tongue out. The advancements have been so fast its amazing
there is a lot of creativity involved as well :) artists can make a lot of money on designing models or rigging them (doing the motion options and stuff) and its lots of set up and technology behind it. Cant even be lazy for it, cause it also needs lots of work. It just takes of pressure i guess.

The precious famoly is from when it was just her and a few people. She has tried to change it a few times, but her community had a large backlash against her and she caved. It has recently went missing if you watch newer streams.
You do get something, you get the feeling of happiness from doing something nice ( if you believe thats nice ). I dont watch live streams and i wont ever donate... i have mouths to feed... but everything you do its also for your personal satisfaction... when you help a person you feel good cause you did it so that is its owm reward! If you believe that people help eachother purely because they really want to help and nothing else you have the wrong idea about the world. People do drugs because it makes them feel something, some people are addicted to sad feelings and are always causing drama for example... the point is anything can be considered a "reward"
is it just me or did so many V-tubers turn out to be super hot IRL this seems like an important point. That going 2D was a downgrade but what they get out of it was worth the downgrade
I think the stigma of Vtubers is that; Since they came originally from Japan or are stylized as anime avatars; people think they're doing this to pander to the lonely male otakus, who as the internet portrays are pathetic losers and want to live a fantasy digital life. This is just pathetic thinking, and they really either need to watch these vtubers (I highly recommend Sakura Miko for the laughs) or just avoid them completely if they know nothing about these very witty, funny and talented people.
It is true, though. vTubers are designed to appeal to people who like anime. If people started making Disney avatars, don't you think that would be pandering to people who like Disney? Use your brain.
@@jextra1313 Yes, you said it, but didn't include the inference apart from people who like anime. What I'm inferring is that the negative stigma is due to the OTAKU culture that likes anime girls, not the regular anime fans. I don't think there would be as much backlash from these people who aren't really into anime if not for the negative stereotype that many (mostly male) anime fans that are into these things are basement dwelling losers. And that's the negative connotation there, but as much as there are extreme fans, there are also regular fans that can enjoy vtubers as well and these people can't seem to understand that. Now let's take your example about making Disney Avatars; would it be taken negatively if internet personalities hide behind Disney-like avatars? Would there be as much backlash if they win awards? Will they be more accepted since it came from the west rather than the east? Is there a widely accepted negative stigma about people who enjoy Disney like those that enjoy anime? Because that is the direction that I see why vtubers are seen negatively. Sorry if I don't use my brain much, too tired from work.
mold is the silent killer, if people are getting sick just being inside your house then it's probably very likely you have some kind of mold situation. i think for a few grand you can have your house professionally checked and cleaned.
I used to deny vtubers are the future or the next generation. I hated them as much I hated weebs or otaku. But in my country, almost half of the all streamers are vtubers now, they earn tons of money, their project sells tons of music albums, open a concert in a stadium and now they are literally everywhere irl. I still don't watch them or like them but now I admit that they are economically highly marketable model and might be the future of streamer scene.
I think it's crazy the only reason you dont hate people just doing their own thing in their own time in their own space is because there is economic profit coming from it.
I don't get the whole "VTubers aren't real people" argument. Like, they're just normal ass streamers that use avatars because zoomers and gen alpha are too brain-cooked to know how to react to content if there's not a face on the screen and the streamer doesn't want to facecam. Like are you gonna say Jim Henson isn't real? It's the same shit, bro. The blanket hate is crazy considering how normalized VTubers have become.
I had a friend that was not 'conventionally attractive', did quite a good job as a streamer (~700-1400 viewers, sometimes more), but she put a heck of a lot of work into the stream, chased up contacts and networked, treated it like a business, and built up a community and personality around her brand. She definitely did not have the 8-10/10 pretty privilege that you apparently 'need'. Granted, she ended up adopting the vTuber lifestyle, but her avatar was quite modest, and as far as I am aware, her viewership didn't take a hit.
This is interesting to me because I can’t understand WHY anyone would want to do that as a career. Does she still do it longterm & earns a livable salary to pay her rent & such? I feel like I would be bored out of my mind within a week lol 😂
@@scarletsletter4466 As an guesstimate, she was a 'fleshtuber' for about 3-4 years, and then made the swap not long after vTubers started to pop off, so being doing it for quite some time. She does appear to be on hiatus at the moment though. Initially it was an after work / days off gig, but got to the point she was making connections and 600-700$AUD /week. That is certainly comparable to an 'average', "low skilled", day to day salary in Australia (albeit probably a worse hourly rate given hours invested). Some people will and will tend to act like a Jack @$$ to random people for no reason at all on the internet (AKA Haters) and the same applies to IRL outside world.
Most of the time it isn't that bullies are having fun. Their actions just make them feel better about their own crappy lives. Normal people who are happy with their lives aren't out there harassing and tearing others down.

What these weirdos do when they do not like a certain content creator: Spend more time posting hate about them then their fans spend watching them.

My point is, it's not that hard to be positive and to have morals even when you are not "successful".
Yeah, in a similar situation. I've always been grateful for what I have. My house may be ghetto as fk but it's a house at the end of the day. I'm not starving. Funny how the pepegas talk about why they wont show their faces when just recently a Camilla had her fan mail posioned with an air tag and was tracked down by a Stalker. Not every creator has Kai Cenat money to move around followed by a security entourage and live in a gated community, isolated from their parasocials.

And that's the thing, there are trade offs - some people are ok to use their face, and sacrifice anonymity, some are not. Some want to be more creative with a model, some want to do more IRL content.
Guys going off about Kai n Ironmouse and I'm here like... Who's Kai?
The hate for Vtubers just boils down to jealousy let's be honest. The people actively getting butthurt about someone using an anime character to generate money are just jealous they didn't do it first.
I don't like it because it's a bad influence on society. People shouldn't get parasocial attachments to anime girls with cutesy voices because it harms their real-world socialization skills, and if it's a loli character, that's even worse. Saying it's "jealousy" shows you haven't thought about it much.
no, it really doesn't if you stop living in an incel fantasy land. Most people are mad because this caters to creeps
@@jextra1313 This right here is why its bad.
@@jextra1313 IRL streamers are full of parasocials as well, so I hope you apply this same standard there, too.
@@lamywater It is also bad, but less so, because the attatchment is to a real person, not a fantasy character.

It's not even poison or toxin anymore. It's the wither effect + decay
8:58 The first requirement to be a vtuber is looking good/visually appealing people spend thousands of dollars on that, but what really seperates them is their personality because looking attractive is a must in this oversaturated industry
1:10 this is Asmons problem, he doesnt leave his house and lets social media form his opinions on reality.
Yeah he needs to interact with actual people cause twitter does not symbolize humanity.
Indeed.
Social media highlights the more extreme views . But most normal people tend to have the most normal opinions , and they aren’t spamming tweets or insta posts

Why do i feel if pekora wins this year, a lot of people is gonna be really toxic about it.
Gana be funny if she wins.
Pekora will just take it like it's breakfast, she's been through worse. Japanese trolls are much worse and more wily than the people we have here, heck 4chan is just a puny copy of what they have in Japan.
If the award going to be held on Sunday, pekora will be just watching horse racing, gambling. Lmao
@@kuronoch.1441Fr?
You feel that way because there is a proven track record of it happening. Literally the award Ironmouse won as shown in the video.
The main differences this time, if Pekora wins, would be that
1) she is part of a company, not an independent (which Ironmouse basically is, VShojo is little more than a friendship group), so on top of the many friends she made with staff and other talents at the company she has a stable, contractually obligated support network and easy access to legal action if things get extreme (not saying Ironmouse's friends wouldn't stand up for her, but all of those bonds are emotional and can be unreliable even if it's nobody's fault unlike having a salaryman whose literal 9-5 job it is to make sure you're able to do yours; and we know from Ironmouse still getting unchecked amounts of hate to this day and the Hogwarts Legacy incident that VShojo is next to useless for protecting their members)
2) she is Japanese, producing Japanese content, for a primarily Japanese audience; the double defence of foreign language and culture makes her unlikely to recognise the hate to begin with, let alone be offended or affected by it, and as others have said idol culture has a history of people much more dangerous than this that they have already learned to deal with.

Asmond is getting old😢
I don't understand the idea "i hate them because it takes less effort." So people are mad because they(vtubers) found a more efficient way to entertain, do their job?
Also being a vtuber is hard. Trust me. I tried 😂. It's hard as heck. No easier than when I face streamed. It's all the same difficulty.
I don't say anything close to that crap now or will ever again. Some of these other people however, They still talking like a 10 y/o today! lol
Ironmouse is one of the nicest, humble, and most grateful creators out there. Hating her is like hating a cute puppy.
Ignorance is bliss. But when you constantly ignore everything even when people are telling you it's bad, then it's unacceptable.
People not realizing Mouse's childlike voice is her actual voice 😂
Trying to watch all this content is a full time job
People get mad at stolen valor. Vtubers activate the stolen valor response for hot girls
Get mad at plastic surgeons then too because they provide "stolen valor" to most OF and e-girls.

Poor ironmouse, she doesn't deserve this hate. I could see why i wasn't allowed to have a phone until i was mature enough to afford it on my own dime. These online kids are jerks and theyre probably not even socially aware enough to understand the effect their hate can have on others.
honestly ironmouse has more than earned what she's got, only small thing i never liked was calling subs "precious family".

The people who hate on vtubers for purposefully cultivating parasocial relationships have a good point. A lot of them do it.

12:00 I dont think thats a good comparison. When I buy a CD I get something in Return. When I donate to Kai I don't get anything back right???
You do get something, you get the feeling of happiness from doing something nice ( if you believe thats nice ). I dont watch live streams and i wont ever donate... i have mouths to feed... but everything you do its also for your personal satisfaction... when you help a person you feel good cause you did it so that is its owm reward! If you believe that people help eachother purely because they really want to help and nothing else you have the wrong idea about the world. People do drugs because it makes them feel something, some people are addicted to sad feelings and are always causing drama for example... the point is anything can be considered a "reward"
Depends on if he uses that money to provide better entertainment for you, the viewer
You donate money cause you appreciate their content if you didn't get anything from it you wouldn't donate
is it just me or did so many V-tubers turn out to be super hot IRL this seems like an important point.

Vtubing at least makes the competition equal. It's pure skill streaming. It's like a 1v1 in csgo with deagles.
mold is the silent killer, if people are getting sick just being inside your house then it's probably very likely you have some kind of mold situation. i think for a few grand you can have your house professionally checked and cleaned.
Vtubers have to have a personality and be entertaining. How they look honestly matters very little.
no asmon, you dont deserve any of the hate you get either.
I used to deny vtubers are the future or the next generation. I hated them as much I hated weebs or otaku.
But in my country, almost half of the all streamers are vtubers now, they earn tons of money,
their project sells tons of music albums, open a concert in a stadium and now they are literally everywhere irl.
I still don't watch them or like them but now I admit that they are economically highly marketable model and might be the future of streamer scene.
I remember some models goes for 20-40k so it's in the market.

This was when she was 'smaller', so probably had a higher average pay-out in recent years. Last I spoke to her, she bought a house with her husband, so it must have been doing pretty well.
