Also, No Mo Disks in Beta to rescue Chris...that would just save me time with how I’ve played as Jill for years! Hello go to the menu screen. On the new game hold the left or right button til the new game turns green. Everything on the left of gameplay will be in the game.
2 things: 1. That "unknown soundtrack" was legitimately creepy and I wish they'd kept it, just not during that scene. 2. I keep picturing Forrest shooting all his bazooka rounds at the crows in a panic, which is darkly humorous to me.

Some cool stuff. The unknown soundtrack is great, the BMG switch is nice and the thing about the naked zombie creeping out of the crack in the wall was a unique idea I wish they had retained. I'm undecided on the SFX when Jill looks out the window; nice detail but sort of disturbs the flow of the music.
Playing as Jill feel like a spoiled younger sibling where everything you need is provided by your parents to make your life easier. i.e bigger inventory, early access to weapon, a companion who help you and give you ammo and weapon sometimes, a lockpick that gave you abilty to open some locked door more early. Meanwhile playing as Chris feels like a tougher older sibling who seems abandoned by the parents because the parents care the younger sister more, where you have to sort and figure out many thing yourself. Let see, Chris has less inventory, he start only with a knife and has to find the handgun himself, he has to solve puzzle to get a shotgun while jill has barry to help her get the shotgun without solving a puzzle, Chris has to find small keys (with his already very limited inventory) spread across the mansion to open many locked door while Jill has her lockpick. Well, Chris has his companion, Rebecca, who is great at solving piano puzzle but more often than not Chris have to babysit her. Talk about fair...
Something similar happens in RE2 - European version (non Dualshock edition) with the B mission train playing as Leon. Leon says athat the door wont open and claire replies I don't know the door wont open... well yeah we know! - i think things like this are just translation errors. However Capcom have worked hard on this franchise and the early ones especially have been amazing to play.

I'm so glad we got the version we did but I have to say apart from the obvious, 3 things I prefer in the Final beta is Plant 42 vine can kill you, Jill checking behind her straight away when Enrico gets shot, and the naked zombies in the lab placement, like one eating another, and that one halfway through the damaged wall, I always thought that was somewhere zombie's could crawl through, could of had a few spawning from there, kind of reminded me of 1.5 with zombies crawling under shutters etc, I like that element alot and thought that was missing from RE2 in the same way that is missing from RE1 Original, but everything else is solid, I dont understand the infinite bites from the naked group and no Mo disk, that was stranger then the item box sound, the clip in the tub and the non ability to stack combine, im not sure if I prefer the blue gem statue on 2nd floor being behind the zombie as it makes it a bit harder and can't cheap knife kill through it unless running past to get behind statue, and the bazooka from forest having 0 rounds might be better also, would explain that he took out some zombies before reaching the balcony and getting F@#$*d by a bunch of crows or something. The ink ribbon from the blue gem eye of the tiger is whack af and pressing X by the window to see the heliport music would of made me s#!t my pants especially at the tender age of 11-12 when i started playing this game
The boulder triggering as you run away was a smart change. If you didn’t expect that and got crushed, it was probably a long while since you last saved.
Items don't stack. Same reaction. Also I played pirated a version of RE back in the day where I vaguely remember there is a clip in the bathtub and Chris and Jill kiss when you rescue Jill as Chris. Either way this game is legendary.

I think the character on the artwork is made by someone inspired by Stallone and Schwarzenegger. I read somewhere that the artist didn't knew anything about the game and just drew a guy with a rifle, also I always thought he was Chris Redfield but he isn't.
haha yes it just miss also the true ultra hardcore mode with adding the not interconnected item box... that i was expecting in difference between beta and final release version. Player: ...... Capcom: Yes you know you like it ! Player: is it horror for the gameplay or just something else hu ?
Very nice 👍 Yes, you must to see the cutscene at the balcony of the mansion (Barry finds Forest and says Oh my CAWD🤣). And this one will be unlocked: Investigate the west wing first, not the east wing, then go to the 2F balcony. And Barry will be there.
I believe you have to visit that area first. I always ran to the Shotgun room so I could trigger the ceiling trap so I wouldn't have to waste time by getting the Broken Shotgun.

Seeing this game again brings me so many memories of playing it on my PSP along with the other resident evil games. Many of these beta changes are pretty cool, though I really wish getting to use the serum as Jill was a thing in the Original.
I know in the Remake under some circumstances Barry doesn't come and you have to run and get serum yourself, but not sure if that was a thing in the original. i don't remember that ever occurring. Always Barry.
I swear that there was a clip in the bathtub. Many, of the aspects of the beta should have made it to the final game, but some things seem they did in the Arrange Director's Cut.
This game is the greatest. I remember everything about the day I went to rent it. I still have the GamePro magazine of its first appearance too. Favourite series ever.
Man I wish I would have never played this game, I wish I just could start it again and be as happy as I was the first time. I played it for atleast 15 times to the end, slowly I start to get bored, but I wish this wouldnt be the case :( ha

The Lockpick being an item, the unloaded Bazooka, the usable Serum, and the Hex Crank being placed by Enrico. These things add consistency and sensibility to the game, so I wish they had remained in the final version.

It was great to watch the differences between the Beta and Original one editions and honestly I got surprised by a couple of things! Anyway listen: I have a Resident Evil 1 game which is ideally the TM Uncut SLUS00747 U.S. version but technically it's something more! I have played this version of Resident Evil 1 through so many times with Jill and Chris as well but I've never found this patch anywhere else so far not in game-stores not at black markets not on the internet either! I don't think it could be some kind of modified patch or something since it's a PSX game but when I've noticed that there's turbo zombies in the game, the Hunters are even more aggressive, + the Yawn(Giant Snake)can kill you straight away by just approaching you if your health bar is on danger then I quickly realized this edition of RE1 is different from the real TM Uncut one! Maybe you can find out which edition of RE1 could that be if you personally check that out as well, but one thing is sure: ,,it's definitely not a Beta version!,, I have the patch on my PC so let me know if my info made you interested?!

Naked zombie which has been through surgery or otherwise experimented on. They always appear as castrated men with shaved heads and significant scarring. They also possess a slight yellowish hue.They have more health and do more damage compared to other zombies.

on the 2:24 i can confirm the clip in the water on the u.s version but strangely not in the directors cut , but i always was never really sure intill now ,i didnt even remember this is was a clip but i do remember the tub and water and being asked is you wanted to pull the plunger but was always scared lol i also had it for sega saturn but never finished

Very nice 👍 Yes, you must to see the cutscene at the balcony of the mansion (Barry finds Forest and says Oh my CAWD🤣). And this one will be unlocked: Investigate the west wing first, not the east wing, then go to the 2F balcony. And Barry will be there.

I believe you have to visit that area first. I always ran to the Shotgun room so I could trigger the ceiling trap so I wouldn't have to waste time by getting the Broken Shotgun.

Seeing this game again brings me so many memories of playing it on my PSP along with the other resident evil games. Many of these beta changes are pretty cool, though I really wish getting to use the serum as Jill was a thing in the Original.
I know in the Remake under some circumstances Barry doesn't come and you have to run and get serum yourself, but not sure if that was a thing in the original. i don't remember that ever occurring. Always Barry.

I swear that there was a clip in the bathtub. Many, of the aspects of the beta should have made it to the final game, but some things seem they did in the Arrange Director's Cut.

This game is the greatest. I remember everything about the day I went to rent it. I still have the GamePro magazine of its first appearance too. Favourite series ever.

That room at 10:11 where is that? I’ve never been there, I’ve played the game a dozen times and have never been there.
The Lockpick being an item, the unloaded Bazooka, the usable Serum, and the Hex Crank being placed by Enrico. These things add consistency and sensibility to the game, so I wish they had remained in the final version.
Except the stackless item though. That would be a nightmare playing as chris

It was great to watch the differences between the Beta and Original one editions and honestly I got surprised by a couple of things!
Anyway listen: I have a Resident Evil 1 game which is ideally the TM Uncut SLUS00747 U.S. version but technically it's something more!
I have played this version of Resident Evil 1 through so many times with Jill and Chris as well but I've never found this patch anywhere else so far not in game-stores not at black markets not on the internet either!
I don't think it could be some kind of modified patch or something since it's a PSX game but when I've noticed that there's turbo zombies in the game, the Hunters are even more aggressive, + the Yawn(Giant Snake)can kill you straight away by just approaching you if your health bar is on danger then I quickly realized this edition of RE1 is different from the real TM Uncut one!
Maybe you can find out which edition of RE1 could that be if you personally check that out as well, but one thing is sure: ,,it's definitely not a Beta version!,, I have the patch on my PC so let me know if my info made you interested?!

Naked zombie which has been through surgery or otherwise experimented on. They always appear as castrated men with shaved heads and significant scarring. They also possess a slight yellowish hue.They have more health and do more damage compared to other zombies.
@@upliftingdream Yes, this is true, they are intentional zombies, like the difference between cerberus and zombie dogs. Also, didn't the naked zombies respawn after you exit and reenter their room?

on the 2:24 i can confirm the clip in the water on the u.s version but strangely not in the directors cut , but i always was never really sure intill now ,i didnt even remember this is was a clip but i do remember the tub and water and being asked is you wanted to pull the plunger but was always scared lol i also had it for sega saturn but never finished

Would have been interesting if Capcom added the mechanic of loading the wet pistol magazine, causing the gun to jam while trying to shoot a zombie or monster during a critical situation. That would be crazy and intense.
