😨Same here. First time seeing this, I thought it was some kinda glitch or something. Haha man, 24 years past, but still full of mysteries. What a masterpiece.
Crimson Heads do not eventually become lickers. Lickers are canonically caused by a different variant of the T-Virus. That's why there are no lickers in the mansion/lab and no Crimson Heads in the later RE2 outbreak.
When I was a kid those Crimson Heads always scared the shit out of me since I always thought zombies were slow and could never run. I was very very wrong...
@@wmd40 I'm baffled as to why Capcom didnt bring Crimson Heads back in RE2 remake. Or at least in RE3 remake, anything to make that game better than the trash we ended up getting.
@@wmd40 Your arguments don't make sense. The original RE1 didn't have Crimsom Heads or Lisa Trevor, yet their later inclusion made the game much better. Also, RE1 remake released years after all the classic RE titles, so adding Crimsom Heads in remakes of later games would add consistency and improvement overall. As for your argument on the games having their own unique enemies... did you forget how RE3 remake removed several enemies, bosses and kept the dogs for only a single room? In exchange, we were given the low-budget Pale Heads and Parasite Head zombies (reused assets with an extra feature), which btw were not in the original RE3.
The Crimson Head's are a rare exception when a running zombie actually works, probably because they at least used to be normal zombies at first. Otherwise, making a zombie run diminishes the monster. Another good way to ruin a zombie is to make it do these screeching sounds as if it was angry. Zombies are dead people and they shouldn't feel anger or run. They should remind us about death and not act like some hyper-lively athletes with anger issues. We should blame Zack Snyder (Hollywood's worst director after Uwe Boll) for his crappy Dawn of the Dead remake.

The Crimson Head prototype in that coffin is definitely NOT George Trevor. He died from starvation in the 1960s, and the T-virus that created the V-ACT wasn't completed until 1978. He was nothing but dust and bones by the time Umbrella created that prototype, and even if his body was preserved somehow, the virus would not revive him. That's not how the T-virus works, it only affects living cells. Resident Evil zombies are not undead corpses, but living creatures that have been mutated by the virus. They have to be infected by the virus BEFORE they "die" to be transformed.

G BBarn when RE Remake was originally released for the GameCube, it wasn’t marketed very well, and as a result sold poorly. But since then it’s been doing better as it is on everything now.
G BBarn also RE4 happened, and is one of the most popular if not the most popular RE game. They could have done RE2 and RE3 in the same style of RE Remake if Remake sold better back in 2002. That’s why there was such a long wait for those two to get touched up.

Excellent work! Yeah that Kitchen Zombie is insane! Takes the title as strongest one for sure. The naked ones in the lab are also tougher than normal ones, and the moans they make is scary. Regarding Barry's .357 Magnum, i believe it could be loaded with Dum Dum rounds. As we know Dum Dum rounds are generally weaker than normal ones, and if i remember correctly they don't always guarantee a head-shot on zombies. Either that or the first zombie is the Kitchen's one cousin, lol.
Okay, the Doctor Zombie was a little freaky, especially with the meal he was chowing down getting up to join him. The "AH, THERE YOU ARE!" line was hilarious tho
Outstanding video. maybe you should consider adding the 1st zombie but from the remake, as that one takes somewhere between 0 & 5 shots (I’m assuming from a handgun) from kenneth in the video he filmed before dying, 3 magnum shots from Barry, whatever you use to kill him, and some extra ammo if you let it turn into a crimson. And zombie weaker from the Saturn version
I’ve played the director’s cut and never noticed the kitchen zombie being any different. I’m used to dodging whenever possible bc of RE Remake’s crimson heads, so I always just looped the kitchen zombie around the counter
