Wife and I love these tents. She doesn't even want to use the camper (some obvious caveats are included in this statement) anymore so we can get more in the woods. We waited for months if not a year for a t4 and love it. I used to sleep in the larger deer blinds during deer hunting so I could avoid passing deer bedding areas so as soon as I found these tents, I was stoked for the easy setup and the wife wanted to buy a junk tent, which I've been there done that and own the t shirt and threw it in the garbage and we settled on the T4 and backordered 1. T8 may still be on the list though for the future. I still use an awning room from time to time as well, but these are incredibly versatile as long as you aren't hiking or in a clown car. Note the length and figure out how to fit 1 of these if your vehicle is small, don't worry about a perfect fit, roll down a window or something if you must. Don't let your equipment rule your life just like use a tarp if you can't afford a tent, walk if you can't run, etc. Your body is designed to move and be outside, but these tents are a cheat code and save us a little bit of time and stress to break down camp.
Like you said they really need a port for either a stove or heater, but a sewing machine could fix this as well. I used to climb and hike a lot just over a decade ago and if you wanted convenience and lightweight you had few choices but to make or modify your own gear and it really doesn't take a lot of skill to be functional. It's fewer and further between but there used to be A LOT of people that would help you sew and make stuff. One of my grandmother's worked at a sewing factory and the other spent more money on her sewing machine than most professional welding machines.
They are definitely great tents. And campers are for parking, tents are for camping.
And yes, I agree, it would be easy to modify. But with how many people are using diesel heater, You would think that they would put one in.

The zipper idea is great for the T4 plus front door. This idea may be what gets me to buy this one. The Velcro closures on the front door seem to be a real issue? Maybe not …. I don’t know but it seems like it would be sorta bothersome.
@G-ew9hv It is a complaint I have heard quite a bit. And since this video came out, I have heard it even more. So it definitely is a thing.
