- Hi Nail Friends! I'm a DIY at home dip powder and gel polish nail artist. I am not a professional, just having fun and saving $ by doing my own dip powder and gel manis!
I chopped all my nails!! Not a little trim, they are cut to the pink of my nail bed! I asked on my Instagram stories if you wanted to see me dip these little nail nuggets and 200+ of you said Yes! Since I don't have many looks for short nails on my channel, I was excited to try dipping the nuggets and hopefully help anyone that likes to rock shorties. For inspiration, I saw a gift box with a retro Christmas vibe and it went perfectly with the theme of today's video. I wish I had seen your technique before I did my nails. I like the idea of laying flat in a cupcake liner instead of pushing into the dip powder at a 45 degree angle. Might have avoided the lumps and bumps.
Feels great sometimes to get a chop and start over.

Wow 🤩 I loved this color combo!!! 😍 but HOW do you NOT get little mountains by your cuticles 🤨🤨🤯🤯😱😱 I STILL cannot manage to have a “flat” application. My cuticle lines are ALWAYS little mountains when I dip >3 times 😭😭😭 even when I try to lay down the liquids as thin as possible 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
A couple of things can help--like Miranda did here with the 3/4 method and not applying all layers to the cuticle. Pouring over instead of dipping in also helps keep them nice and even. And you can't beat a good filing routine.

I enjoyed this video. It’s more real than most. I love the fact that we could see the application and color look like it was coming off, but at the end, it wasn’t noticeable. And I love the little tips and tricks to wipe off pigmented colors from the brushes. Great video. Nails look great 👍🏻

@@kelleholloway5488 Peel Base is good if you change your dip manis a lot like me. I change every few days and don’t have to soak in acetone. But generally if you like to wear your manis for a week or few weeks then you won’t want to use it. 😊
