I totally forgot about the center-tapped transformer since my schooling. I never use it; I always use a full-wave, 4 diode rectifier circuit with a high-quality pi filter using to capacitors and an inductor.
thank you very informative for me....i am wanting to make a bike battery charger or buy one 240v ac to round 60v dc..the batterys are lithium titenate and can take all the amps and more a house out let plug can give..i have 2 questions..1: what sort of diodes would i use to make a diode bridge circuit ?and ..2: because i have a battery down stream can i make the circuit with out a capasitor?
Very good explanation. Can you please explain, how to choose the value of components. For example if some wants to make circuit for 9V and 1A. What will be the value of various components?
Sir I am trying to make a electric magnet in a the base of a 30 inch metal bender I cut out and wielded it in a form of a magnet I am using a 200 amp 2 pole full bridge rectifier to change the current to dc but it keeps tripping the breaker. Do I need a transformer in front of the rectifier. Please give me some tips on making this project work. I would appreciate it
Very thorough presentation..however, it can be more meaningful if you can develop your presentations showing the circuit's internal actions using real-time animation.
A full wave center-tapped transformer rectifier in a power supply provides an average dc output voltage of 14V on which a maximum ripple of +/-0.5 volt is allowed. Diodes have a 0.7V drop when conducting. Assuming a resistive load of 120 Ω, a line voltage of 120V rms @ 60Hz through a transformer, (a) Sketch the circuit diagram for the rectifier (b) what is the rms voltage across the transformer secondary? (c) Determine the size of filter capacitor required. (d) Assuming 50% safety margin, what diode PIV rating is appropriat
V avg for bridge rectifier shall include 0.7 instead of 1.4 according to me because second diode is after the load and we take output from load. Am I correct?
If you see the output waveform, then it repeats itself after a T/2 time period (Compared to the original waveform) Hence, the frequency of the output waveform is double compared to the original waveform.
Why do Indians who are teaching something always do this weird pause before they say a noun and raise their voice? Is it cultural? What are they trying to do?

Bro your the best always, one small help bro kindly upload controlled rectifier also and difference between those
Inverter topics kindly upload bro concepts I am not able to understand please upload inveter
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️💘💘💘 your genius brother
Which state, Sir?
I loved this video. You cleared the concept very well. Thanks man and I'll recommend the channel to my colleagues.
How helpful you are for students. Thank you very much for your service
For once in my life i have actually started to take interest in my degree thanks to u
Good morning, please can explain to me A.c theory on mid ordinate please
Thank you, super helpful for explaining full wave rectification for my advanced biomechanics course
hey just checking on ya hows life going for u ? graduated? im in 3rd year for bsc in ce
The intro was calm 🕯️🪽
@12:05
if we consider non ideal diode then PIV for non ideal diode should be Vm + Vt
👍 very helpful, great sir!

Simply great ☺😊👌🏻🙏
Thankyou sir for everything ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank u very much for the brilliant and clear explaination .. and i liked the last table of comparsion
Thank you very much.
Nice explanation for both the full wave rectifier curcuits.
i wish i couldve got a teacher like this
sir you are a legend
You are mindblowing!!!
Comparison table is good. Simple to understand.
Superb as usual
Great🔥 thanks sir!!😀

Very Nice Sir
Awesome video
Excellent video sir
8:04 bridge rectifier
I have a power supply, there is a rectifier bridge and a big 500v capacitor on the primary side of the transformer. Is this right?
The load resistance terminal should not be grounded in the diode bridge based method, am I correct?
this video helps me a lot !
😊 thanks
Thank you !

Im center tapped rectifier. What's the voltage in center of the secondary winding?
hi..for the centre tap transformer diode curcuit is the resistor shown just there to represent what ever load the curcuit might have ?
Yes, it is representing the load.
Wonderful, thanks
Thank you.
Thank you so much sir
Sir, may I ask for the link to the derivation of the efficiency? Thank you.
what is the difference between average volt and dc volt here?
Very thorough presentation..however, it can be more meaningful if you can develop your presentations showing the circuit's internal actions using real-time animation.

no
apply kvl and solve you will get your answer
Thanku very helpful
Still in Class 12 But Find Best Explanation!
Super explanation bro
Excuse me sir ,
Half wave rectifier's efficiency is 46% in that video .????!
It is 40. 6 %. Please check at 17:33.
@@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
Excuse me sir , you explained 46% in the video of half wave rectifier's video ! 😅 🙏🏻
Superb.....
Superb
How frequency gets double?
If you see the output waveform, then it repeats itself after a T/2 time period (Compared to the original waveform) Hence, the frequency of the output waveform is double compared to the original waveform.
@@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS Yes sir, i got it...
@@ALLABOUTELECTRONICS I am very grateful having such good teacher...
NOT UNDERTAND😔
I think u don't know basics
Skill issue😂😂😂
😮😮😮😎😎😎👹👹👹
Thank you so much my guy
Love u
Good explination
You forgot to multiply your efficiency by 100 for percent again.
Thankyou...
Are you mad the derivations of full wave rectifier expressions i.e Vr(p-p)
Thank you and good
Narayana reddy battula. ...! What do you want to say?
@@learnandenjoyphysics7300 lol
for negative half cycle voltage polarity is wrong
By reverse polarity, I mean to represent the negative voltage during the negative half cycle.

Excellent
diodes and application k short o long answer be batao

Sir this channal only electronic
Sir can you pl provide pdf of this notes
Yes, will provide it soon.
Sir where will we get it
and any subject aviable are not
Sup erb sir
Can I massage you privately??
Your lectures dont mean anything if you dont show the derivation
There is a seperate video for the same.
Please go through the playlist, you will find the seperate videos.
Better English please.
