Question::: My Jeep has a V-6 it's a daily driver. My Ford Expedition had a V-8 much more power of course. Would new upgraded axles help turn the 35's even though no power from the engine or would a V-8 swap even work in a 2012 JK??
watched/ listened to the 2nd podcast.. great to tackle the V8.. but I do have a question.. as I am a 2-door fanboy vs the unlimited.. of your V8 swaps.. what is your advice towards someone like me, who only owned 2Door jeeps.. I currently have a jlr 2019.. I have 35s and a winch.. everything else is stock.. now is it because jeep sells more 4door that we see conversions in those vs the 2door or is it because of engine bay capacity room that we just dont see a 2door jlr with the V8 factory or even engine swaps.. I wont say I fully invested any sort of time researching in the forums or anywhere to find my answers.. but I figure asking you directly would be the best path considering you just did a whole v8 podcast.. I just didnt hear anything directly towards it being the 2door but did hear it being about 4doors. thx. happy new year!!
Yep, there just more 4 days than there are 2 doors. Way more.

Unfortunately I can't afford a V8 and a divorce, child support, and etc.
So I want to echo e pill on wanting to eventually do a swap on my 2020 2 door Rubicon.... but mine is a MANUAL transmission model. I am also looking at new suspension, and possibly drive-train (axles, etc..) as needed for fitting 39" BFG's on it (currently running 37" BFG KM3's and 5.13 gears in the dana 44's). I do off road in mine, as well as daily drive it here in Alaska (deep snow, ice, and temps down to -40 or colder), so I would need a heater that works. I am guessing... what $40k ish? Or higher?
Doesn't look like we can swap the JL manual. Manual conversions are difficult even in the JK, so they might be impossible for the JL.
@@Exodus4x4 Hmm.... well I believe nothing is impossible, but thanks for the feedback nonetheless. It probably is possible, but it might be prohibitively expensive to pull off, as in custom made adapter parts to mount it to the existing transmission.

@@Exodus4x4 I love the content and dialog. Really appreciate the honest reviews of the conversions, but I could really do without the f-bombs. It distracts from the great content. It also is a bummer to hit the switch to allow explicit content on Spotify.

V8's are good and all but they are on their way to becoming extinct before long. Mopar has/is moving in the direction of not producing the Hemi Engine and I would almost bet that the other powerhouse player manufacturing companies will follow suite. It's just like you said by adding power mods such as turbos to the V6 they will replace V8 power, maybe not sound but for sure HP figures. This is one of many reason why Mopar is replacing with turbo V6's....
But I am not a fan of either, I would much rather see a big nasty Cummins Diesel Engine in my Jeep!!
