It took them a year and it's supposed to be impressive.. WTF? Most places can do a Hemi swap in a week, and you only gained 10 hp and 35 ft/lb of torque.. and it took an extra 51 weeks. Good job!!!

But i can assure you as a Loyal Costumer of Motech there's no other place i will bring my business based on Performance, Reliability, Drive ability, smog compliance etc. Lastly to each their own.

Moby have a nice engine and sound like have over 300 or 400 horse power and it will go every where smooth like butter that doesn’t matter where you drive it .
That a lot horse power putting on that stock engine you no trouble going up hill or mud and rock clawring but my question is if you have let’s say 260 horsepower with carrying a load In the back can you do that too without trouble?? Thanks for replaying:-).

From what i have heard ( dont own one myself) so this is hear say but the hemi is much better for one reason,, ECM and electronic compatibility .. inauguration is much better and easier to maintain in the future .. yea i wrote this before i watched video lol and saw the fix for ecm.. and boy that dog is smart , what je is doing is one of the ways they test a dogs intelligence , and that fact that he knows that there is food inside and keeps at it and doesnt quit until he gets it says just how smart he really is.. thanks for the video buddy..
Hoping to pick my up form Robbie next week it’s been there a while but lots getting done put a L86 in it with 8 speed. Plan on adding a whipple supercharger awesome kit 200 more torque and hp with no mods to motor at all
Ed, do you know of anyone doing 2.7 Chevy 4 cyl turbo conversions as clean as these LS swaps ? I'm looking at doing a 2 door Wrangler ( sold my dirt & adventure motorcycles ) . The torque #'s in new Silverado's are just insane. Thanks also for your content on UA-cam, catching up on the Jeep culture & just love seeing them put through their paces as intended ( in the rock & dirt ) 😀
Companies like Motech specialize in V8's but I do know they can work on just about anything. You might want to give them a call and see if they can help you out.
paying someone like motech to do it is one thing. They have done so many and are so good at it... Its comparable to a hemi. But a hemi is 100% easier to throw in a jeep JK. I have never done a motor swap and I did my 6.4 hemi install in a week. Great setup though, very nice.
That's awesome you were able to do your own install. I didn't want a 6.4L HEMI - I wanted this 6.2L LT and 10-speed auto and because I think it's a better setup. But then, that's just me.
@@wayalife Totally. In all reality it is. LS is swapped into everything for a reason lol. Theyre the best easiest motors around. Sadly I live in California where emissions is a huge part of why the hemi worked.
I will be looking forward to seeing more once you put Moby through the tests I know you will find for him. Looks like fun, and I hope to be able to do this someday, hopefully by the time I kill the 3.6.
I had a sick 2011 call of duty black ops rubicon unlimited that I put a 5.7L hemi in and I loved it but sold it to get the new JLUR and I promised my wife I would keep it simple but after some thinking now I want a hemi in this one.
We already had 5.38s in our PR60/PR80 back from when we were still running a 3.8L. We're happy with it but if you spend a lot of time on pavement, a taller gear would be the way to go.

I don’t know of any other shop that has more comprehensive UA-cam channel than Robbie at MOTECK .The videos are great and all the swaps are amazing.

As I point out in the video, there is NO Jeep computer with this setup, only GM. There is NO compatibility issues unlike other kits out there.

LOL - 14 mpg is what we're seeing but then, that is with 40" tires and a Jeep that weighs almost 7k

It ain't cheap for sure but if you can afford a fully loaded JL Rubicon, you can afford to do something like this on an old JK.

What gears are you running? Those are 40’s ya? My Jk is at MoTech getting the same setup right now, just trying to figure out what gearing to go with.
