This is a strong reminder that the Rolling Stones were good songwriters, but they shouldn't have performed their own songs. Hearing someone with actual soul sing and perform it is night and day.
Otis Redding ,deixou a versão original de i can get no satisfacion, dos Rolling Stones ,com vergonha embora e ótima a versão original ,mas Redding superou ,fantástico .
I recommend watching the full segment with Otis, and if you're hooked, watch the BBC documentary of Otis Redding available on UA-cam. They talk about this live performance, with Eric Burdon & Chris Farlowe. The British liked the speeded up versions of some of his songs, and Otis apparently said to his band when they were going to preform at the Monterey pop festival in 67, do it like we done it in England (the Mods) and the hippies loved him.
Its a shame that the tempo is faster, it would have been perfect sang at the speed of the record don't know why artists have to speed up performances when live, why not the speed of the original
This is why Keith Richards said Otis did it the way it was supposed to be. He always meant for Satisfaction's riff to be played on horns.
much better than jagger
The day this voice was silenced was a loss for all humanity. Such magic.
I never grow tired of hearing his version of this song. So much power, so much soul.
My favorite version of Satisfaction.

A runaway freight train in a double breasted sports jacket! Long live the voice, the music, the soul of the man, may he rest in peace. ✝️
You are not the only one in that regard. I just don't out grow Otis Reading decades when I first heard his music in early 70s!

Never knew this version even existed. Pretty cool stuff.
Thats kinda how appropriation works. Even his dance moves are attributed to Jagger and the like
He wrote it! It’s Otis’ song. Everyone else did a cover
