Westone Spectrum MX - My First REAL Brand Name Guitar

Maybe the last guitar I'll buy...this year. This model was the first real name brand guitar I owned back in 1994. Not THE actual guitar, but the same brand and model. I'll tell you about that one in the video.

I have the same, 1985 blue. I was 14 at the time. And still it never goes out of tune

looks a lot like my 82' Electra x155 in pearl white. my favorite guitar hh with p/p hardtail. Hidden gems for sure!

I saw one of those on Facebook marketplace and the guy only wanted $125 for it. I waited too long and it was gone. Great guitars!

Yes, thats an 85'. I just bought an 83' Electra/Westone X185 because I had one back then. They were super versatile guitars.

I guy was selling an Electra near me for dirt cheap. I should have grabbed it.

Love their look and loved that blue finish too. But the blue neck was a little much for me so I looked for a long time and bought a rosewood board neck and changed it out. Worked out great but of course did add to the cost.

That is one of the reasons I love this guitar. I always liked that blue poly finished neck and fretboard.

I ended up putting a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. The stock one was very weak, but I kept the split option.
