Nice! Thanks. I was pretty fortunate on water surprises until I moved to the Southeast. Pretty much everything that can destroy a house lives here. Water, termites, and my favorite the "Pro" DIYer.

you're one of the main reasons housing costs are out of control. How about 'avoid flipping' period. It's not a commodity. Your hobby helps create the homeless people I see living in cars and tents.

I don't understand the connection completely. Not here for a fight, only a healthy discussion. I'm assuming your argument is that by flipping a house the housing prices are getting pushed up making the prices out of reach for most? I'm truly asking to try to understand...
Here is my argument. What would happen to these houses were they not bought by people who are willing to risk their own cash to make them whole? Most of the houses we buy are in disrepair and would be unsafe for living. Would you prefer to see boarded up condemned houses everywhere? In addition, most of us don't create luxury homes we make nice houses for first time home buyers.

@@LarossaConstruction Sorry to jump in but I think you both have good points but there is a bigger issue. First is zoning which doesn't allow for lower-income housing to be built on top of these properties in disrepair. With that issue in place I think you helping to renew the homes is the only option for now. It's like a bandaid on a large wound. The second issue is that large corporations are buying properties and using their enormous buying power to snatch up all the properties they can and cause people to be lifelong renters. You aren't the reason for either of these issues, but you are promoting the same practices as these companies. I think it's easier to go after someone who can be talked to instead of something like BlackRock. I appreciate the fact that you are repairing homes for people to buy and move into, but these are real issues that are only made worse when there is a whole section of UA-cam that promotes surface-level repairs and flipping. Housing is sadly seen as an investment and when it's commodified in this way the demand isn't just from people who want homes, but those who want profit. These competing demands have different levels of buying power meaning profit will always win out. Sorry for the TedX-level reply. 😅

@@LarossaConstructionmy guy. Don't even justify this chick with a response lol. You know how much more housing would cost if not for flippers rehabbing properties and increasing supply of available homes? Don't try to reason with a fool.
