I have a 22 Veloce, I couldn’t justify the upcharge just for some wheels, carbon, and trim. I have a Alfa white model, with the red interior sport seats and the extended leather upholstery (sound and interior package). And the Estrema only has black interior with red trim. The red interior is beautiful especially with the red calipers.
Facts. I just bought the black veloce with red interior. Love how it pops against the red calipers. Didn't like that I could only have black interior in the estrema.
@@HamTorta6 definitely a great choice. The estrema is a money grab trim by Alfa. I really hope the new generation comes with some style and performance improvements.

I like the estrema more, but the veloce has a much better red paint.
I bought my Giulia Villa d’Este last November, the most beautiful red color for a Giulia! And the tan interior makes it so special. 11000km of driving joy and as usual with Alfas no issues.
Im glad i got my alfa before they made it all confusing with so many extra trims, i have the TI sport, red interior, dark 5 hole wheels, red calipers with white print, and the harmon kardon sound system as well with those beautiful paddle shifters. But it does lack the carbon fiber interior bits😢

@@aaroncontact8262 its amazing brother, no problems with mine at 43k miles. Nice solid car to drive as a daily and it has its sportiness so you dont feel like a grandpa driving a corolla.
it's not more confusing, it's much easier to figure out what options are on these cars now.. buying a used Ti is basically impossible to figure out what a car has without looking up the window sticker (i.e. LSD, active suspension, etc)
The Alfa Romeo is a work of art.
It's the Estrema for me - mostly because of the wheels - HATE those Veloce wheels love the Estrema (Quad) ones. Also interior trim nicer with the carbon - UK is Leather/Alcantara seats for the Estrema v all leather for the Veloce

I’d be interested if it had a power increase. The active suspension doesn’t make it any faster than the veloce.
You're looking at it the wrong way. You can't go any faster than these cars go anyway without losing your license. However, the active suspension makes your ride nicer. And that's the crux of it.

Extrema is not available with red leather. Would choose Veloce.
The choice is confusing because the Estrema model is being marketed as the top model but the colour choices are limited. They may have been better off just putting prices up on Veloce and giving everyone red stitching and adaptive.

It is a Limited Special Edition and this is the very first time that Alfa Romeo sells an Alfa special edition to the Global Market rather than for Italians only. Other makers do the same, some of them go even shorter than that as color options for a limited edition car.
I live im Australia,i have a veloce 2021 it has black roof lining and black badging plus the same wheels as the estrema,much better combo than the new veloce

Second hand prices have increased a lot, I want to buy, but unfortunately the prices have gone up.
I like the IDEA of the adjustable dampers, but I'm afraid to look at the replacement cost of those shocks and related components... Those reds look fantastic, the majority of my local dealers buy primarily monochrome (gray, white, black, silver)
Yeah all the red ones sell fast. All of those colors look really good in person but it had to be Rosso for me ;-)
Both are great. But the Giulia Estrema is a little bit better (active suspension, wheels, ...).
In Europe seats are in alcantara and leather for the Estrema.
Europe always gets the good stuff 😭😭😭

But in Europe it's now only Q4, not Q2. Q2 is better to drive.
the cars are nice, the name is definitively not appropriate for the Estrema, though. there is nothing extreme about it. I wished they made a 2.0 PU to match the name :P then I would have called it Turismo, Estrema is so tacky

The Etna color is nice....wish they'd kept the Rosso Competizione.

I'll never understand why Alfa didn't create an in-between model for the Giulia.. with the 2.9L.. completely strip it down. no active air/cf panels. it could even be AWD (should have already done this option with Giulia Q) since that is doable based on the driveshaft design... every time I see all these "special wheels" etc.. like polishing a pig.. funny.. these dolly'd up 2 Liters are like 61k now.. so there's almost no $ room for an in-between now.. ridiculous.
Same here! They would kill that middle market that’s dominated by the M340, Audi S models, and MB AMG 43’s. Nearly 60k for the same motor on a 45k base model just doesn’t add up.
Ron, I thought in a previous video, all 2023 models were moving to a three year warranty. When you showed us the warranties for these two 2023 models they showed the four year warranty?
I cleared that up in another video that those stickers with the 3 year warranties were misprints.

Has to be both! Giulietta sedan and hatchback. Use a normally aspirated V6 for the top spec.! We can only dream! Alfa needs a $35,000 car.

No it is an option. I just scored a '23 Estrema with the smaller rear wheels and I'm glad that didn't hold me up from buying it. Incredible car....can always add the 9" wheels down the road...

Feels like they made these decisions trying to be annoying. The estrema is the higher tier, but you can't get the nice paint. The veloce gets you the paint, but ugly wheels
The estrema Should essentially be a quadrifoglio but with the 2.0 and some extra power; like 350hp to still keep it below the Ghibli
It's a shame how Alfa has segmented the available options on these cars. The Estrema shouldn't even exist if Alfa hadn't taken away previously available options. The Veloce is just too basic now to justify the cost. If I was dead set on buying a new Guila I would go for the Estrema. However, the smart money would buy used due to greater available options and color choices.
A used QV would be wonderful if you could swing it! I want one of my owen!

Nope, Alfa Romeo discontinued Rosso comp a few years ago, and replaced it with Rosso Etna which is a metallic paint instead.
@@RonsRides I wasn't sure this was only a Quadrifoglio, GTA(m) paint. It is just as stunning. Was Rosso competizione not a metallic paint. I know it was tricoat.

@@fhartse a 2016 and 2019 Giulia. Electrical issues, auto shut off stays off, the audio system crackles at medium or higher volumes. It's the little things that are annoying because it looks great and is fun to drive but at 50k I just expect better quality

Just bought one as a commuter car. It's a dream to drive. Not as powerful as my BMW M4. But so cheap in comparison. It's like an old school BMW with driver focus minus all the tech and flashy screens

Estrema - easy
Sadly all Giulia's are the exact same engine. The Veloce should be bumped up to 300HP, and Estrema should be 320HP. But hard to do with 2 liters engine
Is Etna red different to Competizione red?
Yea Etna is a metallic paint while Competizione is a tri-coat paint.

Yeah much better to get virtually no extras and add 1/4 of the price in extras on a BMW 😂 I’d rather stick red hot needles in my eyes than buy a BMW!
