As a tribute to him, I will work way harder on my book to show my ultimate respect to Sensei Miura.
He defined video games as a whole. Without Berserk there's no Dark Souls, no Monster Hunter, HUGE swaths of Final Fantasy cease to exist. A friend of mine called him the greatest mangaka of all time and I can't say I disagree. The work he put out and the sheer TALENT he had were just astounding. The world is lesser for his loss.

Man times flies i remember checking out berserk at 14 years old after running out of dub Naruto episodes … “berserk… that sounds badass” that was the start of my love for this show and author I have all 41 volumes the guide and all 10 deluxe edition. During my toughest times I’d remember I wanted guts strength and courage to get over my problems but I remember we are all in our own war the problems I was facing were meant to be overcome but by me! Struggle sounds like a negative word as if we were losing . But it’s the courage to fight knowing you’ll lose !
My ex left me in November of last year, we had been together for 5 years and I planned to ask her to marry her when she came to visit for the holidays. I haven’t been ok in any aspect since that day but one thing that’s helped me change myself for the better and push onward, to struggle, is this song and this story. Man times flies i remember checking out berserk at 14 years old after running out of dub Naruto episodes … “berserk… that sounds badass” that was the start of my love for this show and author I have all 41 volumes the guide and all 10 deluxe edition. During my toughest times I’d remember I wanted guts strength and courage to get over my problems but I remember we are all in our own war the problems I was facing were meant to be overcome but by me! Struggle sounds like a negative word as if we were losing . But it’s the courage to fight knowing you’ll lose !

I know this shot from manga, it's from chapter 117 "Elf in the blue sky", where little girl named Jill clinging to Guts, pleading to take her with him, wherever to go, just as far from her village as possible (drunken father, I can understand her). He says: "Look. Open your eyes. Look carefully at the shadows that surrounds us. Look at the shadows that surrounds ME." This moment shows how badass Guts is. And lethally dangerous. Hell, this arc, "Red-Eyed Peekaf", wasn't included in 2016 season because Guts was MURDERING CHILDREN. It's at the same time cool and gruesome. Too brutal to show on TV.
I like how he tells her to fight her own battle. It's a message to the readers as well. You may not facing a problem that requires physical struggle, like with Guts, but you'll still have to struggle forward with your own challenges, regardless of what type they may be.
