Not a bad review. Because you are talking about backcountry another good point for the list is tool visibility. That's a Bahco pg72 pruning saw, not the "laplander" though they are nearly the same, but the laplander is green/black. 100% lost if you drop it in brush.
Agreed100% I've put it down hundreds of times in the forest and didn't have to worry about loosing it in the foliage. The model I have is indeed the Laplander. It's over 10 years old, so it came in the orange colour at them time. For anyone who bought the new green/black variants, tie on some high-vis paracord as a lanyard to help it stand out.
@@meandering-shane case in point I dropped my machete in some brush. I mentally knew where it was within 10 feet and it wasn't even dark and I had a very hard time finding it. All of my tools that can find themselves in the woods are orange, orange lanyard. I tend to put a strip of orange hockey tape around the sheathes too in case I unpack them/take them off.

Thanks. Very informative
Just ordered one. I'm hoping the blade last longer than the many Silky brand saws I've replaced at great cost.
I've used mine pretty consistently for more than 10 years. I hope you get lots of use out of it!
Can you please tell me what hat is the black gentleman wearing? I like it
The brown guy is me 😊, and I’m wearing a Tilley “classic” hat.
Thanks so much. What color do you have it in?
@ sorry, it’s the Tilley “outback”, and the colour is green/brown
