Seems like, if you could add a little "V" of the animal print to the neck band, front and center, it would bring it all together nicely. Thanks for a great tutorial.
Cool idea!
Thank you! I was thinking of doing this to a t-shirt I've got and was thinking the same thing! 😉
Thank you for this video. I made a top and it was too small at abdomen and hips. I followed your instructions and hopes it works. Thanks so much. Didn’t fully understand the sewing of the point in your video though.
I loved your tutorial. You explain and show it so that it is easy! I need to alter my sister's dress so I will copy your video. thank you!!!

Thank you so much because my shirt that I want to wear for Christmas is tight and I'm going to put an added piece into it thank you so much for the demonstration😊
I hope it worked well!
To see stitching or where you want to stitch on black fabric, run a piece of white chalk or a sliver of soap along the line or over the stitches you want to remove
Thanks!
This is so helpful
I am so glad!
I gotta say Thank You!!! I have been unable to wear this jacket since purchase because the hip was too narrow( men’s anorak). Today I DID it!!!I wish I could add a pic!! I’m so excited. 😘😊

Morning Ellie, I did exactly what you showed in your video, the only part I had a problem with was the top part when it came to sewing it babe.
Thanks again and look forward to seeing 👀 more videos soon Roslyn Australia 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Love this idea! Do you have any updates to the instructions if the sleeves also need to be 'loosened'?
Thanks! Great help for an evening top that I made but feels too clingy. I’ve added a triangle to each hip and it now feels and looks much more…me!
🩷🎉🩷 I’m so glad!
I'll will be attempting this method to widen a shirt dress.
You can do it!
Thank you for this tutorial. I’m currently making the Wrapped in love dress but I’m really confused about the skirt part. I’ve watched the videos on this but the pieces are already cut. The bit that is confusing me is the front bit where it goes into two for the split. It says front cut two (cut two here not on a fold for the skirt front. Pieces are mirrored, but where the arrow points to is not on a cut line. Really confused. Is there any way you could do a cutting tutorial for the wrapped in love skirt please? Thank you 😊
Can you do a tutorial on how to add some material to a button up vest to make it a size larger
We will add it to the list.
I have thousands of hours in this but it was still worth watching
Does the fabric have to be a stretch knit fabric or could it be a regular 100% cotton material?
The result looks splendid! And you make it look so easy 🙂
One question: (how) did you finish the bottom hem of the fabric? Did I miss something?
Many thanks and way to go ☀️
Yes I was also wondering how she finished the bottom of the top. Idk but I didn't like the way she explains stuff. Gonna look for a different tutorial.
@@udhe4421Look to Evelyn Wood, vintage sewing. She has many ways to make things. Her's aren't alterations.
awesome, need this for to increase the size of a jersey for a costume that didn't fit right and i don't have time to order a new one
Perfect! I hope it’s the solution you needed.
I've been gaining weight because of emotional eating. This came right on time.
I hope you enjoy creating new versions of your loved shirts!
Love this video. I have a nice white stretch cotton blouse that is too tight. I am having trouble finding the right fabric. Any suggestions? Thank you.
I would probably use a another light cotton fabric maybe in a light color?
Thank u so much.i got a short sleeve night robe thats snug & ima try this.i have another robe same material ill use as the inserts.i may even make a belt for it.❤ love how detailed u are in this tutorial
I am so glad it helped! Thank you for watching!
Just what I was looking for thank you for sharing.
What about the hem? Is it just a cut edge without folding it over?
I’d fold it under and stitch.
Is it possible to make the upper back of a shirt bigger by cutting down the middle and putting and inverted triangle gusset in? Snagged a really cool printed blouse at a thrift store that is a little too tight across my shoulders in the back.
Hi, adding to the back would give you a little extra room but the sleeves would still be tight so you would actually want to add room there as well.
I like the shirt on the mannequin. Do you have a video on how to do that?
Yes! It is the Geometric Colorblock Top Pattern - ua-cam.com/video/1dJGpoXrv74/v-deo.html
What about the hem?
You would need to pick it open and then add the panel to that length or cut it off and have the short be a bit shorter. Your choice! ❤
What if I want the extra room under the armpit? I don't think I want that point at the top of that triangle.
much easier just to place the paper underneath your unpicked side seam and draw it there without having to measure at all !
Hi, how do you trace paper under fabric? I’m sorry don’t mean to sound stupid but I am thinking if I place under fabric how can I see to trace.
The t shirt that i have doesn't have seams to rip out.
Could you cut up the sides where you would seam rip?
Could you just put the pattern paper under the shirt and trace?
