    For the offolterianum, Its a super strong plant. I got mine imported from ecuagenera about a month ago, not only did it come with a leaf on the way, like in the cataphyll, but that leaf survived and started growing while I was rehabbing the roots. Its still growing AND there is another leaf on the way. It has barely any roots in water right now.

    I have a waterburyanum, a queen and hybrid of the two. The hybrid is just beautiful. It’s taken a while but the latest leaf on mine is almost as big as your queen but no veins. It’s so much more easy going than its individual parents. You have some unusual varieties. They are stunning

    Hey Memo, again a great and entertaining video, thank you so much ! Your collection is absolutely amazing! I totally agree on the Arrow, it was one of my first anthuriums and it is huge, although I had it for only 9 months. I also put my Balanoanum intuitively on a moss back (it’s like a wide flat-ish moss pole with a plastic back which I made from a clear bottle of distilled water) and it rooted in absolutely crazy, I wish I could show you! It’s still quite small because I got it as a baby, but it immediately rooted into the pole and it’s given me at least 4 leaves since I got it (about 6 months ago). It’s not sizing up like crazy, but growing a strong stem and almost bushy, so dense. I like it very much. I recently got another strap leaf in addition to my Vittarifolium, a Ceronii. It’s looking great so far. I wish there’d be a velvety strap leaf, I’d go crazy if there’d be one with silver veins, please someone tell me there’s one out there!!
    Can’t wait for part 3 where you show us all the other anthuriums you’ve forgotten 😂!

    Thank you Memo I’ve really enjoyed these Anthurium videos. I’ve just bought my first 2 Anthurium back in February, both based on your recommendations. One I mentioned in your previous video the other being the A.pedatum, I’m really happy with this plant, coming from a nursery into my colder house back in February it hasn’t missed a beat and has given me a new larger leaf in my care already, I’m really looking forward to watching the progression in shape of its leaves. I’ve also added 2 more Anthuriums to my list after watching your video lol you’re quite the enabler!

    Thank you for part 2. I was looking forward to it a lot because you show so many different Anthuriums and leave shapes. I often get the feeling that there are many heart-shaped, dark, velvety ones, so seeing your collection made me realize how different they can be. I have been thinking about getting a strappy leaf Anthurium, so your videos were very help6, thank you so much ❤
    Are you going to film you allotment anytime soon? I can imagine that there is a lot happening and starting to grow. I'm excited to see how it's going.
    Have a nice rest of you Sunday. ❤

    This saved my day. I enjoyed watching your video. My easiest elongated anthuriums are the Pallidiflorum, friedrichthalii and the pallidiflorum Guayusa. The last one doesn't have the velvety leaves but they are wider than those of the normal Pallidiflorum. My other good grower is the Anturium polychichtum. It grows so fast and needs a mosspole from the beginning on. My Luxurians are doing great, but I keep them on the dry side. Up till now I had no fuzz with them.

    Loving the more unusual non velvet collection. Am also collecting some of those. My decipiens is a monster and I need to find a much larger clear pot and am trying sort of semi-hydro with soil (I know). It drinks water this Spring like crazy. I’m also trying that dodgy method with eminens. Now I’m worried omg - 2? Yikes!

    • @Houseplantygoodness
      @Houseplantygoodness  6 місяців тому

      Glad you enjoyed the video! 🌿 Decipiens can indeed grow like monsters! Good luck with your semi-hydro setup! 🌸✨ Yeah I know maybe a bit harsh with my Eminens, but I think I need to add it to soil rather than semihydro mix, I have a sneaky suspicion that it has thinner roots and that does better in soil mixes I think.

  • @ConnieP92
    @ConnieP92 6 місяців тому +1

    Anthurium Arisaemoides also gives me Monstera Peru vibes. Thanks for the recommendation on choosing the Luxurians hybrid over the straight Lux...it's probably cheaper here in Australia too 🫡

  • @tim_meister
    @tim_meister 6 місяців тому +1

    Interesting to see that the waterburyanum got a high score from you, for me its been nothing but problems. IF I keep it in 100% humidity it seems to do fine but outside of that it just stops growing and the leaves start crisping. I would give it a 2 and go with the queen since it looks nicer and actually does a little better for me.

    • @Houseplantygoodness
      @Houseplantygoodness  6 місяців тому +1

      Humidity can be a game-changer for some Anthuriums, but bizarrely enough this one in my collection gets about 50-60% humidity, but I do have it in semihydro, maybe that is the difference? ! 🌿 Everyone’s experience can vary, which is why I find that one experience does not fit all and you sharing yours is invaluable for the wider conversation on this plant. Thanks for sharing yours, Tim! 🌸✨

    I was able to get a 6" struggling anthirium pedatoradiatum for $10. So far, knock on wood, it has gotten 2 new leaves since I brought it home. Was hoping it would be in your Part II. This is my first anthirium.

      Damn it 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 I knew I would forget one 🤦🤦🤦🤦 overall tricky with temp and very thirsty, for this or that, waterburyanum over the queremalense, similar in look but easier, score 6/10

    • @Houseplantygoodness
      @Houseplantygoodness  6 місяців тому +1

      Don’t worry! 😊 I’d recommend starting with a more forgiving species like Anthurium crystallinum or even the vittarifolium if you want something different. They are beautiful and less demanding! 🌿✨

      The humble Anthurium andraeanum would also be an option if it doesn't have to be a rare one. They are readily available and not expensive. Just make sure to get rid of the nursery substrate and make an appropriate one.
