Thanks for watching, and let me know your favourite part of the day in the comments below and if you would like to see more heritage weekends on my channel? 🎥❤
Great video, well put together not only showing the 40’s themed weekend but the places that the train stopped at. Loved seeing the 40’s clothes and singing, enjoyment had by all.
@@Somersetmanwalking thanks Darren, definitely recommend it. I am keeping an eye out in charity shops for more 1940s style clothing for events next year 😊
@@WerreSurfer oh wow thanks for watching and commenting from Germany 👋 It was a brilliant weekend and we are looking forward to more heritage events next year ☺️
Beautifully presented and very well put together! I’m glad that you both had such a wonderful experience; we regularly attend this event. I’m in your film at Watchet Harbour quite a few times (evening all), with several of my reenactor friends. Well done indeed❗️👍🏻🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed watching. It was such a brilliant day. I am going to cover more heritage weekends and days out around Somerset. That’s great that you spotted yourself a few times. We loved all the people who made the effort to dress up as it definitely adds to the whole experience.
Superb.Well done everyone. That pub you showed at the end looked more like the Esplanade Club. Pebbles Tavern is a little bit smaller. Both are great pubs. Pebbles is a few seconds walk down the road from the Esplanade.
Oh yes you’re absolutely right - I got confused as I couldn’t remember the name and when you mentioned it, I thought it must be that one 😅 We loved Watchet so would love to go back and film the area properly so we’ll have to visit the Pebbles Tavern then. I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
A reality lovely video Nicola. The atmosphere of the 1940s weekend really came over so well in it. I love riding the West Somerset Railway and their themed days are extra special. The Radio Museum is one place on my West Country bucket list to visit. I am a massive radio fan and I know I will be fascinated when I visit there.
@@SouthWestSundays oh thank you so much for the lovely feedback 🙏 We’ve visited on a regular day too and also thoroughly enjoyable, but as as you say, extra special when it’s an event. Do you have any particular favourite events? I think you would love the Radio Museum. Definitely worth a visit.
Sorry to hear it broke up - it seems to be ok on ours so hopefully just a digital blip 🤞 I hope it didn’t spoil your viewing experience. I really appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching.
