Ayup. Buuuut a lot of folks think the expansion its largely taking from (legion) is where the setting jumped the shark. Hard to care about killing boars on Azeroth after travelling to SPACE and killing a god of death.
8:15 weird question: do temporary cards trigger discard effects? Like, this with Malchezaar’s Imp for 3 mana turning this into a draw 3 doesn’t seem like the worst thing in the world if it works the way I think it does. Otherwise, I don’t really see it doing much…
The Asteroid mechanic is what interests me most among these. The Shaman set is pushing it and it seems to be them taking Incindius's gimmick and turning it into a full fledged archetype. Incindius, while not exactly great due to how slow it was for the meta it was released, was still a fun card people ran for the hell of it. So I'm glad the devs aren't totally scrapping the idea and are instead giving us a "2.0" version.
You can play Stranded Spaceman the Turn before Velen to give him Rush so it will be more easy to trigger the effect without worrying about Reno, silence, Yogg, or Reska (still idk if Velen is a Real win con for a draenei deck considering there is a LOT of removal in the game right now)
The 2/5 stealth? card is a cool arena card I think, both a good response and a decent body to develop that will stay around if there's nothing good to hit. All the weird defensively statted rush cards have been pretty decent but needed the right targets or they would feel awkward - the potential stealth will make it playable at any time
8 mana 32/32 worth of raw stats, nothing crazy. Yeah, board presence literally doesn't even matter anymore at all nowadays, they have to do something with that.
Definitely feel like the dev team is trying to reduce the power creep this expansion. Whether this will be another Rastakhan's rubbish remains to be seen but at least with the dranei tribe and bringing back a lot of old keywords it has a better chance of lowering the power curve.

It's a 5 mana card that needs another turn to get full value out of it. That was always slow.

This card could be good for the inner fire priest if it still was a thing.
Mutating Lifeform is just a story in a card. A random alien creature that gets new abilities the more you attack is a spooky concept.
