Card Review | Hearthstone | The Great Dark Beyond Card Review #4
Gravity Lapse also might fit into Overheal. Sets Hedanis’ health to full without having to waste a heal. Sounds bad.
It’s not like it’s insanely common but they’ve printed enough of these “repeatable this turn” cards that they could’ve just brought back echo as an evergreen keyword
Maybe they just forgot about this keyword 😂
It's not always about how common a mechanic is. "Repeatable this turn" doesn't use that many words to explain how it works, meaning an extra keyword for new players to learn wouldn't make sense. That is also why they removed the Enrage keyword.
@@Schimpafflonalso repeatable this turn is literally stronger than echo because echo can't cost less than 1 on the echoes
God the flavor on the priest spells are amazing
Oh priest when will you get good cards and a better class identity? 🥺
are we watch different cards? It's good in control as almost always, one issue is combo decks who destroy control decks
Turn 1 the 3/3, orbital halo on it, it silences off, shame concede.
I feel like Overheal Priest is like Taunt Warrior
Every expansion, the designers remember they exist and give them a card or two
I've been wanting to play priest for a while and these cards are looking quite juicy IMO.
I just might build a priest deck this expansion
@14:05 it definitely works the way you think it does. We have an example with automaton in battlegrounds where playing the tavern spell to set its stats to 20/20 buffs it by 18/15 if there are no other buffs other than the aura.
Pretty excited for a priest card for once. Gravity lapse has a lot of utility for the cost especially if it can slow down aggro decks.
Gravity Lapse *should* do what you think it does - playing the Eudora treasure that summons 7 1/1 copies of a minion on an Earthern Golem applies the aura, and I think Automatons work the same
the vol'jin tourist card works exactly like that with automatons, so gravity lapse should be the same
anchorite with gravity lapse and things like circle of healing could be a bloodlust type with some hoops
anchorite might have potential as an inner fire enabler, turn all your cheap healing spells into max health then use topsy turvy to push for lethal
Continuing with the trend of printing uselesss gimmicky epic cards for priest is a must!
The good thing for To'cha is that priest has access to weapons which makes it easier to change your life total
Overzealous Healer is the most 5* card ive seen in a long time
My first thought too
kure being a threat your opponent has to burn removal on is probably good enough if he fits in a deck not built around it
The point that you can end on a non-holy spell with K'ure is apt, and I bet people will make the mistake of "But I want my K'ure to end with spellburst on for next turn!" not realizing that its basically guaranteed to die next turn, so you might as well finish on a non-holy spell if you have one.
Depends on board state and enemy hand or who you're facing etc etc
I think the 1 mana 3/3 is going to be a huge mistake in velen decks, I feel like that 6-12 healing for the opponent is going to end up losing more games than a 1 mana 3/3 will win them. I also feel like comparing lightspeed to power chord: synchronize is doing a massive disservice. The only reason power chord saw play was the copy effect, the finale for +1/+2 on board and to the copy added to hand was nice extra value but if you take away the copy effect nobody is using it after they try it (How many people have you seen run sunscreen since the first week it came out? that;s 1 mana for +1/+2, it's cheaper and it's tied into other cards that give it to you which in themselves aren't bad. +1/+2 isn't that great of a value and 2 mana for a slight buff +rush doesn't seem that amazing to me)
Hmm with this new cards priest has some low cost buff cards.
Ok, this has some potential with Love everlasting…
1 mana 3/3?! In what world are we living already?
Just one stat more than zombie chow after how many years??
Mystified To'Cha: Soooo, it's Prince Renathal with a caveat?
I think its actually better because presumably If you are at 12 health you will then be set to 42 effectively gaining 30 health.
OG Reno Jackson with a different requirement
@@barcster2003 any opponent with a brain will stop attack you at 13 or 14 health , people are gonna to figure this out really quickly like how they counter ice block
@usernamehyt ok but as a priest you have a way to manipulate health. The combined life total has to be 42 not necessarily dependent on your life total.
Anchorite for 3 into circle of healing for 0. Give everything +6 health
ngl this expac looks pretty good
So to sum up your priest review: Check back in a year when they could be good cards 😅
Another sad, disjointed Priest set with uninspiring cards that, in many cases, are anti-synergy cards.
its not just draw its tutor
Priest continues to get mid cards. super disappointing.
Probably, but people often underrate cards just because they are not a value pile for itself, we have to see what's the meta first.
Askara and Shield of Askara seem good to me tbh, Gravity Lapse could be good for control, Overzealous Healer has insane stats, Anchorite can be good for overheal (will see), To’Cha is. fun card which could possibly be good (or just memey but still fun). I actually think Priest got a lot of nice cards that help certain archetypes. Not sure how good K’ure will be tho
@@DavidPachón8591 This expansion offers priest yet again more control cards, which they have ample of. However, most control decks need a way to end the game or ways to outlast burst. Ex. Brann + unkilliax in warrior or death knight vampire blood + corpiscle. Whatever deck the devs are trying to make for priest will see no relevant play & it makes me super annoyed. Overheal is niche, zarimi gets outclassed by refined aggro decks and doesnt have enough quality dragons. This is mid.
Edit* I play priest every season (it’s my favorite class), and eventually am forced to switch decks just to make it to diamond 5 (because it’s just easier to do so). Everyone loves to hate priest but its bottom 8-10 class every season from my exp. Zarimi was the first interesting win condition in a while and they nerf it (without offering more dragons) but kept mage degenerate mana cheating viable. Im just ranting at this point, carry on.
@@cliffordadam100 there's a reason of why i said probably, mate, just saying we can't predict what is going to happen to the meta even if at the start could be awful.
Priest, uh... finds a way
Tocha might be not a fantastic card but I love it as a card
Ethereal Oracle alone might be enough to make chalice spell damage druid a deck again.
No one but me cares, but the naaru have weird name pronunciations. K'ure is pronounced "Quo Ray".
Anyway, I do like these cheap spells on Priest that will help deal with Demon Hunter aggro decks.
K'ure is going to be broken i said it now
I think mystified tocha has high potential
Majority of the stufff Priest are getting this expansion, are garbage. No surprise.
None of these moves the needle. So Priest will still be bottom tier.
I love Blizzard's design phlisophy. Let's give the worst class, not only weak cards, but also very stiuational cards. Like who thought Gravity Lapse is a good idea? Anchorite? To'cha? I think anyone with a functional brain and minimal HS experience, could come up with something better.
Anchorite is good. It allows you to add total health to minions.
Is priest the worst class? Looking at the meta decks, overheal priest is doing better than any warrior.
@BlueSapphyre I don't know in alot of instances I seem to come up agaisnt impossible to deal with stuff as people aggro you even with healing by like turn 6.
@@barcster2003Sorry, but this is a very Mid Card. Its effect, is not even that good. The fact that it even came with strings attached, is just truly mind boggling stuff.
First time ever being first 😭😭😭
Oh my god To'cha is so cute
The 1/3/3 wont be cool with velen, helaing the enemy
You won't use that in those greedy control decks, it's way better for an aggro priest I think
